Synopsis
Three hundred years ago, the ocean vanished. In its place, the world got a Hole. Raku is just trying to nap through another boring “Lost Ocean” lecture when his best friend Osio drags him out of class to go look at the Hole’s outer edge. A corrupt cop plants drugs on Osio. Raku sees it, snaps, and lands a punch that should’ve only broken his own hand. Instead, it nearly breaks the cop’s jaw—and their lives. Hours later, Raku wakes up in a secret facility, tagged as an “anomaly” and thrown into brutal tests with monsters that don’t obey normal physics. The last thing he remembers is a collapsing lab, a roaring void, and falling into the place everyone’s been warned about since childhood. The Hole isn’t empty. There are glowing forests, sky-rivers, underground towns, and wells of strange liquid called druppel that grant impossible powers based on who you are inside. There are hunters, cults, and something inhuman crawling up from the deeper layers. Above them, a broken drone is quietly streaming everything Raku and Osio do to the surface as “just a really good show”. Viewers think it’s CGI. Conspiracy nuts start to notice the glitches. Governments look the other way. Stuck between a world that doesn’t believe they’re real and a Hole that keeps trying to eat them, Raku and Osio have to stay alive in a place that acts like a game that keeps glitching, figure out why the Hole keeps breaking around Raku, and decide whether to climb back up… or go deeper and break the thing that broke the ocean. Lost Ocean is a character-driven, slightly unhinged progression story with dumb jokes in very bad situations, underground ecosystems, powers born from personality, and a main character who might be more important to the Hole than he ever wanted.
