They have finally found the exit of this level. Instead of a portal, it is just a corridor that look like the lobby of the dungeon. They exited the level and head onto the next one. the corridor is longer than they thought. The medieval wall with a few plants stick onto them. Torch hanged onto the wall, lighting the corridor that was originally dark. As they walk, they noticed a dead hero party lying against the wall. There were bites mark on the dead bodies. Someone must have dragged them out before they become the beast's meal. Raye searched the bags carried by the dead hero party and found a few piece of bread that isn't stale. Then haven't eaten anything for breakfast or lunch, they decided to eat their food and pray to the dead hero party. Raye then pulled out a bell from the hero of that party pocket and ring it.
Raye:"Alright, the worker would come and get you heal up,"
Will:"What are you doing?"
Raye:"Oh, this is a bell given to every party, if you are dead, maybe passerby hero party would noticed you and they will take the bell and ring it, this would signals the worker in the dungeon and high class priest or saint would come up and revive them,"
Al:"Saint are priests way better than usual priest as me,"
Will:"Magic is truly wonderful..."
They then continue walking until they finally reached the next level. It is night in this level. This level is a village area. The houses's door were all opened. Inside the houses were empty. There is no sign of human in the village. It is dead silence. Al noticed a blood trail leading into a forest. Blood trail that look realistic? Dungeon sure are a wonder, Will thought to himself.
Raye:"Let's follow it, I think the beast on this level is werewolf,"
Will:"Werewolf?"
Raye:"Werewolf attacks villages and drag their prey into the forest, where they live. They eat them alive and not leaving a single thing behind. You can't even find a human skull in a werewolf territory,"
They then entered the forest of this level. Unlike the previous level which is also a forest, this one is much more quieter and not lively. It is dead silence that you could even hear them breathing.
"This is much scarier than I thought,"
"Try to relax, maybe the werewolf is nearby,"
"Thanks, that didn't help at all!"
"..."
They whispered among themselves. Suddenly, they heard a noice. It does not sound like a werewolf, but much more of a person. They walked toward the sound and saw an injured beastfolk woman with cat ear and cat tail lying against a tree. Al rushed and healed her up. It seems that she lost her right arm.
Al:"Are you alright?"
?:"Ye, thanks for your help..."
Raye:"Are you here all alone miss?"
?:"No, I was separated with my party,... The werewolves bit off my arm and bit my leg,... my party left me alone and ran away..."
Will:"I seen you before...."
Raye:"Can you move now?"
?:"Ye, thanks for helping a hopeless woman fighting for her life..."
Raye:"All good, come on, lets get you going,"
?:"Thanks but why did you try to help a nearly at the verge of death woman like me?"
Raye:"We're hero, that's what we do, am I wrong?"
?:"No, not really,"
Purrine:"I'm Purrine, ouch, that really hurt..."
Purrine cover the shoulder of her right arm.
Al:"Come on, maybe we can find your right arm, I might be able to attach it if we are quick,"
Purrine:"Thanks,"
Raye:"Let's go,"
They ran deeper into the dark forrest. They followed the sound howled by the werewolves. They turned left and right walking down the path. Raye looked behind and saw everything is in darkness and noticed Will's shadow is where the darkness connects.
They finally reached to the werewolves territory. They lay lowed for a while, trying not to draw attention of the werewolves. The werewolves were eating a group of hero party. They can hear a hero of that party screaming and yelling for help. Purrine looked in shock, must have been her party that left her alone got killed.
Will:"Your friends is dead, no hope for them,"
Al:"I guess you just got attacked quite early, there is still hope for your arm to be reattached,"
Raye:"Alright, Will, make the first move and I will charge, Al will be supporting and Purrine?"
Purrine:"I'm a mage, I can use environmental magic,"
Raye:"Nice, I guess you can trap the werewolves with your magic,"
Purrine:"Sure, but be careful, it is full moon now, werewolves are aggressive then usual during this time, that's why my party lost,"
Will then cast fire magic and shot at the werewolves, the werewolves caught on fire but I didn't incinerate them.
Will:"Interesting, werewolves are have strong resistant during full moon, I wonder if blood moon..."
Raye dashed forward and use thunder magic. He dashed through the werewolves in his way and electrocute them. A few werewolves jumped and tried to attack Raye but they got caught by vine stretching from the ground. It was Purrine's doing.
They quickly wiped out the werewolves and miraculously found Purrine's right arm in a pile of dead human. Al quickly grabbed it and attached it back to Purrine.
"..., my arm, is working!"
"I'm glad we made it in time," Al sighed as he fall back onto the ground. Working as a priest sure is tough!
Raye:"I'm sorry for your party,"
Purrine:"That can't be help, thanks for saving me anyway, don't mind if I tag along with your team for a while, I have no where to go for now..."
Raye:"Sure, if that's fine with you,"
Purrine:"Really? thank you very much!"
Raye:"All good,"
Al:"I'm here if you are ever in injured again, just try to rest up and save your magic energy,"
Purrine:"Thanks, by the way, I never got your name yet,"
Raye:"I'm Raye, I'm the hero of this party, He is Al, our priest, and that guy is Will, our mage,"
Purrine:"Thank you guys,"
Raye:"Alright, up to the next level,"
