Chapter 6 – C-Rank Boss: Shadow Giant
As Rex moved deeper into the dungeon tunnels, a dark, rumbling sound echoed around him. Even the crystals on the walls seemed to vibrate with the noise. Suddenly, a massive shadow appeared — a towering creature with armor-like skin and glowing red eyes… a C-Rank boss!
Rex's breath caught. Every step the boss took shook the ground and rattled the walls.
"Okay… this is seriously a problem," Rex muttered.
The creature attacked. Its enormous arms tried to crush Rex, and energy waves from its mouth destroyed everything in their path. Rex leapt to the side, flames and blue energy swirling around his sword once again.
Fssshhh!
He swung his sword, leaving a small scratch on the boss's armor. But it was not enough. The boss was faster, stronger, and every move was deadly. Rex stayed focused, calculating each strike and planning his attacks carefully.
The boss lifted into the air, its massive wings flapping, while shadowy limbs lashed out like living darkness. Rex jumped, dodged, and gathered all his strength into a single strike.
Fssshhh! Krrraaasshh!
A massive explosion erupted, energy waves shaking the entire chamber. Rex stood, panting, but unbroken. The boss slowly collapsed. Its red eyes dimmed, its armor cracked, and silence fell over the dungeon.
From the boss's body, Rex collected 50 valuable jewels, a C-Rank sword, and a legendary piece of armor. The dungeon was finally calm; all threats had been defeated.
"That… was tough," Rex said, drenched in sweat. "But I've grown stronger. No matter who or what comes next, I'll be ready."
Rex walked toward the dungeon exit, his eyes shining with both victory and determination for the adventures ahead.
And thus, Rex completed his first major dungeon journey.
