Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: During the Test

Ender and Ivan's arrival drew the attention of many, some of whom looked at them with hostility.

As time passed, more people came to participate in the entrance test. Including those who had finished the test but had not left, there were already forty to fifty people in the waiting area.

"Why haven't they left?"

Ender felt curious, looking at those who remained in the waiting area after completing their tests.

Ivan, beside him, had a cold expression. He sensed something unusual, as too many people were looking over while talking.

He looked at the powerful individual of the same level who was enjoying the spectacle, and understood, "This time, the chief examiner should be someone from the Holke Family."

The examiners for each Morning Light Academy entrance test were different, and these examiners would not know their identity beforehand. They would only receive notification of their role as examiners on the day the entrance test began.

The examiners for the entrance test were directly appointed by the Morning Light Academy Dean. In terms of status, the Morning Light Academy Dean was even higher than the Morning Light City Lord.

However, the former was only responsible for managing the affairs of Morning Light Academy, and in terms of power within Morning Light City, he could not compare to the latter.

Ivan was full of confidence in Ender. "It seems this entrance test will be difficult, but with Eleven's talent and ability, passing the test won't be a problem."

Just as it was about to be Ender's turn to enter for the test, Ivan called out, "Eleven."

Ender looked up, "Third Uncle, is something wrong?"

Ivan said with a serious expression, "No matter how others try to provoke you with words, you must remain calm during the test."

Ender's expression froze for a moment, then he nodded, "Understood."

Not long after he finished speaking, Ender's communicator on his wrist rang. A message was sent to his communicator, notifying him that it was his turn for the test.

"Third Uncle, I'm going."

Ender stood up, said something to Ivan, and then walked towards the test room... the Chief Examiner's office.

Ian sat bored in his chair, his hand occasionally swiping across the light screen in front of him.

Having been on this planet for nearly two years, he felt like he was about to waste away!

As a Cultivation planet of the Molten Rock Empire, Kuka Planet, apart from the captive Demon Beasts, had no external enemies, no Universe adventurers, and not even life-and-death struggles between people!

This made him feel as if he was living in a fictional world, but a hundred years of Universe travel told him that this was also part of the cruel Universe.

Looking at the resumes of one candidate after another, he only felt bored. "They're all more ordinary than the last."

"Hmm?"

Ian's finger, which was about to swipe, stopped. The candidate's profile caught his attention.

"Apprentice-level killing a Planet Level Demon Beast? A bit interesting."

Closing the light screen, he stood up and stretched, "It's a good time to go for a walk."

With that, he disregarded his colleague's gaze and left the Chief Examiner's office.

Inside the test room, a young female examiner was making notes. Ian entered the test room through a side door.

Upon seeing Ian's arrival, the female examiner, who was making notes, quickly stood up. She was about to speak but was stopped.

Ian first raised his hand slightly, stopping the female examiner who was about to speak, and then said, "I'll handle this test. You can go rest for a bit."

Hearing her superior say this, the female examiner naturally could not refuse. She obediently put down her work and left the test room through the side door.

After the female examiner left the test room, Ian went to where she had been standing, continuing her unfinished work, as if he had been the examiner all along.

About half a minute later, Ian pressed a button beside him.

"Click!"

With a soft sound, the main door of the test room opened, and Ender walked in.

"Ender Royce, right?"

As soon as he entered the test room, Ender heard a question.

He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a young man with a smile on his face sitting on one side of the room. In front of him was a light screen with various texts and images, and Ender understood that he was the examiner.

Seeing that it was the examiner who asked, Ender replied, "I am Ender Royce."

"My name is Ian, and I am your examiner for this test," Ian said. "Are you ready for the test now?"

"I'm ready," Ender replied.

"Good. Now, go sit on the chair over there and connect the consciousness sensor."

Ian pointed to Ender's left. There was a chair recessed into the wall, with consciousness sensors installed on both sides of the chair.

Following the arrangement of examiner Ian, Ender sat on the chair and connected the consciousness sensor.

Whoosh!

Ender's figure appeared in the test room. Examiner Ian, on one side of the room, was still standing there, with the light screen still in front of him.

"Am I in the Virtual Universe?"

Seeing this, Ender quickly turned his head to look at the left side of the main door. The wall there was intact, with no chair.

"Don't be nervous, you are currently in the Virtual Universe," Ian's voice came. "The test is starting. Now, follow my instructions."

Hearing this, Ender nodded, "Okay."

"The data shows you are a Controller. You can now choose a Spirit Weapon you like."

As examiner Ian's words fell, more than a dozen common Spirit Weapons appeared out of thin air in front of Ender, including blades and bone spikes.

Ender thought for a moment. He chose the bone spike, which he had used for the longest time. As he selected the bone spike, the other Spirit Weapons disappeared into thin air.

"Now, control the Spirit Weapon to attack the circular target in front with full force."

Looking forward, Ender saw a circular target appear in front of the wall. He then followed examiner Ian's instructions and fully controlled the bone spike to attack the target.

Whoosh!

In the blink of an eye, the bone spike struck the circular target, but then both the bone spike and the target disappeared simultaneously.

"Hmm."

Seeing the bone spike and target disappear, Ian nodded slightly, "Maintain this intensity of attack for the subsequent ones. Now, state the number of Spirit Weapons, and you will receive the corresponding number of Spirit Weapons."

Hearing this, Ender understood that this was a test of Spiritual amplitude. He decided to test the waters first. "Eight bone spikes."

As his words fell, eight bone spikes appeared out of thin air in front of Ender. At the same time, eight circular targets appeared in front of the wall.

"Go!"

Ender let out a low shout, and eight bone spikes flew out, hitting the eight circular targets respectively. These eight circular targets, along with the bone spikes, all disappeared without a trace.

"Based on the eight bone spikes just now, you can state a number to get more bone spikes. It's still one bone spike attacking one target."

Ian's voice came again.

Ender thought for a moment and then stated a number, "Eight."

Sixteen. This was the number of bone spikes he usually used, and also the number he used when Cultivating the Controller's Basic Twenty-Eight Forms.

As his words fell, sixteen bone spikes appeared in front of him.

Sixteen bone spikes attacked the sixteen circular targets in front, and again, both the bone spikes and the circular targets disappeared simultaneously.

"Based on the sixteen bone spikes, state a number to get more bone spikes, then attack the targets in front."

Ian looked at the light screen and spoke again.

This time, Ender didn't think much and directly stated a number, "Eight."

"Hmm!"

Upon hearing this number, Ian immediately averted his gaze from the light screen and turned it towards Ender.

Ender controlled the twenty-four bone spikes that had appeared out of thin air, attacking the circular targets in front...
