ෆ GENESIS ෆ
¹ When me and you were not born, our Father (God) made the heavens and the earth. ² the earth did not have its shape and it was empty, and darkness covered the deep waters.
God's spirit was above the waters.³ Then God said, "Let there be light," and the light came. ⁴ God knew the light was good. Then He separated the light from the darkness. ⁵ He called the light "Day" and the darkness "Night." Now evening slept and morning woke up! making it the first day.
⁶ Then God said, "Let there be a space between the waters to separate the waters in heaven and the waters on earth." ⁷ So that is what happened! God made a space to separate waters on earth from the waters in heaven. ⁸ God called the space "sky." Now evening slept and morning woke up! Making it the second day.
⁹ Then God said, "Let the waters on earth gather together in one place, so dry ground can be seen." So that is what happened! ¹⁰ God called the dry ground "Land" and the waters "Seas." And God knew it was good.
¹¹ Then God said, "Let the land grow greenery-every seed- growing plants, and tree seeds that grow fruit! These seeds will grow up like the original plant and tree it came from." So that is what happened! ¹² The land gave greenery-all kinds of seeds growing plants, and seeds with trees growing fruits. Their seeds grew plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. ¹³ Now evening slept and morning woke up! making it the third day.
¹⁴ Then God said, "Let lights pop up in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. ¹⁵ let the lights shine down on the earth." So that is what happened! ¹⁶ God made two great lights-The brighter light watched over the day, and the dimmer light watched over the night. He also made the stars. ¹⁷ God placed these lights in the sky to light the earth, ¹⁸ to watch over the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God knew it was good. ¹⁹ Now evening slept and morning woke up! Making it the fourth day.
²⁰ Then God said, "Let the waters have fish and other sea animals. Let the skies be filled with all kinds of birds." ²¹ He created great animals, birds, and bugs, each of them giving birth to more of its kind. And God knew it was good. ²² Then God blessed them saying, "be fruitful, and mate. Let the fish fill the seas, and let the birds fill the skies." ²³ Now evening slept and morning woke up! Making it the fifth day.
²⁴ Then God said, "Let the earth grow all kinds of animal, each making children of its own kind-Animals, birds, and bugs." So that's what happened! ²⁵ God made all kind of animals, birds, and bugs, each able to give birth. And God knew it was good.
²⁶ Then God said, " let us make people the way we imagine them, to be like us. They will watch over the fish and the sea, the birds above, and animals." ²⁷ So God created people in is own imagination. In the imagination of God he created people; both male and female! ²⁸ Then God blessed them and said, "be fruitful and mate. Fill the earth and watch over it. Watch over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all animals."
²⁹ Then God said, "see! I gave you seeds to grow plants across earth and all the fruit trees for your food. ³⁰ And I gave every green plant to feed animals, birds, and bugs-everything that is alive." So that is what happened! ³¹ Then God looked at what he made, he saw it was good! Now evening slept and morning woke up! Making it the sixth day.
