Chapter 1 - vengeance

Chapter 1 Sunlight Through the Trees

Deep in the forest, trees competed with each other for height, forcing some of the sunlight to end its journey before reaching the forest floor. On the green grass below, sunlight twinkled in scattered dots. In this huge, thick forest, there was a woman and a wolf, hunting for hares and gathering some blueberries.

"What happened to him?" the woman asked while plucking berries from one of the wild bushes.

The wolf stared at her in confusion but looked away after a moment, continuing to sniff the ground.

"I asked you a question. What happened to him?" she asked again, her voice even softer, a bright smile on her face.

"What do you mean?" the wolf's voice was cold as he raised his head.

"I know you look down upon humans, but I just want to know what happened to him for you to take care of him," she said, still plucking berries from the bush, not giving him a glance.

The forest became silent. The wolf broke it. "If I didn't talk back, would you think I was an ordinary wolf?" he questioned.

"No. And why are you dodging the question I asked you, Fang?" she said, moving to the next bush.

"Why do you say no?" Fang asked, acting confused.

"Simple. A wolf's heart is kinder than yours can ever be," she replied, standing from her knees with the basket of berries in her hand.

"So, if I said I would eat you right now, you would think I am kind?" the wolf said, shocked. He stepped closer. "Tell me, woman, will it be the kindest thing I can ever do to you?" he asked, enraged, staring into her eyes.

"I am a seven-foot-tall wolf. Do you really want to get on my nerves right now?" he growled, his feet digging into the soil.

"Try your best," she replied childishly. The wolf growled, his teeth becoming more visible with each passing second.

"I'll go hunt for the hare. You continue gathering that trash," he said, then stormed into the forest, vanishing into the trees.

Why doesn't this wolf want to tell me what happened to Alex? she thought, continuing to pick berries.

Chapter 2: Whip, Growl, and Chaos

At a small wooden house built in the east of the forest, there was a boy who looked at least seven or eight years old. He had red eyes and black hair, and he wore white garments. He sat outside, watching the beautiful sunset as he sipped warm water and petted a rabbit. Where are they? he wondered, thinking about Fang and Emily. Darkness began to swallow the land as the sun vanished.

The woman was walking in a hurry. I hope he is okay, she thought to herself. Suddenly, a pack of wolves appeared, surrounding her.

"Wolves," she said, shocked as she looked around. "Damn, I am surrounded by them."

The wolves crept slowly toward her. She stood, swerving her head to track their movement, but then she spoke in a cold, expressionless voice, "Frozen spikes."

Tall ice spikes erupted from the ground, killing all the wolves that surrounded her. Bang! A red ogre smashed her spikes with a stone-age weapon in a single hit. Shards flew everywhere as she looked at the ogre. "Sub-Zero," she said.

The ogre froze at the sound of her words. Then, a beast with white fur jumped down from the trees and landed in front of her.

"Fang, I know it's you," she said in a low voice. "Come on, let's go. Alex should be waiting."

"Now I know who you are," Fang said, his eyes shining with joy.

"You don't tell anyone, got it? Not even Alex," she said, turning to him.

"Alright, I won't tell anyone because it's useless information," the wolf said as he walked in front of her. "Are you coming?" he asked, looking back at her.

Why did he want this information if it's useless to him? the woman thought. Completely useless.

"Sigh… now I know that an animal is just an animal," she muttered aloud.

"What did you say?" Fang asked, looking back.

"You heard me," she shouted as she walked past him.

In a short time, they reached the house. It looked bright and a little strange to them. They silently approached the door. Bang! They opened it, and she jumped inside, sword in hand. The house was bright, but silence returned as soon as the door closed.

"Oh, you're back," a boy with red eyes said. "Why make so much noise?"

"Alex, are you okay?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room.

"Yes, I'm fine. When did you get a sword?" he asked, frowning. "Because you don't even know how to fight."

She looked surprised and stood straight. "Um… I found the sword in the forest," she said, walking toward the kitchen.

A new sword in the forest? Impossible… he thought. Maybe… no, she can't. Ugh, let me stop thinking.

This boy is damn not even thinking, Fang thought. She is not any ordinary human. Maybe she is a warrior… or even someone who died long ago, and she knows the boy. Either way, she's not that strong.

He went to her. "I heard you, so don't look down on me, got it?" she whispered.

Fang's eyes widened in shock. She sent him to get the axe that was outside. He went, but not willingly. The moment he was forced out, he returned to his normal size.

I really don't like shrinking just to enter this tiny house, he muttered.

"So don't enter the house then!" she shouted at the door.

How did she hear me? he thought, quickening his pace.

I thought they were going to hunt together and grow their bond… but I was wrong, Alex thought as he saw Emily shouting at Fang.

Chapter 3: Fang Under Fire

The next day came flying in, and they were eating at the table. The wolf ate while mumbling to himself, but Alex and Emily were sitting on chairs.

"Why am I the only one eating on the floor?" he wondered. "They say they're human, and I'm a dog? Uh… I am a king wolf of a goddess of destiny. I deserve better than this. Emily is just a mere human, while Alex is a demigod. Why don't we… suppress her? I'll…"

"Fang, what did I tell you?" Emily said, looking down at him. He growled at her as he ate his food.

The day passed with both of them fighting each other, but I always wondered why Fang became so free to talk to her—only when they argued. It was an improvement, since this house had mostly been quiet, Alex thought as he watched Emily chase Fang with a very long whip.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Hey, lady! Stop what you're doing! Please, just put the whip down!" Fang cried as he ran from her.

"This is what you deserve for looking down on me," she replied, continuing to try striking him with the whip.

Bang!

A piercing scream came out of Fang's mouth.

"Shh, that's gonna hurt!" Alex said, seeing Fang get hit more than once. "Okay, Emily, I think it's enough," he shouted, rushing to stop her as she brutally continued hitting him on the ground.

Chapter 4: Blood and Fire

In a dark cave we see Alex looking at the rain pounding the ground. Why didn't she tell me, why. He whispered as tiers come rolling down on his chick. Holding two huff circled necklace that seem as if they can fit each other.

Why didn't she tell me she was my sis, he continued as he looked at the two huff circles in his hands. He put them together and they merged but they was a whole in the middle of the necklace. He wore it on his nick and his memory come flooding in his mind like a ragging current.

As they come his tiers flowed even faster. ah-bang- he hit the ground of the cave. "I now know why am here. I now know," he smashed his hands in the ground. Kneeling on the ground with quieter of his hands in the soil, why did I run with fang, why did I not stay to fight with her. why why why!"

Filled with mixed emotions he was not attentive to his surrounding, a man from afar looked at him. He walked closer with a sword in his hand that was stained with blood.

Bang- Alex was lunched in the cave. Child I`m the god of strength you cant deaf it me with just you physical power.

Swish Alex appeared behind him" who said I`m using my physical strength only-bang- kicked him to the ground but he vanished. he looked around his hands, legs, and the white garment he wore were covered in blood.

"Look at your self all in seines of blood, your own blood," his voice rung everywhere- clash he come slashing down with his sword. Alex blocked with his for arms getting cut "see your defenseless," he said trying to push his bled in. "Your like a wounded dog."

Pulling his sword out of his hands and stabbing him in his chested- ah- he felt pain.

In the mountain fang was talking to a person who wore a dark clock and he could only see this persons red eyes. "Fang help us,you know that he is braking the rules that we made as gods," he said softly stretching his hand.

But Shalia-

"She was meant to die." He cut him off

"Why?"

"She broke so many rules and the biggest one she broke was bring him to the realm of gods"

"Alex," the wolf replied

"Yes. And he is also braking the rules as well and you now the punishment since it is your job to keep balance, "he continued

"So fang even though you refuse you already now you place," he said dispersing into dust. Leaving fang to think deeply with what he said.
