Natan looked at Nick Fury and noticed that the other person's face had some bruises.
Natan used his time eye to peek into the past and discovered what had happened to Nick Fury.
Nick Fury had discovered the existence of Hydra within SHIELD and started investigating, but unfortunately, he was attacked and barely managed to escape.
Surely, some things are destined to happen, Natan thought.
Closing the time eye, Natan spoke in a tone of helplessness:
"I know what happened. Why didn't you go to Steve Rogers?"
According to the timeline, Nick should have gone to the captain to warn him.
But it seems there was a deviation here?
Nick said nothing, took a few steps forward, pulled something from his arms, and placed it in front of Natan.
It was a comic book titled: Captain Hydra.
"You must already know about the prophet Su. He gave me this and said it would be released next month," Nick Fury said.
Natan took a good look at the comic in front of him, picked it up in his hands, flipped through a few pages, and said:
"You really are a man who distrusts everything."
He paused before continuing:
"But you don't need to worry about this. Steve Rogers is not the same as the one in this comic."
Nick Fury raised his eyebrows and asked in doubt:
"Are you so sure about that?"
"Of course. To explain it in a way you can understand, this is what happens in another parallel universe," Natan said and tossed the comic aside before continuing.
"Besides, this comic is incomplete, and it's almost as if someone wanted you to misunderstand something."
Natan looked at the content and saw that some important pages were missing, which led to such a misunderstanding.
It seems this Su Chen is not a good person, Natan thought.
Nick Fury picked up on the key points in Natan's words and decided to store them in his mind for later.
Now he had more important things to deal with.
"Your words contain a lot of information and deep meanings, but I don't have time to think about that."
Nick Fury pulled a flash drive from his pocket, placed it on the counter, and pushed it toward Natan, explaining:
"This contains important information. Can you keep it safe until I send someone trustworthy to pick it up?"
Natan looked at the silver flash drive on the counter and didn't move for a long time.
He turned his attention back to Nick Fury and asked:
"Why me?"
Although he already knew the answer to this question, he wanted to hear the explanation from the other side.
"There's no safer place than this. Besides, we have an old friendship," Nick said with a serious face.
Raising his eyebrows, Natan asked another question:
"Then why don't you ask me to help solve this problem?"
With his strength, it would be very simple to resolve all of this.
But Nick Fury shook his head and said:
"Your existence is unknown. I'd rather keep you as a trump card for the future."
Once, Nick had asked Su Chen about the paradox: the man in front of him, but the other side didn't even know of his existence.
That had surprised Nick Fury.
This also showed that Natan was much more complicated than he seemed.
Even Carol Danvers didn't know that Natan hid his true strength; if it weren't for Natan helping humanity in times of crisis, Nick Fury wouldn't have trusted him so much.
"Since you think that way, I'll keep it safe until the people you trust show up," Natan said, picking up the flash drive from the counter.
"Thank you."
Saying this, Nick Fury turned and left.
When Nick Fury disappeared into the distance, Natan stood up, locked the shop, and went to his home.
His home was on the second floor above the comic book store, making everything more convenient for him.
After entering his house, he went to the bathroom to wash up and then planned to spend the night playing video games to pass the time.
...!
On the other side, hours after the meeting between Nick Fury and Natan, Steve Rogers had just returned home and exchanged a few words with his beautiful neighbor.
But as he was about to enter his house, he noticed something was wrong.
Pressing his ear to the door, he heard the sound of a radio coming from inside his house; he didn't remember leaving the radio on.
All these signs served as a warning to him: someone had entered his house without permission.
Whether friend or foe, he still had to find out.
A plan formed in his mind, and Steve Rogers used the fire escape to enter his house without alerting the intruder.
He opened the window without making a sound and slipped inside silently.
On guard, he walked toward where the radio sound was coming from.
He moved slowly, making no noise, while staying alert for a sudden ambush.
As he approached, he saw a silhouette sitting in his armchair in the dark.
But Steve had sharp eyes and recognized that it was Nick Fury.
His expression relaxed, and he revealed his position to the other person, saying:
"I don't remember giving you the key to my house."
Nick Fury adjusted his posture when he realized Steve Rogers had arrived and said:
"Do you really think I need one?"
His tone was serious, and after a brief pause, he continued:
"My wife kicked me out!"
Steve Rogers looked confused before saying:
"I didn't know you were married!"
"There's a lot... you don't know about me," Nick Fury replied.
"That's the problem, Nick."
Steve Rogers complained and flipped the light switch.
When the light came on, he saw Nick Fury's condition, and his expression changed.
