Izuku stepped across the fractured rooftop, each step slow and heavy—echoing louder in his chest than on the rubble beneath him.
Bakugou watched from behind with a scoff, arms crossed, but didn't say a word.
Even he knew this wasn't a moment to interrupt.
Mellisia and Toru stood at the edge of the ruined structure, side by side but worlds apart in expression.
Mellisia's fists were clenched at her sides, knuckles white, determination simmering behind her eyes.
Toru—though invisible—was trembling slightly, her gloves giving away every tiny anxious twitch.
Izuku stopped in front of them.
His throat tightened.
The night was quiet. Too quiet.
He swallowed.
"…I'm sorry I made you both wait."
Toru's voice was soft and shaky.
"It's okay… we just… needed to know where we stand."
Mellisia nodded, trying to look confident, but her eyes flickered with a fear she never showed in a fight.
"Izuku… whatever your answer is… I'll accept it. But I had to say how I felt."
Izuku breathed out slowly.
He had fought monsters.
He had survived villains who tore cities apart.
He had faced death more than once.
But this—
This was somehow harder.
He looked at them. Really looked.
Mellisia—brilliant, brave, someone who saw him.
Toru—warm, honest, someone who loved him before he even believed he deserved it.
Two girls who risked everything, including their hearts, for him.
Izuku closed his eyes.
Nana's voice echoed faintly in his memory, teasing yet gentle:
"Sometimes… blessings come in pairs, kid."
He opened his eyes again—clear. Steady.
"I… I can't choose between you."
They froze.
"I tried. I really tried. But every time I imagine losing even one of you, it hurts. I don't want to break either of you. I don't want to lose either of you."
He stepped forward, placing a hand on Mellisia's shoulder—
then gently taking Toru's gloved hand.
"You're both important to me. More than I can explain."
His voice trembled, but the words didn't.
"If… if you're both okay with it… then I want to be with both of you."
Silence.
Until—
Toru launched herself at him.
"YES—YES—YES! YOU DUMMY, I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA TURN US DOWN!"
Mellisia laughed breathlessly, tears shining at the corners of her eyes.
"I was terrified… but hearing you say that…"
She wiped her cheek.
"I don't mind. Not if she's okay with it."
Toru nodded so fast her gloves blurred.
"Yep! She's amazing! And I like her too! So no problem!"
Warmth washed over him like a wave.
They were smiling.
Both of them.
At him.
At each other.
At a shared future.
Mellisia leaned in, touching her forehead to his.
Toru wrapped her arms around him from behind.
Izuku trembled.
"…This is really happening."
Mellisia smirked softly.
"You better take responsibility, Midoriya-kun."
Toru giggled.
"Or we'll both haunt you forever."
Izuku laughed—helplessly, joyfully.
For the first time since everything began…
his heart felt light.
He didn't choose between them.
He chose with them.
And then—
"YOUNG MIDORIYAAAAA—!!"
All Might crashed onto the rooftop like a panicked father arriving at a parent-teacher meeting.
He looked around wildly.
Izuku.
Mellisia blushing.
Toru clinging to him.
Everyone way too close.
"WHY ARE ALL OF YOU STANDING SO CLOSE!? WHAT DID I MISS!?" All Might shouted.
Izuku flinched.
"M-Master! It's not what it looks like!"
Mellisia squeaked.
Toru waved frantically—though invisible.
All Might pointed at them dramatically.
"DID YOU ENTER A RELATIONSHIP DURING A HOSTAGE SITUATION!?! YOUNG MAN!"
Izuku opened his mouth—
And Nana's voice whispered right behind him, only for him:
"Wow… three girlfriends already. Nice."
Izuku panicked—
and said it out loud.
"STOP CALLING THEM THREE GIRLFRIENDS! ALL MIGHT IS HERE"
Shit, I said it out loud… Izuku thought.
All Might's jaw dropped.
"T-THREE!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THREE!?! WHO IS THE THIRD!?"
Izuku froze.
Mellisia blinked.
"T-third…?"
Toru whispered, horrified,
"I-Is it the girl from the hospital…?"
Izuku wanted to die.
"N-No—yes—NO—wait—!"
All Might, unable to see Nana, clutched his head.
"YOUNG MIDORIYA… ARE YOU FORMING A MULTI-PERSON RELATIONSHIP!? I—IT'S LEGAL BUT—YOU—YOU—YOU'RE JUST A TEENAGER—!!"
Izuku flailed.
"MASTER PLEASE IT'S NOT LIKE THAT—NANA-SAN IS DISTURBING ME—"
Nana floated behind him, grinning, completely invisible to the living.
"Don't lie, kid. Fuyumi-chan was the first to make a move. I saw everything."
Izuku, mortified beyond human possibility, accidentally blurted:
"STOP TALKING!"
All Might fell to one knee like he had just aged ten years, shrinking into his skinny form.
The girls, unable to understand the conversation, simply watched Izuku and All Might in awe.
"MIDORIYA… WHERE IS YOUR LIFE GOING!!"
Toru squeaked.
Mellisia covered her mouth.
Izuku slapped his hands over his ears.
"NANA-SAN PLEASE STOP TALKING—YOU'RE GOING TO KILL ME—!"
Nana winked at him, smug beyond redemption.
"Tell Fuyumi-chan I said hi."
All Might groaned into his hands.
"I can't do this… three girls… ghost predecessors… I'm too old…"
Izuku wished a villain would kidnap him just to escape this moment.
Above them all, Nana floated proudly with the smuggest ghost-smirk in history.
