A day had passed since Silas decided to join in the organisation with Elenor . Honestly it was a pretty irrational thing to do, and he was aware of it himself. He couldn't comprehend how he agreed so easily too , at least that'd what he said to himself .
While he was on the run , it was the people surrounding him who informed the police his location. From the moment his actions were made public , he can feel the hatred and fear the public had from their face.
Honestly he didn't blame them, any rational person would react the same way. The truth was bitter, people treated him that way because he deserved it, he knows that too . He wished he knew how to properly use his ability, but that was all he thought about. He wasn't guilty at all ,he only thought he could've avoided it. It was his indifference to his actions that made him scary, he was scared of himself at this point too. He tried making himself repent, but somehow he didn't feel guilty at all ,this change in him made him feel terrified of himself. At the beginning he convinced himself that he didn't feel anything because he was tired , but as days passed he wasn't sure anymore.
He wanted to feel the way he did before ,maybe if he didn't have an ability would he feel better,then he thought about his mother. If he didn't have his powers who'd know what would have happened to his mother. He had mixed opinions on his powers.
Days passed, Eleanor made him stay at a room in the organisations head quarters. As there was nothing to do,he kept himself busy with his thoughts. He realised that it wasn't his emotions that he lost, it's just that he isn't feeling anything. He felt numb and hollow. This sensation was killing him from the inside ,sleep wasn't helping anymore. He woke up every morning feeling tired. It was like he was living constantly in an edge .
Finally after a long time,Eleanor said he can be free now . Eleanor gave him basic informations ,the organisation that took him in was called 'Black Society'. She told him that he wouldn't be allowed to see their boss until he proved himself trustworthy,which simply means that they wouldn't mind eliminating him if he was a threat to them. They prohibited him from meeting with his mother, which frustrated him a little.
For a while they gave him basic training . Once he completed his basic training , they made him join Eleanor to learn . The basic training was brutal , they called it basic but it wasn't, it was torturous he felt bad for whoever took this training before him .
He learned that being assigned with Eleanor is similar to pulling out the weeds.people who are doing this job are literally playing with their lives, if you aren't competent you will be killed on the spot. Her job mainly deals with assassinations and dealing with others with powers ,after learning she was an assassin it confused him why she was against him killing the officers.
Eleanor taught him about her previous job to help him and he learned them without hesitation. They started developing a friendship too.
Four months later
Silas was 14 now ,things were going pretty smoothly till now. Eleanor and Silas were pretty friendly with each others now. One morning, when they were hanging out with each other,a boy called them saying the branch leader summoned them. Black Society currently had 7 branch leaders and each of them dealt with their respective fields .
After the meeting concluded,Eleanor had a grim expression while Silas had his poker face as always. They were given a mission , Silas didn't understand anything they spoke in the meeting cause it was all new to him .
Eleanor looked grim for a while and said "we are asked to suppress the special division of military in one of our branch", she looked at his confused expression and said " before you ask anything this military we're talking about is different from the government's secret military.The special division was given autonomy by the government, it was a move by the government to keep us in check. This arrangement maintains the power balance in our country" she explained .
"Since our eastern branch deals with diamond exports. The military is trying to cease the illegal trade happening over there."
Silas was quite loaded with all the new informations , " what should we do then?" He asked. " First we infiltrate our branch in the east , then assess the situation over there. I am sure some of our people would be stuck there, so we help them out first . Then we attack . For this plan to work we need to some more men."
Silas was stunned by how quick she was to come up with a plan. He learned that she was older than him,but still she was only 15 .
