Since she didn't have to fight for breakfast, Naomi Kenway didn't get up at the crack of dawn this time, allowing herself a rare chance to sleep in.
The hour hand pointed to eight when Naomi Kenway opened her eyes. To her surprise, Ian Shaw was already awake, quietly watching her with his big, beautiful eyes.
When he saw that Naomi was awake, he gave her a sweet smile. His voice was soft and a little drowsy. "Mama, good morning~"
"Did you sleep well last night?" Naomi couldn't resist pinching his cheek. It felt so soft and smooth.
"Yes." Ian Shaw recalled seriously, "I had a dream."
Naomi's interest was piqued. "What kind of dream?"
"I dreamed about a giant beetle! It was my best friend, and we went on an adventure in the jungle together!"
'The world of a child is always so weird and wonderful.' Naomi laughed. "Is that so? That sounds pretty great. Congratulations on your new beetle friend."
