I stared outside the window of the carriage as my kingdom faded out of view already missing my family wishing I somehow spent more time with them especially Nate.
Prince Leon was siting next to me with his legs crossed.For a vampire his hair was colorful—like a witch—.His beautiful eyes seemed to shine in the darkness like sunlight on a sunny day."You can keep staring at me till your hearts content, Princess." Realizing I was caught staring too long, my face turned beet red—my mind scrambling to find an excuse—"It's not like that, your highness. The view from your window looked stunning."
His lips turned upwards to form a smirk."Whatever makes you sleep well at night."
Paying him no attention, I turned my face towards the window once more.The wind hitting my face was slowly lulling me to sleep.
The seats of the carriage were comfortable but not as much as my bed at home nonetheless my head rested against the seats as I fell asleep.
I woke up with my head leaning on something hard but comfortable.When did the carriage get this comfortable "You can lean on me for as long as you like.",a deep voice said. I immediately raised my head from his shoulders.I can't believe I slept on a vampire of all things.
"My sincere apologies, Prince Leon, this won't happen again.
"It's fine, you just snore too loudly". He teased.
"How dare you? No I don't"
"Really…Okay then, where's your proof? Have you heard yourself when you sleep?
"No but my maids would have told me if—"
"and risk a punishment? I don't think so"
"You would punish your servants for something so trivial? No wonder. Says more about you than me by the way."I retorted which he seemed speechless about.
Before we could continue, the carriage came to a stop and jumped out to speak with the others. The door opened to reveal the Prince standing there with his hands stretched with I took " We will be staying at this inn for the night."

The inn room was spacious with floor to ceiling windows covered by blue curtains and a nice,plush carpet under my feet.
It was almost perfect—keyword almost—except for the giant elephant in the room begging to be addressed. There was only one bed in the room albeit, a king sized one. The thought of sharing a bed with a vampire was something if you told me a month ago, I wouldn't believe.
Someone knocked on my door. Two girls who seemed human,came in and introduced themselves as Liz and Cassandra, my maids. They left shortly after to draw my bath and noticed me when they were done.
I dipped my hand in the water before entering. Afterwards, the maids began working on my hair—massaging and washing — with different oils. It was so relaxing I nearly fell asleep before realizing it best not to stay in for too long."Can you guys please excuse me for a bit?"They both bowed and took their leave.
I finished and left with just a bathrobe to cover me before choosing to wear a black nightgown.
