Ethan Shaw was instantly on high alert. His brother had been very clear: he was to strictly vet all of Laura Lowell's scripts, and they absolutely could not contain any kissing scenes, bed scenes, or overly intimate moments.
"Laura, what role did you take? How come I know nothing about it?"
Laura Lowell handed Ethan Shaw the script from her desk. "It's this one. Jolene was probably too busy and forgot to tell you."
"I see. Let me take a look."
Ethan Shaw took the script, sat on the sofa, and began to read it intently. The more he read, the more his guilt grew, and the more his confidence sank.
'Is my brother going to uphold justice by killing his own family? Is he going to wring my neck?'
While the script didn't have any overly explicit scenes, things like light kisses and princess carries were all over the place.
Ethan Shaw looked at Laura Lowell and asked, both earnestly and timidly, "Laura, is there any way you could not take this role?"
"Why?"
