Aiden Shaw pressed the button, and the elevator continued upward.
"But that still doesn't explain so many patients, does it?"
"Then there were a few rich kids with a death wish, street racing and causing a pile-up. Don't they have anything better to do? As if we doctors aren't busy enough."
"What's the situation in the ORs right now?"
"It's so busy, everyone wishes they had four hands."
The elevator doors opened, and Aiden Shaw headed straight for the operating rooms, with Dr. Ward close behind.
Hannah Hale had just come out of an operating room, wearily pulling off her disposable mask. "Dr. Shaw, they just wheeled in a patient from the car crash with a cerebral hemorrhage, and he also has a displaced sternal fracture. I'm afraid I can't complete the surgery alone."
"I'll join you. Go get prepped. I'm going to change."
With that, Aiden Shaw went directly into the sterile room.
