Jared Woods looked up in disbelief, his gaze full of hurt as he stared at Chelsea Raines. "Mommy... I don't want to! You promised I could have anything I wanted!"
Chelsea Raines was seething with frustration. Her only rational thought was to protect her image. "I never said that. You're just being too spoiled."
All eyes were on her, sharp as needles. Chelsea Raines felt increasingly humiliated, wishing she could dig a hole and crawl into it to escape the awful situation. "Hurry up, Jared, apologize!"
