They left the wedding level and finally reached to a checkpoint. There are quite some hero parties gathered in that place. Dungeon worker can be seen from here, they must have reached the place that leads back to the dune.
"Thank you for visiting the dune,"
A female voice can be heard at a counter. Beside the counter, there is a long staircase that lead back to the dune.
Purrine:"I guess our journey end here today, thank you guys for your hospitality,"
Raye:"Sure thing,"
Al:"Keep yourself out of danger next time, I won't be there to heal you if you are in danger~"
Raye:"And you should keep yourself away from alcohol, good grief, you are so drunk right now,"
Purrine chuckled and bid farewell to Raye and the party.
Will:"Alright, we are going deeper into the dungeon, don't forget we are conquering this dungeon,"
Raye tried to climbed the staircase as Will notify Raye.
Raye:"Fine, just make things quick,"
There is another counter at another stairs that lead deeper to the dungeon. Raye and the party approached the counter to register in order to enter the deeper part of the dungeon.
"Hi, I supposed you are here to register to enter the deeper part of the dungeon, but I must remind you, the deeper parts of the dungeon hasn't been fully explored yet, so we can't assure your safety,"
Will:"Sure, just give us the form and let us enter,"
The worker did so and Raye and the party entered the dungeon with Will leading.
Raye:"He sure is enthusiastic to conquer this dungeon..."
Al:"hahaha~"
Raye:"Seriously, you need to stop drinking alcohol for now, give me that,"
Al:"Hey, give it back to me~~"
Raye:"Good grief,"
Will:"We arrived,"
A small door in front of them that is shut tightly.
Raye:"Quite a small door for a deeper level don't you think,"
Will didn't say much and opened the door. The first level of the deeper dungeon is a canyon. Space are tight and hard to move, not suitable for those who are claustrophobic.
Raye:"Alright,"
They walk inside the tight space of the canyon. Squeezing and pushing each other. There aren't any other hero party that enter the deeper part of the dungeon so they do not have to worry about hero party that is behind them. Al is still drunk so Raye has to pull him through the canyon. After a long time, they have finally reached to the peak of the canyon. The sun set at the perfect time. A breathtaking view all for the effort of reaching to the top. Will stare at it not for long before they get attacked.
Two griffins descended from the above. Raye draw out his sword, dropping the drunk priest onto the ground. Will look around and realized that they are at the nest of the griffin.
"A spot to catch the prey of guard..."
Griffin, a beast with the back body of a lion, yet a head and wings of an eagle with its talons on the front legs. A beast that fight on air and brute strength so strong that it could destroy a whole mountain alone.
Both griffin flew up in the air and dive down each aiming for Raye and Will. The one aiming Raye uses its claw to attack, Raye parried it but bounce back by a strong gusts of wind created by the griffin. the griffin aiming for Will attacked with its beak, but Will uses shadow casted from the ground and grabbed the griffin's beak and crushing it. The shadow then slashed the griffin in half, killing it. Raye uses EXCALIBUR while the griffin did a head on attack, cutting the griffin in half. More griffins appeared from below and one of them so happened to grab the drunk priest, Al with its talon. Will then cast few shadow like tentacles from the ground and each striking every griffin and killing it by ripping it in half or cutting of their head. It was a brutal sight for Raye but it is all for survival. Raye catches Al from falling down after the shadow killed the griffin grabbing Al.
After a while, the battle stop. The griffins are all dead or must have retreated. Will told Raye to collect the beaks, talons and feathers of the griffin as they cost a fortune. They placed it inside Will's shadow that act as an 'item bag magic'. They then checked on the nest of the griffin and found lots of gold. They collected it too and searched for the exit of this level.
Raye:"There isn't seem to be an exit for this level,"
Al:"Woah, what happened?"
Raye:"Oh, you're awake, griffins were attacking us while you are drunk,"
Al:"My bad..."
Will:"There is no gate or portal for the next level, though at the bottom of the cliff is a bottomless pit,"
Raye:"You reckon that we jump down?"
Will:"There isn't any other exit,"
Raye:"Looks like we got no choice,"
Al:"Wait, we are NOT jumping down that cliff!"
Raye:"Got any better idea?"
Al:"Lets just return to the checkpoint,"
Raye:"Through that tight space again? no,"
Al:"Fine,"
The three then jumped down into the abyss. They kept falling, as if there is no bottom.
Al:"You reckon we land?"
Raye:"I don't know,... wait I think I see light,"
Al:"Nice, but... how are we gonna land?"
Will then cast a shadow beneath them and they fall into it. At the bottom of the pit, a shadow opened above it and the three landed safely on the ground. Dead body piles can be seen at the bottom, must have been the past hero parties that tried to reach the next level but got killed due to fall damage. A growl can be heard in the dark. A few hyenas showed up. They growl even louder than before. They must be hungry. Raye draws out his sword and get ready for battle.
"Alright, let's do this,"
