Bella's POV
I watched Gideon's fury boil over, a subtle smirk tugging at my lips.
'Already cracking under pressure? This is only the start,' I mused with amusement.
I caught Rosalind's eye with a deliberate glance. She understood immediately, flashing me a quick nod before spurring her horse forward to take point.
Gideon fell for it completely, mistaking Rosalind's advance as a direct assault. He jerked his reins tight, spun his mount around, and bolted after her.
His teammates sat frozen in bewilderment, silently questioning whether this was still polo or had devolved into some wild chase scene.
The ball sat abandoned in their wake.
That's when I made my move. I swept my mallet down, scooped up the ball, and charged toward the goal with the prize secured in my control.
Gideon didn't even notice until it was over.
I'd just scored another goal.
Two goals back-to-back, barely seconds apart.
