Chapter 25
Kain's POV
I paced endlessly in my room, my mind filled with nothing but one person. Lina.
Somehow, everything had become worse since after I marked her. I was actually going insane.
At first I thought I was just bitter because she had rejected and disgraced me, but it had to be more than that.
Because why else couldn't I bear knowing someone else had marked her. Why couldn't I get her out of my head for even a moment.
I could think of only one solution. Maybe this insanity could be tamed if she was near me.
I couldn't bear the thought of her choosing someone else over me, but I also hated her too much to admit how much I wanted her to be mine.
The door to my room was forced open, and Brielle rushed over to me, her face burning with rage.
She slapped me, hard, forcing my face to the left. "You thought I wouldn't know?" She barked. "You thought I wouldn't sense that you marked another? You pathetic cheater."
