Chapter 27 - Chapter 27

The next day… I didn't see Toru or Mellissa again. My mind was still stuck on yesterday — on their confessions… and the answers I owed them.

While wandering around, I stumbled upon Kacchan doing a hero test with villain bots. His record was six seconds. Of course he urged me to try.

I activated Full Cowl — 45% — and finished in 5.69 seconds.

Then Shoto showed up and instantly broke both our records with five seconds. He looked more comfortable using both sides of his quirk now.

"Oi, Deku… I heard you got into an issue with two girls." Bakugo said, arms crossed.

"…Even you heard about it, Kacchan?" I muttered.

"It was a big damn commotion yesterday. I heard one of 'em even tried to off herself with you," Bakugo said bluntly.

"…Yeah. It was Hagakure. From our class. And Someone I met here at I-Expo," I said.

"How the hell do you get into this mess? Even in middle school you didn't get into this kind of shit — and you were popular back then too," Bakugo said.

"I don't know,.Kacchan..The truth is… I promised I'd answer them in a week, Kacchan…"

"A week? That kinda shit takes years to answer," Bakugo scoffed.

"…Why not accept them all?" Shoto said suddenly, listening to us.

"Shoto… do you really think they'll accept that…?" I asked.

"Who knows? But maybe. Polygamy isn't a crime. There are plenty of people with three or four marriages," he said simply.

Polygamy is a thing here…How come I don't know that? I thought silently.

"It's been a while, Izuku-kun," a soft voice said.

"Eh? Fuyumi-san? Since when were you—?"

"I came with Shoto. And I've been here… the whole time. Ever since you started talking about the two girls who proposed to you," she said.

Shit, I thought.

"Let's go on a date, Izuku-kun," she said — and dragged me away.

With Bakugo and Shoto

"Oii, Half-and-Half… is your sister also…?" Bakugo asked.

"Who knows? If that's what she wants, I have no reason to oppose her. Aside from the girls around him… I think Izuku is a genuinely good guy. I'd like him as family," Shoto said.

"You've got some weird-ass fantasies," Bakugo grumbled.

With Izuku and Fuyumi — at a café

"Izuku-kun… you know why we're here, right?" Fuyumi asked softly.

"…I don't," I said.

"Don't act oblivious. You're not dumb. You know I'm attracted to you. I love you… so much," she said.

Whoa, she can say that with a straight face… Nana muttered in my mind.

"…Yeah. I know," I answered quietly.

"There's something wrong about your mindset sometimes, Izuku-kun. Sometimes you act more mature than me, even though I'm older… then sometimes you're more childish than Shoto. Yet you're always kind… and handsome too. Maybe that's why girls flock to you," Fuyumi said.

"…Do you think people will accept me for who I am, Fuyumi-san? I get upset, sad, angry… but I can't act how I feel. I've always had to be mature. People depended on me, even when I was quirkless. Even after gaining a quirk, nothing changed. Maybe that's why I became like this…"

"Even in my past life… it was always the same," Izuku thought.

"Maybe that's why Kana left me. She couldn't bear watching me build walls around her too… shutting her out while pretending everything was fine."

Fuyumi's expression softened.

"Do you remember the day you saved me from the sludge villain? You said your body moved on its own. I wondered… how could someone do that for a stranger? And when I learned you were quirkless… I was even more confused. Someone like you shouldn't exist, Izuku-kun. You've been on my mind ever since. Sometimes… I even had wet dreams about us being intimate," she said honestly.

"For real?" I blurted.

"When I met you again… you looked even more striking than before. Seeing you smile with Shoto… it made me—" she blushed heavily. "—it made me feel things. That was the real you. The you who smiles with friends… the you who fights with everything… the you who saves people. That look on your face is the most real thing I've ever seen."

She took a trembling breath.

"Ever since you saved me… I felt like you pulled me out of sorrow. You know our family circumstances. Honestly… I hoped I'd die that day. But I clung to life…hoping that somebody would save me..and then you saved me. Izuku-kun, you've always been my light since then.. Since that day… you've always been my greatest hero."

"…Fuyumi-san," I whispered, leaning closer.

"So please… just be yourself, Izuku-kun. All your problems will eventually fade."

My heartbeat pounded so loud I could hear it.

Before I knew it, I scooped her up in a princess carry and jumped — floating and using Air Force — landing atop the highest tower.

"…I love you, Fuyumi-san," I said.

"I'm not saying this on a whim. These are my true feelings. I tried to suppress them because you're Shoto's sister… but I can't anymore. The care you show me… the way you understand me… I want to learn everything about you too. I love you."

I leaned in and kissed her.

The kiss was intense. Ten whole minutes… and we only deepened it, again and again.

"That was… phenomenal…" Fuyumi whispered breathlessly.

"Yeah… you're pretty intense, Fuyumi-san. I didn't expect you to give in that much," I said, still catching my breath.

"What can I say? If the man I love confesses so romantically and kisses me like that… there's no way I can hold back," she said.

"So does this mean… we're really boyfriend and girlfriend now?" she asked shyly.

"Yeah… girlfriend-san," I smiled.

"So what will you tell those girls, Izuku-kun?"

"…I don't know, Fuyumi-san. But their feelings… they feel genuine. I can see it in their eyes…"

"If their feelings are real… you can accept them too. I'm not selfish enough to keep you all to myself. You're handsome and cute — girls will fawn over you. But there's one condition. I'm your first. For everything. Marriage… Sex… anything," she said firmly.

Nana whistled. "You've got yourself a damn understanding girlfriend, kid."

"Fuyumi-san… there's something else. You'll be the first person I tell this to. Not my family. Not Kacchan…"

I explained everything — One For All, All For One, how I inherited the quirk from All Might.

"Kid… you might be putting her in danger," Kudou warned.

"My brother is cruel. Nobody is safe from him," Yoichi added.

"…Wait. So you're All Might's successor and not his son?!" Fuyumi asked.

"Why does EVERYONE ask that? Do I look like All Might?" I groaned.

"No… but Father and Shoto told me—"

"Those father and son share the same brain cell," I muttered.

Fuyumi burst into laughter.

"I like this honest Izuku-kun much better," she said.

I leaned in to kiss her again — no, to devour her — but she stopped me.

"N-Not now, Izuku-kun… If you make a move on me again I might not be able to hold back. I'm right at the edge…" she said, blushing furiously.

Fuu… Izuku-kun has gotten a lot more honest… in more ways than one, Fuyumi thought as she stared — unable to look away — at the very obvious "problem" rising between us.

Six days passed. The week was over.

Izuku had to answer the two girls today — on the last day of I-Expo.

But before he could…

Darkness began to cover I-Expo.

Wolfram and his team had arrived.
