Rain hammered the streets of Manhattan like a warning the city refused to hear.
Sirens screamed across the island. Police barricades blocked intersections. Helicopters cut through the storm clouds above skyscrapers, their searchlights sweeping across rooftops and on the dark alleys.
The news had spread everywhere now. A masked killer was loose in Manhattan.
Authorities had urged people to stay inside, but in a city of millions, panic was impossible to contain. And somewhere in that chaos, Jason Voorhees continued walking. Inside the Midtown Police Command Center, Detective Alvarez stood in front of the whiteboard again.
But this time, there was something new pinned to it.
A photograph of Jason Voorhees from the Crystal Lake case file. Captain Morgan studied it carefully.
"You're really telling me this is the same guy?"
Alvarez nodded.
"The mask matches. The weapon matches. And the pattern of violence… it's identical."
Morgan rubbed his face tiredly.
"This file says he died decades ago." Alvarez pointed at the recent footage from Times Square.
"Then explain that."
Morgan couldn't. Because the man in the video looked exactly like the one in the file.
Same mask. Same towering build. Same silent, relentless movements. Morgan leaned back.
"Alright… let's say you're right."
He crossed his arms.
"What the hell is he doing in Manhattan?"
Alvarez glanced at the map again.
"Following someone."
Across the city, Rennie and Tyler were still hiding in the abandoned storefront near Battery Park. The storm outside had grown worse. Wind rattled the broken glass. Rainwater pooled across the floor. Tyler paced back and forth again.
"This can't keep happening," he muttered.
"We can't just sit here waiting for him to show up."
Rennie sat against the wall, her arms wrapped around her knees. Her thoughts kept drifting back to Crystal Lake. The visions. The water. Jason reaching up from the darkness. Tyler stopped pacing.
"Rennie."
She looked up.
"What?"
Tyler hesitated.
"You said he's died before."
Rennie nodded slowly.
"More than once."
Tyler blinked.
"How is that even possible?"
Rennie's voice was quiet.
"I don't know."
Then she added something that made Tyler's stomach drop.
"But I think he's connected to me."
Tyler stared at her.
"What do you mean?"
Before Rennie could answer, a car screeched to a halt outside the building. Headlights cut through the broken windows. Tyler froze.
"Did he find us?"
Rennie slowly stood up.
"Stay back."
The car door slammed outside. Footsteps approached the entrance. Tyler grabbed a broken metal pipe from the floor. The door creaked open. And a man stepped inside. He was older, maybe in his late forties, wearing a rain-soaked coat. His face looked tired, hardened by years of something darker than ordinary life. He looked at Rennie.
"You're Rennie Wickham."
Rennie's eyes widened.
"How do you know my name?"
The man stepped forward slowly.
"Because I've been looking for you."
Tyler tightened his grip on the pipe.
"Who are you?"
The man glanced at him.
"My name is Tommy."
He paused.
"Tommy Jarvis."
Back at the police command center, Captain Morgan was still arguing with city officials over the phone.
"Yes, the suspect is still active."
"No, we don't have him contained yet."
"No, I cannot shut down half of Manhattan!"
He slammed the phone down.
"This is turning into a disaster."
Detective Alvarez walked in carrying another file.
"You might want to see this."
Morgan groaned.
"Please tell me it's good news."
Alvarez placed the file on the desk.
"His name is Tommy Jarvis."
Morgan frowned.
"Who?"
"A survivor from the Crystal Lake killings."
Morgan opened the file. Photographs showed a teenage boy standing beside police officers decades ago. Then another photo years later. The same boy as an adult. Morgan looked up.
"Why does this matter?"
Alvarez answered quietly.
"Because if Jason Voorhees is real…"
He tapped the file.
"This is the only man who has ever stopped him."
Inside the abandoned storefront, Tyler stared at Tommy Jarvis.
"You're telling us you fought that thing before?"
Tommy nodded.
"More than once."
Rennie stepped closer.
"Then you know what he is."
Tommy's expression darkened.
"Yes."
Tyler shook his head.
"This is insane. He's just some psycho in a mask."
Tommy looked directly at him.
"No."
His voice was calm.
"He's worse than that."
Rennie asked the question quietly.
"Why is he here?"
Tommy's eyes moved to her.
"Because of you."
The room fell silent. Tyler looked between them.
"What does that mean?"
Tommy walked closer to Rennie.
"I read the reports about the cruise ship attack."
He lowered his voice.
"You had visions of him, didn't you?"
Rennie hesitated. Then nodded. Tommy sighed.
"That's what I was afraid of."
Tyler threw his hands up.
"Can someone please explain what's going on?!"
Tommy looked back toward the door.
"Jason doesn't just kill randomly."
He turned back to Rennie.
"He follows something."
"Fear. Trauma. Connections to the past."
Rennie whispered,
"Crystal Lake."
Tommy nodded slowly.
"And now he's here."
Outside, thunder cracked across the sky. Police sirens wailed in the distance again. Tyler ran his hand through his hair.
"So what do we do?"
Tommy's expression hardened.
"We stop him."
Tyler laughed nervously.
"You make that sound easy."
Tommy shook his head.
"It's not."
He reached into his coat and pulled out an old photograph. It showed Camp Crystal Lake many years ago. Burned buildings. Police tape. Bodies covered in sheets.
Tommy looked at the image for a long moment. Then he said quietly,
"Jason Voorhees doesn't stop."
He looked at Rennie.
"Unless someone makes him."
Far across Manhattan, Jason stood on a rooftop overlooking the city. Rain poured down around him. Below, police lights moved through the streets. Helicopters circled in the distance. But Jason wasn't looking at them. He was staring toward the southern end of the island. Toward Battery Park. Toward the place where Rennie was hiding. The storm raged around him. Lightning flashed across the skyline. Jason slowly lifted the machete. And began walking again. The hunt was far from over.
AFTERWORD
It was a really fun idea of bringing back Tommy Jarvis.....i really liked that idea and suited my story well..... Well at the moment Jason Takes Manhattan will end at 25 chapters..... But I am planning a sequel which is going to be called Jason goes to Hell..... And if that is successful as well I might even make a third part called Jason Lives I know they have similar title to the movies.... But again the stories not going to be the same so don't worry about it I will give the fans what they want.... At least I hope so.... Once again thanks to my Friend/Editor SDK..... And my other friend VRH....who was actually they the person to give me an idea of making a sequel and he knows.... More about Friday the 13th than I do... so I'm really excited to work with him
Thank you
