Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Before the Test

He had passed the second level of the Martial Artist Trial Tower, but on the third level, facing nine Apprentice Level Nine beast-type Demon Beasts, he only killed one before being surrounded and killed.

"My close-combat skills are too weak. My power amplification is only 1. It takes at least several strikes to kill one Demon Beast, sometimes even more than ten."

Ender shook his head, "My movement technique is also very ordinary. Without Spiritual Force assistance, I would quickly be forced into a desperate situation against nine Apprentice Level Nine Demon Beasts."

His foundation in close-combat was weak, but fortunately, his Spiritual Master foundation was quite good. He had already completed the third stage of the Controller's Basic Twenty-Eight Forms.

"I need to ask Third Uncle for guidance on movement techniques."

Having made up his mind, Ender left the Virtual Universe and went to ask his Third Uncle, Ivan, for guidance on movement techniques.

"It's a good thing you didn't just Cultivate haphazardly by yourself, otherwise, correcting mistakes would take a long time."

Seeing Ender ask him for advice, Ivan felt much more at ease. He was afraid that Ender would Cultivate blindly without understanding or asking, leading to problems.

Ivan said, "Martial Artists need to fight in close combat, so their movement techniques should focus on leveraging power, using all available forces from the environment and enemies, and minimizing movement to evade enemy attacks."

"Spiritual Masters are different. Since Spiritual Masters can attack enemies from a distance, their movement techniques should focus on speed and explosiveness, avoiding close proximity with enemies as much as possible."

Ivan first explained the differences in movement techniques between Martial Artists and Spiritual Masters, then meticulously taught the details of movement techniques... Nine days later.

Virtual Universe Morning Light Academy Trial Tower.

On the grassland, there were six beast-type Demon Beasts, about seven or eight meters long, constantly leaping and pouncing, as if playing.

In the sky, three bird-type Demon Beasts were circling, occasionally one would dive towards the six beast-type Demon Beasts, only to return with empty talons.

Among the six beast-type Demon Beasts, Ender moved between them, narrowly dodging every attack.

Sometimes, a Demon Beast's sharp claws would strike, seemingly about to hit, but then it would be bumped by another Demon Beast, helplessly pouncing at nothing.

Dodging the Demon Beasts' attacks, Ender occasionally used the shield in his hand to lightly block, leveraging the force to evade another Demon Beast's attack.

Suddenly, all the Demon Beasts vanished, and a light screen appeared out of nowhere.

"Time limit reached! Trial Tower third level failed!"

Ender stretched and was unconcerned about the failure; he wasn't there to clear the Trial Tower anyway.

"Very good, this time I was only hit once while attempting the Martial Artist Trial Tower's third level."

He was very satisfied with this result; his movement technique had also entered the subtle level.

"Unfortunately, my power amplification is only 1, so it's impossible to pass the Martial Artist Trial Tower's fourth level."

On the third level of the Martial Artist Trial Tower, with his movement technique, he could wear down all the Demon Beasts until they died.

But on the fourth level, facing twenty Demon Beasts, he would have no chance. The number of Demon Beasts was too great; he could at most last twenty seconds, and after twenty seconds, he would quickly be overwhelmed by the Demon Beasts.

"Tomorrow begins the three-day entrance test for Morning Light Academy. As Third Uncle said before, the Morning Light Academy entrance test is divided into an amplification test and a combat resume."

"Some with high amplification and good resumes will be specially approved by the examiners to directly enter Morning Light Academy. If they are not specially approved to enter Morning Light Academy."

"Then they will have to take the Trial Tower assessment and enter Morning Light Academy based on their ranking in the Trial Tower assessment."

After reviewing the Morning Light Academy entrance test process, Ender set a small goal for himself: "Strive to enter Morning Light Academy through special approval based on amplification and resume."

...Early morning on the third day.

Ivan took Ender to Morning Light Academy.

At the base of five towering buildings, like pillars reaching the sky, the four entrances to Morning Light Academy were packed with people. Hundreds of individuals squeezed at the entrances, waiting in line.

Compared to the first day, fewer people came to participate in the test today.

However, many still brought their children, hoping that their children possessed astonishing talent and could enter Morning Light Academy to become strong individuals in the future.

As a Stellar Rank strong individual, Ivan naturally had some privileges. He could bring people through a special passage, without needing to queue with the others outside.

The hovercar they were in entered Morning Light Academy and stopped in an area with many other hovercars.

Getting out of the car and taking a high-speed elevator, Ivan expertly led Ender to the testing grounds.

The testing grounds were on the first floor of the North Building among the five tall buildings. The entrance led to a waiting area as large as a football field.

This waiting area was furnished with many tables and chairs, but only twenty to thirty people were sparsely seated inside, making it very spacious.

Seeing someone arrive, many people in the waiting area looked over, most of whom were seventeen or eighteen-year-old youths.

A seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl asked, "Do you guys know this newcomer?"

One person shook his head, "No, I don't."

Another person also shook his head, "I don't know him either."

Seeing that their companions didn't recognize him, the three felt strange. Could he be an outsider?

They were from a Stellar Rank Family in Morning Light City and had grown up in the circles of Morning Light City's Stellar Rank Families, rarely encountering someone they didn't know.

"The one who brought that little fellow is the third son of the Royce Family, Ivan Royce."

A middle-aged man's voice sounded in the ears of the three.

Hearing this voice, the three immediately stood up and respectfully bowed in the direction of the voice, calling out in unison, "Ancestor."

"Sit."

The middle-aged man nodded with a smile, pulled over a chair, and sat down.

Seeing the middle-aged man sit down, the three then took their seats, appearing to listen attentively.

They were brought here personally by their Ancestor, so they naturally understood his quirks, knowing that he enjoyed chatting about interesting things and watching the excitement.

Indeed, they heard their Ancestor speak, "Heh, you also know the Royce Family."

"Although it was established for a short time and has few members, it has produced several Geniuses, the most famous of whom is Ron Royce."

The three nodded in unison. The legendary Ron Royce, they had certainly heard that name, a legendary figure of Kuka Planet.

The middle-aged man continued, "This Royce Family is quite special; the Family members' talents are all pretty good, and almost all of them have entered Morning Light Academy."

"Ha! Is this Royce Family that formidable?"

The three were surprised in their hearts; their Family couldn't achieve such a degree.

The middle-aged man's eyes narrowed slightly, "And that little fellow you saw, he has a considerable reputation on the grassland. It is said that he single-handedly killed a Planetary Level Demon Beast during this beast tide."

"Apprentice-level killing a Planetary Level Demon Beast!" The three were shocked in their hearts, "This is too abnormal!"

If it weren't for their Ancestor saying it, they would have spoken out to refute it. How could an Apprentice-level kill a Planetary Level Demon Beast?

But they knew their Ancestor's character; he liked to watch the excitement but wouldn't make groundless claims. The rumors he spoke had ninety percent credibility!

The middle-aged man admonished, "So don't be too arrogant. Don't look down on people from the grassland, after all, your Ancestor also came from the grassland."

The three listened respectfully to the lecture, "Yes, Ancestor."

"Ender Royce, Derrick's son, there's probably some excitement to watch today..."

After lecturing his three juniors, the middle-aged man turned his head to look in Ender's direction. A hunch told him that something interesting might happen today.
