They came out of a portal to a different area. Not the dungeon's corridor, but a lively commotion at the city square of a kingdom. People celebrating all around, Raye and the party decided to investigate.
"This kingdom looks different than the city we been before,"
Purrine stated as they investigate the commotion. It seems that there is a crowd at the palace's gate.
"Greetings, everyone, please, enjoy this event,"
A woman voice can be heard at the palace's gate.
"Please, enter and let us celebrate my wedding ceremony together,"
The gate then opened and the crowd enter it.
As Raye and the party tries to enter, they were stopped by a few guards guarding the gates.
"Excuse us, but, where are you from, this is the princess wedding ceremony, and any other event shall not be execute in there, please leave,"
Raye look at the crowd and realized something, they are dressed formerly, a big difference with Raye and the party, who are just wearing fit that are suitable for their battle.
"Sorry, we do not intend to bring any harm into the princess ceremony, we are just here, to uh... deliver something from a far away land,"
Raye said that as he pulled out the box that the undead king gave him. He told the guards not to open it which raised the guards suspicion. The guard grabbed the box and took a look at it, after a while, the guard returned the box to Raye and ask him a question.
"Where do you come from?"
Raye:"The kingdom of Hiden,"
"Kingdom of Hiden? Never heard that place before, who do you serve and what connection does that man have with the princess?"
"We serve the King of Hiden and he have a really close relationship with the father of the princess, My king have heard of the wedding ceremony of his friend's daughter and task us to give this box to her,"
Raye said that unfazed, as if he have already thought about this since the start, that's what you get from a disciplined noble.
"The king? The princess have cut all ties with the king, she have not met him since then,"
"As I said, my king and the princess's father are close, he must have told my king and my king tasked us to deliver this box to her,"
The guards still have their suspicion on them, but ultimately let them enter and celebrate the princess wedding ceremony.
Purrine:"Wow Raye, you pulled that off so easily,"
Raye:"I think of an excuse on the spot, I wonder, how did the hero parties that were ahead of us passed those guard, or do level repeats themselves as new people enters it?"
Will:"This shall remained as a mystery of the dungeon,"
There were a table full of food, chitchat can be hard among the crowds, all those who attended were all dressed in fancy, Raye and the party are the odd one out which draws the attention of the crowds. Al and Purrine quickly took a plate and plated food on theirs. Eating up as if they hadn't eaten good food though they just did a few hour ago. Raye and Will found a row of seat and signaled Al and Purrine to come here. They quickly sat and the princess stood at the front with a young man with a masculine body. She then took a wine glass and a small spoon and hit it against each other lightly to draw the attention of the crowds.
".....,Everyone, please give me your attention, now, let's start the wedding ceremony,"
A priest was at the front of the stage. The two couple climbed up the stage and stood opposite each other. They then walked up the stage and faced each other. The priest between them then speak.
"..., alright, do the groom wish to marry the bride and live on a happy life with her?"
"Yes I do,"
"..., do the bride wish the same too?"
"Yes I do,"
"Alright, is there any objection?"
The crowds were silent. No one has any objection. Al chugged down a glass of wine and pours himself another glass.
"No?... alright, the groom may kiss the bride,"
The groom did so and everyone cheered. They then only start eating.
Purrine:"Hey, do you think that bride is the princess that the undead king is talking about?"
Raye:"Do you think so?"
Purrine:"I mean, that bride is a princess and maybe this level have a connection with the past two?"
Raye:"I guess you are right, alright, lets go give it to her,"
Al:"Wait, I need to go to?"
Raye:"Yes Al, we are a team remember?"
Al:"..."
They went and approached the princess. Al holding a wine bottle and drank it as they walked.
Raye:"Excuse me, your highness, I have a gift from a far land given by a friend of my king,"
The princess was talking to the groom as they approached. She turned her head and listened to Raye. Will looked at the groom and noticed that he has an annoyed expression.
"Sorry, but we are busy right now, if you want to deliver any gift, you can place it on a table right over there,"
The groom interrupted them and pointed his finger to a table full of gift by the crowd.
Raye:"Sorry, but this gift is personal-"
"There is nothing personal, you are not the special one in this room, please oblige,"
Raye:"This gift is from the king of the Kingdom of Ares-"
"As I said, please leave the gift-"
Suddenly, the princess dropped onto the ground as she heard the Kingdom of Ares. She started crying, wiping her tears.
"Darling, are you alright? GUARDS, seize this man and his crew-"
"No need for that dear,"
The princess stopped the groom and stood up. She wiped off her tears and apologized to Raye.
"I apologize for my childish behavior, please, give me that gift on your hand,"
Raye did as she said and she opened it. It was two golden ring and both of them written 'ARES' over it.
she took out one of the ring and wore it. It fit into her hand perfectly. She handed the other ring to her husband and he wear it too.
"This gift.... is from the king of Kingdom of Ares?"
"YEs, your highness,"
"Father,...."
The princess then wept tears again. Raye took out a handkerchief and handed it to her. She wiped off her tears and thanked Raye and the party.
"Thank you, I mean it, my father.....when I first fell in love with my dear husband, he wouldn't agree to our marriage, I was so mad at him I decided to fled with my husband and leave him behind, I do not have any siblings so father should be pretty lonely, oh, I regretted it so much..."
The princess continue to wept tears as the groom tries to comfort her.
Raye:"Don't worry, your highness, the king of the Kingdom of Ares is now at a better place,"
"Thank you, I couldn't thank you enough, here, have these bottles of wine,"
The princess must have noticed Al chugging down a whole bottle of wine and probably requested that.
Raye:"Your highness, we can't except gift from you, we were just simply tasked to do so,"
"No, take it, and thank you,"
Raye:"..., then we will accept this gift as gratitude from your highness,"
"Please do so,"
They then have fun for a while in this level of the dungeon only to leave about 10 minutes later.
"Ah, forbidden love and message from different times,"
Purrine mentioned as they were walking to the next level.
Purrine:"Love forbade by the undead king and once he realized his mistake, it is to late, their timeline don't match anymore,"
Will:"Truly beautiful,"
Raye:"At least we at last connect them again through a pair of rings,"
Will:"Dungeon, did it create such story itself, or this is actually a true story that exist in the real world,"
