[God Realms]
Mountains crumbled, rivers boiled and evaporated as the very earth was cracked open leaking hot magma onto the surface.
Everything was in utter chaos all around the world because of two figures who stood floating just above the devastation.
"You know we cannot allow that child to be born... Just stand aside Arachne! Don't you consider all mortals to be your children? Would you really sacrifice them all just for this one?" The man bathed in golden light spoke out in a righteous tone as he started at the woman with spider like features before him.
Smiling as she prepared another attack the woman, Arachne, responded.
"I am a goddess of fertility.. of course id treat them as my own... But how can they compare to my own flesh and blood? After trying for so long do you and the others think I'd just let you storm into my nest and snatch the egg I've been waiting so long for?"
Quickly moving his energy to defend himself the man frowned.
"Others? So you know about our plan then?"
A wicked grin spread across Arachnes lips as she retreated to a safe distance.
"You lot should already know about my other divinities... So it's only a matter of course that id know~" She said in a playful manner.
"I've already prepared beforehand.. my child is no longer in this realm. I've long sent the egg into the mortal realms. My little darling should be hatching any moment now~"
"You wouldn't... Without the heavenly energy to nourish and help form it's body the risk of deformities is too strong." The man crossed his arms as he sent a pericing glare over.
"Fufu~ This is true, but I have a feeling that child will be fine, but I believe you should be more worried about yourself no?" Arachne responded with even wider grin as the golden glow around the man had begun to weaken.
"I have never met a being able to survive my poison.. I wonder if the God of light and healing can manage to overcome it?"

[Mortal Realm - Lower Dominion]
In a forest far from the prying eyes of civilization a giant spider stood guard over her nest that resided inside of a dark well hidden cave.
Inside she sat waiting for only one thing. While other of her kind would be able to lay thousands if not millions of eggs she sat above her nest guarding a single small egg.
"This way! The beast i saw should be just ahead!"
Suddenly interrupting her peaceful slumber a voice cut through the forest followed by the sound of blades hacking back vines and broken tree limbs.
Quickly stirring to it's feet the gaint arachnid crawled up the cave walls to lay in wait for the intruders, she had seen this happen again and again. For some odd reason these humans were insistent on causing her trouble.
Every few days they would show up and try to hunt her down, however she didn't mind much as the more came the more food she would have for when her little darling finally hatched.
"The Beast Should be just inside, Make sure to be prepared for an ambush or any traps. My scout team says that it the beast is an arachnid type and that it's guarding a nest. Best case scenario we draw it out from the cave before attacking." The man's voice called out again as the sound of footsteps drew closer.
Tensing up in preparation the spider slowly inched closer to the mouth of the cave preparing to pick off the weakest member of there group first before retreating back inside.
'The humans never follow too deep into the caves so this should be no different' she thought as the first figure crossed the threshold.
A valent looking man steped forwards silver armor glinting in the dim light of the cave. Showing no fear the man strode further inside with deep crimson eyes that cut through the darkness.
'Ive been spotted!' Alarm flashed through the spiders mind as she quickly lunged backwards narrowly avoiding a the sudden flash of a sword.
"And to think the one causing so much trouble was just a [Venom Weaver]" A low sigh escaped the man's lips as his gaze bored into the creature before him.
"It seems we over prepared.. well no matter it's young should make a decent gift for that girl my son was chasing.." As the man's words fell his blade lashed out once more easily cleaving the mother spider in two.
Turning around to leave the man spoke to the others still outside the cave mouth.
"Enter.. The creature has been dealt with. Harvest anything useful and bring the beasts egg back with us"
Not one dared disobey the man's words and all twenty armored soldiers strode forward searching the cave for anything valuable while a few attended to the corpse and the single egg bundled neatly in silk.
Stood guard outside the man waited for the work to be done, however just as everything was finishing up one of his men quickly ran forward holding something wrapped in silk.
"Sir, the only thing of use inside was this single beast egg.. nothing else was found"
The soldier reported a bit awkwardly as it was already clear from the start that his lord knew about the creatures young, but it was odd that nothing else of value could be found inside.
Beasts would usally horde many useful herbs and treasures around there nests in order to help there children in the early stages of development, so finding nothing but the single egg was a bit odd but nothing worth fussing over.
"Then this expedition can be considered a failure... I expected at least a rank 3 maybe rank 4 beast with all the trouble we've been having with it." Lord Fu sighed before shaking his head.
"Well whatever at least my son will have a gift to give when he goes to ask for that girls hand.."
Hearing his lords words the soldiers face paled before he quickly spoke up.
"My lord, I know that our family has some bad blood with the Si clan but isn't this too much? Using a common beast egg as a bride price would anger them no?"
Lord Fu sneered as he glared down his soldier.
"They should be lucky to even receive that from me! If it was not for that girls talent, and that my son is so obsessed with her I wouldn't have even proposed marriage!" With that Lord Fu and his soldiers quickly prepared to leave and march back to the City
[The Next Day: Phoenix Fall City]
In the Fu family estate everyone was in a frenzy with preparations. The woman wore their best gowns and spent the most effort on their makeup and hairstyles, meanwhile the men chose to be more relaxed and were simply waiting for them before the manor.
"Father, Have you prepared the gift I asked you about? Lady Si deserves only the best beast we can find after all!" A handsome youth spoke with excitement radiating from his gaze he could not wait to attend the coming of age ceremony hosted by the Si family.
The Fu and Si families were the top powers in this continent if you ignored the empire and royal family that governed over these lands.
Each family held the significant influence in said empire, the Fu family was known for beast taming and being the best at anything related to it. On the other hand the Si family was known for their combat prowess.
It was said that a single beast from the Fu family could rival six from another and still come out ontop with bearlyand injury, while a single expert from the Si family was enough to wipe out most if not all other clans and families under the empire, even the royal family was somewhat afraid of them.
Lord Fu sighed and looked down at his son in a doting manner.
"Of course father had prepared everything there is no way that girls will choose anyone but you my son you have nothing to fear"
The young master sighed in relief and looked up just in time to spot the women of the manner walking over.
"Mother sister ready to go?"
"We would have been ready much sooner if your sister did not insist on redoing her makeup 275 times... What about you and your father? Fu Huijin I know you like that girl but you also must remember not to embarrass our family you are your father's only heir after all" Miss Fu said with hidden meaning but her little hints seemed to go over her love stricken sons head.
"Of course mother.. I have everything prepared and I am ready for the ceremony. I am confident in being chosen"
