Boruto was running through some woods. He was badly bruised and had numerous wounds. At one point, he noticed a trail of blood and glasses.
"Please, don't let those be the glasses I'm thinking of."
The Hokage's son continued running, suddenly strange white creatures began to emerge from the ground.
"Get out of my way," Boruto killed them one by one, slicing them with his sword.
He soon noticed a woman's body lying limp on the ground, with three rods embedded in her back.
"Don't let that be the person I'm thinking of."
As the teenager approached, he noticed the familiar Uchiha clan symbol on her back.
"SARADA!" The blond man immediately pulled the rods from Sarada's body and flipped her onto her back. "FUCK!" he screamed, slamming his fist into the ground.
At that moment, it began to rain, and tears began to fall from Boruto's eyes. Boruto stood over his friend's body for a good dozen minutes. "Why, why did it all have to end like this? Weren't you supposed to be Hokage? No, I didn't keep my promise; I couldn't protect you. Forgive me."
At that moment, Boruto woke up, sweating heavily, panting.
"It was just a bad dream... No, it was a memory."
"What time is it?"
Boruto was surprised to hear a familiar voice. When he turned around, he saw Akeno lying next to him, completely naked.
"What the hell are you doing in my house, or a better question would be what are you doing in my bed?"
"Azazel told me to keep an eye on you, so Xenovia and I volunteered. When we arrived, you were already asleep, and seeing you so restless, I thought you could use some company."
Boruto looked away, his cheeks red. "I appreciate it, but you didn't have to do that. You should be doing it with the guy you love"
"What if that's what I'm doing?" Akeno replied, making Boruto blink a few times. "I'm kidding, I'll go make breakfast. Xenovia, come help me."
The girls left the room, leaving the confused blond alone. After eating breakfast, the three of them went to school. Before classes started, Azazel called Boruto to a meeting at the ORC club.
"Why did you want to meet me now?"
"You know, I found a great place where you could get special training. It's a special dimension where mostly demons and fallen angels can train. I think since you're an Otsutsuki, you should be able to handle it."
"Really, when are you going to take me there?" For the first time in a long time, Boruto was excited.
"On Friday after school, you'll be able to train there every weekend so it doesn't interfere with school."
"I see, then I have to go to class."
"Wait, you probably heard that there's a meeting of all the factions at school today to end the conflict?"
"Yeah, I heard something about it."
"I have a bad feeling, I think something's going to happen. That's why I have a task for you." Azazel explained his mission to Boruto.
