Chapter 31
Lina's POV
Sister? They were related? I wasn't the only one surprised by what I just heard. Everyone was.
"They're siblings?"
"They look nothing alike."
Laurisa's eyes burned with fury as Raphael's grip tightened around her throat. Black energy surged violently around her arm, crawling up his wrist like living smoke.
"Let go," she snarled.
Raphael's expression remained cold, he didn't even look like someone who was about to strangle his so called sister to death. "You've embarrassed yourself." he growled, his claws extending and piercing into her flesh, drawing blood.
Her aura flared again, stronger this time. The pressure pushed several guards back. I felt it press against my ribs like invisible hands trying to squeeze the air out of me. She wasn't weak, not even close.
For a second, just a second, Raphael's arm shifted slightly. The marble beneath his feet cracked deeper from the force of both their auras.
