Mason ran towards her and held her In his arms, her eyes were closed, the corners of her eyes were bleeding tensing him up more the twins came running as well Joseph had a big frown on his forehead as he could not tolerate this man around anymore but he could not as well say anything because that man was not just another man but a royal family member.
Jodeth was calling out roselle while tapping her cheeks softly when a thought went through her mind, 'What if they punish us for using magic ' little did she know mason was hearing her thoughts.
He did that cuz he wanted to find out what is wrong with them and what happened a few moments ago was linked with them or not
"Rose" called Jason softly while creasing her face and hair
She opened up her eyes slowly
terror so visible that all three of the could feel it.
"I- she - I don't wanna die- she'll kill-"
she panicked

tears went down her cheeks
Mason hugged her out of a sudden "It's okay, it's totally okay Rose" he said in between creasing her head and hugging her giving her more comfort "I'm here , no one is going to hurt you , no can hurt you at all"
He reassured while she took deep long breathes, the twins wanted to reach out but did not as they could see how she was also holding on tight it looks like she was feeling safe, she kept blabbering and he kept patting her back and reassuring her and finally she could feel like letting herself loose and finding comfort in his arms, something inside her could now feel safe and secure.
' he's here , no one's coming ' she thought and he heard.

After they all headed back and Mason came back to palace the first thing that went through his head was

the phrase she repeated waking up in her head.
he needs to know what that means and what she was hearing before the fire blazed up.
He was also worried about the Royal rules being broken it was so obvious rose performed magic involuntarily but royal hearings might call her up and he did not want that to happen specially after witnessing her paranoid condition.
He went straight to Sybil, one of the witches of royals who was responsible of tracking what's happening around the town on terms of performance of magic.
And If magic ever gets performed she immediately knows it and then she decides if she needs to report it or not according to the situation, if the magic gets performed under the royal order she doesn't report it and it is already under observation but if it is done uninformed the royal guards are sent immediately to bring the person for hearing.
When he went to Sybil she was sitting in the dark room with everything creepy inside, 'anyone would tell she was the witch, I mean the vibes are present ' thought Mason
"you're here, something important I assume" said Sybil her eyes were closed and the the fire in the hearth was normal not fuming, sign that she's not doing something witchy right now.
"I have something to ask you" said Mason,
Sybil was also one of the most trusted people for Mason, he always had questions she happily answers, without letting his father know mason is up to finding something.
"Did someone performed magic around the Town" he asked twisting his words as he exactly wanted to know what Sybil knows, maybe he would not need to confess something more as he might get answers before it.
Sybil frowned, that was unexpected as how come he would know about magic being performed, 'was he there' she thought and he heard but did not react to it.
"Strange, coming from you and the answer is Yes"
she said without hesitating and hiding.
he waited for a bit for her to continue but she turned around closing her eye again holding some herbs
"wait" he said and she looked back gesturing a 'What?' look
"Tell me what you know about it?" he said while she smiled a bit with a touch of cold expression
"you were there weren't you?" she said making him a bit worried she might report roselle yet he did not make it obvious
"How about you tell me about it ?" she said making him frown this time
"what do you mean?" he said almost annoyed
"what I mean is, I know the magic was performed, I know that t
two siblings performed it collectively BUT what I don't know is that, where did they perform it , on whom?, and why!"
The sudden confession left mason speeches.
'how did she not know about rose?' 'how come she does not know the place ' & ' how does she not know about the fire'
All these questions were going through his mind while he stood there like a statue when suddenly the thought crossed her mind
'the phrase' he remembered the phrase Rose was panicking about and looked at Sybil who was still looking at him confused
"would you tell me the meaning of a strange phrase that I'm about to tell you?"
he asked
"strange phrase?" she repeated followed by a quick node from Mason
"what is It?" she asked
he took a deep breath and said,

Sybil's expressions immediately changed, as she kept looking at him and then she said
"where did you heard that?"
"What does it mean?" he asked rather answering
and Sybil knew he won't tell unless answered to what he wants.
"Kill! the blood sucker, and take away what's mine, do it thus immediately, do it this urgently"
Mason looked a bit taken a back , rose was in deed in danger he thought
"This is a spell if you are not aware" said Sybil
"now you have to tell me where did you hear it? your life might be in danger mason!" she said out if frustration
"it was not for me" he said tensed up
"who was it for? whoever it is for you need to know someone is trying to kill that person" she said
Mason massaged his temples out of frustration.
suddenly he had a flashback of the day he saw rose in the royal corridor,
'what were you running from' the scenario replayed
'NOTHING' 'THE WHISPER LADY' he remembered her and her thoughts about the whispers of a female voice, was she indeed in that much trouble his jaw muscles tensed up more.
"Did this happen here in the Town? how come I not know about it?" asked Sybil
He did not answer and Left
she was on his mind and she was taking over him without him realizing
