Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 — Hestia, Can I Kiss You Now?

[Standard Banner: Danmachi Lv.2]4-Star Items: Fireball, Ice Bolt, Bull Instinct, Heroic Desire, Swift Strike, Mind Load, Fox Magic... 3-Star: Lv.2 Specified Stat Boost (+100), Skill Proficiency Boost (100 days) x10... Cost: 100,000 Valis per 10-pull. Note: Guaranteed 4-star at 85 pulls (reduced from 90 due to Luck I).

[Event Banner: Genshin Impact Lv.2]4-Star Items: Constellation Vouchers, Sacrificial Sword, Sacrificial Bow, Favonius Sword, Low-tier Artifacts, Wangsheng Spear Techniques, Alchemy... Cost: 100,000 Valis per 10-pull.

Whether it was the Level 1 pool that had been available for over ten days or the newly refreshed Level 2 pool, the pity threshold had dropped from 90 pulls to 85 thanks to the [Luck I] ability. Additionally, the base "rate-up" probability for specified items had increased slightly.

This meant Levi could spend less Valis to obtain the items he needed.

As for the fact that the cost of pulling from the Level 2 pool had increased tenfold, to be honest, it didn't surprise him. Higher-tier items naturally had better effects and, consequently, higher prices. That was only logical.

However, this meant he would need to go full throttle on gold farming over the next half month. Otherwise, he might face the embarrassment of not pulling a single 4-star item before the event banner ended.

That being said, Levi didn't immediately rush back to the Dungeon to earn Valis. He hadn't forgotten the agreement he had made with his Goddess.

He immediately rolled over—ignoring the startled cry of the person behind him—and said in a voice deeper than usual, "Hestia, can I kiss you now?"

Because they had been busy all night, it wasn't until nearly noon the next day that Levi and Hestia, who was nestled in his arms, finally opened their eyes.

"Good morning, my Lady." "Good morning, my Knight."

Hestia clearly wasn't finished with the roleplay game from the previous night. After greeting him, she leaned in and gave her dependent a loud smack of a kiss on the cheek.

Having rested throughout the early morning and afternoon, Levi's energy had fully recovered. Just as the sparks between them were about to ignite a second "battle," a sudden knock sounded at the church door.

"..." x2

The two burning hearts were momentarily cooled by the unexpected visitor. Levi took a deep breath and patted Hestia's leg. "Get up. Don't keep the guest waiting too long."

The twin-tailed Goddess pouted. "Fine." Before standing up, she leaned in and took a deep, lingering sniff of Levi.

About ten minutes later, a freshly dressed Hestia opened the door. Standing there was the red-haired, one-eyed Goddess, who had been waiting for a while.

Catching the slightly "peculiar" scent in the air, a knowing smirk played on Hephaestus's lips. "Hestia, it seems I've arrived at an awkward time~"

If this had been any day prior, Hestia would have been blushing furiously, at a loss for words. But the difference between a "girl" and a "woman" may only be one word, yet the change within is world-shaking. At the very least, the Blue-Ribbon Goddess, now well-acquainted with Levi's "stature" and highly satisfied with his performance, simply crossed her arms and sat leisurely on the back of a nearby bench.

"This is the first I've heard of you being such a gossip, Hephaestus."

"Oh, it's not gossip," Hephaestus said, stepping into the church. "If word got out that the three Great Virgin Goddesses of Heaven were becoming two, especially to those 'Troublemaker Gods,' it would cause quite a stir in Orario."

"True." At the mention of those meddlesome deities, Hestia looked helpless. Then, her expression turned serious. "Putting my business aside, you didn't suddenly run over just to mock me, did you?"

Hephaestus didn't deny it. "I want to make a deal with you—or more accurately, with your child." She looked around. "Speaking of which... where is he?"

"In the kitchen," Hestia replied. "We thought you were here for me, so he used making lunch as an excuse to hide."

"You certainly found yourself a good husband," Hephaestus said, half-joking and half-serious. "Mind if I stay for lunch?"

Forty minutes later, Levi had prepared four dishes and a soup. Seeing the red-haired Goddess buried in her plate, he didn't rush her with questions. Instead, he kept placing food into Hestia's bowl. The twin-tailed Goddess was a bit shy but didn't refuse her lover's affection.

The small basement space held two contrasting atmospheres: on one side, Hephaestus was fascinated by the unique seasoning and cooking techniques of a different world; on the other, the "idiot couple" was holding hands and feeding each other. Fortunately, Gods are mostly self-centered; a regular person would have lost their patience and cursed them out by now.

A few minutes later, Hephaestus patted her stomach—which showed no sign of a bulge—and sighed contentedly. "I haven't been this full in a long time. Hestia, I finally understand why you haven't been around. If my children had Levi's cooking skills, I'd stay home every day too."

"Of course! After all, he's my Levi," Hestia said, hands on her hips, her face beaming with pride.

Levi, who had a realistic view of his own culinary skills, simply smiled. Seeing the guest was finished, he asked softly, "So, Lady Hephaestus, regarding the deal you mentioned... what are the details?"
