Chapter 27
Seris' POV
My fist clenched as I hurried to my room. I couldn't help the rage twisting within me.
I marched into my chambers, my chest heaving from barely controlled fury. My vision blurred. I reached for the vase on the table, letting out a shrill scream as I slammed it to the floor. It shattered instantly.
"Who does she think she is, huh?" I yelled, frustration eating it's way through me.
Porcelain fragments skidded across the marble like frightened insects. My breathing came sharp and uneven, my wolf pacing violently beneath my skin.
A servant near the doorway flinched.
I hadn't even noticed her.
She stood frozen, her eyes wide and hands trembling around the tray she carried.
"Out." I growled.
She nearly tripped over herself rushing away, and the doors slammed shut behind her.
I dragged my fingers through my hair, pacing the length of the room. My pulse thundered in my ears, every thought circling back to the same image.
