Today I woke without a smile on my face.Glitter greeted me but I couldn't fine it in my heart to reply or do anything really after my baby brother died and my sister was missing.We don't whether she is dead or not.Tears started to my eyes again at the thought.
Someone knocked on my door multiple times before coming in and setting my food on the table."You should really eat something.At least have lunch"I slowly got up to look at Caleb.He seemed tired and worn out.Sadness filled his beautiful eyes."Why?It won't bring Nate back or help us find Alexa"
"We have found her and if you eat your food,get dressed and meet me at father's study.Upon hearing his words ,hope filled my heart."Where is she?"I asked."Eat your food"came his reply.
I got up to eat but I fell to the ground due to lack of strength in my body."See.This is why you need food in your system"Caleb teased as he helped me to my seat. My face flushed red .
After eating I took a bath and got dressed.The first day after Nate died was a like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from and everyday after that had been a reminder of his death. A week has past since then and I still couldn't bring myself to be happy.
Heading to the study wearing a black dress,people kept on giving weird and funny looks.There seemed to be a family nesting going on.Caleb beckoned me to his side ."I heard you guys had news about Alexa"I said.
My father seemed to avoid my gaze as he passed me a letter.I opened the letter and read it in my mind.The contents shocked me. Alexa had been captured by the vampires and they want to end this war by an arranged marriage. "Have you sent a reply yet?"
"Not yet,but we've decided to say no"came the reply from my father.
"After my brother was murdered, sister captured and you don't want me to save her, Why?"
"Because I don't want to trade one daughter for another" My father said.
"But father a week ago the vampires managed to break through our defenses and attack this castle killing Nate.If I don't marry him then it might be Alexa next."
"I won't sacrifice my first born daughter. Don't give me that you know mages are stronger than vampires."
"I'm a princess this is my job.What about the soldiers risking their life?"
