"Your friends?" Rumi asked.
"Yeah," I responded. "They know about my patterns and about you."
"So we can just go up like this?" she asked.
"Yep," I told her, heading for the door. She followed behind me. Heading up, I was met by three demons and two humans. I felt Rumi go stiff behind me. "Hey guys, my sister came by."
Ru, the most excited to meet Rumi, ran over and held her hands, smiling.
"Hi! I'm Ru! Akuma talks about you a bunch! It's great to finally meet you!" Ru said, almost vibrating from joy. Rumi was surprised. The tallest of us was a demon woman in platforms.
"Hey, I'm Chi Tai. Ru, there is my younger sister." A demon stood beside her. "This is Natsue, my boyfriend."
"Hi," he gave Rumi a wave, holding Chi Tai by the waist despite the height difference. Then a set of girls, one demon, one human, greeted my sister.
"I'm Li, this is Chimi, my partner," the human girl with a scar on her face where one eye would have been, referring to the demon beside her.
"They're my friends, Rumi," I told her, standing with the group. Rumi looked shellshocked. I let out a laugh, seeing her face. After that, we got some takeout, and got to taking. Rumi was very much engrossed in the conversation. The girls were on about her skincare routine and everything about her clothes, interests, and everything. Then I brought up how I have to force her to take a break from work instead of acting as a workaholic. She got upset with me, and soon enough, it got late. We put the leftovers in the fridge, and I set Rumi up on the couch with blankets and pillows while the rest of us went to our rooms for bed.
