Chapter 1 - THE CINDERELLA BOY✨

Hello everyone!

I decided to write something different—something unusual and unique.

Inspired by Cinderella, but not a copy.

This story only borrows a shade of inspiration… the soul is entirely its own.

So, let's begin.

The City of Eldora

The city of Eldora—ruled by kings and queens. It was said that long ago, fairies once lived here.

The kingdom was ruled by King Julian, alongside his wife Queen Lorraine, and their only son, Prince Brian.

Today was a special day.

Prince Brian had turned nine years old.

Invitations had been sent across many kingdoms. That evening, a grand celebration would be held in the palace.

Prince Brian had always been celebrated lavishly.

After all, he was the only heir to one of the greatest kingdoms—nothing was ever denied to him.

Morning had long passed, yet Prince Brian was still asleep.

Queen Lorraine entered his chamber and gently called out to him. When he didn't respond, she walked closer, sat beside him, and shook him lightly.

Queen Lorraine: "Prince, wake up. The morning is already gone. You were supposed to tour the city with your father today, remember?" "Your father is waiting for you."

Brian (half-asleep): "Just a little longer, Mother…"

Queen: "No, no. You've slept enough. Wake up now."

Brian: "Alright… I'm getting up."

Queen (smiling): "Happy birthday, my Prince." ✨

Brian: "Thank you, Mother." ☺️

She hugged him tightly and kissed his forehead.

Behind her stood three or four maids, each carrying large silver trays—gifts prepared for the prince.

New clothes.

And on one tray, a brand-new crown—the one he was to wear today.

The Queen signaled the maids to place everything down and leave.

Queen: "Get ready after your bath and wear these today.

Gideon will be coming soon—he'll teach you how to greet the guests, how to speak to them properly, and how to show respect."

(Gideon was the royal tutor, responsible for court etiquette and palace affairs.)

Prince Brian nodded and headed for his bath.

Beyond the City – The Forest

About five kilometers away from Eldora lay a vast forest.

Hidden deep within it stood a beautiful home—surrounded by gardens, vegetable fields, chickens, goats, and countless animals and birds.

There lived a gentle couple: Edward Hale and his wife Isabella.

Edward had lost his parents long ago.

Isabella had been abandoned at an orphanage the day she was born.

The head of that orphanage had arranged their marriage.

They had been married for three years now—happy in every way.

Except one.

They had no child.

This absence silently haunted them.

One afternoon, Isabella sat alone in the courtyard. Her eyes rested on a goat feeding her newborn kid, licking it lovingly.

Her eyes filled with emotion.

Edward noticed and walked over.

Edward:

"Isabella… what's wrong? Why do you look so sad?"

Isabella:

"It's nothing… really."

Edward (softly):

"I know. You wish you could love a child the same way. Hold one. Care for one."

"But Isabella… even if we don't have a child of our own—aren't all of them our children?"

"Please don't be sad."

"I'm going to the city now. I'll return by evening. Take care."

"I've already told Elena and Clara to cook your favorite meal today."

(Elena and Clara were their helpers.)

Isabella (smiling faintly):

"Be careful. Come back soon. I'll wait for dinner."

Edward kissed her forehead, climbed onto the carriage, and nodded to Edgar, the driver.

Isabella stood there, watching until the carriage disappeared from sight.

Elena:

"Madam, would you like breakfast or lunch?"

Isabella (laughing):

"How many times must I tell you? Call me by my name."

"You and Clara are family, not servants."

Both women smiled, deeply moved.

(Edward and Isabella were kind beyond measure. They never treated Elena or Clara as servants—only as family.)

Back at the Palace

Gideon was teaching Prince Brian the royal ways—

how to accept greetings,

how to bow,

how to speak with dignity.

But Brian's face said it all.

He hated it.

Brian:

"Gideon… all of this feels strange to me."

Gideon:

"It may, but a prince must learn these things."

"Today, everyone will come to meet you. You must be ready."

Brian (sighing):

"Alright…"

The Forest – Once Again

Edward and Edgar stopped midway through the forest.

Edward needed to collect something rare from within—a miraculous flower, known to cure any illness.

Edgar:

"Should I come with you, sir?"

Edward:

"No. Wait here. I'll be back soon."

Edgar:

"I promised Madam I'd protect you."

Edward (smiling):

"Don't worry. I've been there many times. It's safe."

Edward walked deeper into the forest.

Soon, he reached an ancient tree and sat beside it.

Suddenly, a tiny bird fell from above. It was newborn—too young to fly.

A frantic mother bird circled above, chirping desperately.

Edward gently picked up the chick and placed it back in the nest.

The mother bird calmed instantly.

The sight pierced his heart.

If only I had a child…

Isabella looked so broken this morning.

He stood and moved forward to pluck the flower—

When suddenly—

A golden light spread across the forest.

Fireflies filled the air.

Slowly, a figure appeared.

A breathtaking fairy—

with golden wings,

shimmering hair,

a glowing crown,

and a magical wand in her hand.

To be continued…
