Alex then headed out of the castle to embark on a journey full of adventures and potentially risking this life. However being a cultivator he needs to consume the beast meats to advance in his cultivation realm.
He used the Fiery Phoenix Technique to run forward in the jungle and due to his middle level yellow realm cultivation he was even faster and within ten minutes he was more then ten miles in the Jungle.
He continued to run for another five minutes and he was now about fifteen miles in the jungle which was the edge of the outer section of the jungle where most of the Grade one magical beasts were discovered. He had lost almost the fifty percent of his dou qi so he swallowed the dou qi pills to refill the dou qi which he had lost swiftly and felt energetic instantaneously.
Alex thought "This time I have to look for a smaller magical beast so that I can get more energy essence from eating less meat. Otherwise it will take a months time to just finish that turtle and more time to advance another level."
He started scouting the area of the Jungle. Soon he found a heard of deers which were roaming in a group. These deers were to fast to catch as soon as they sensed Alex's slight movement they ran miles away from him. He searched for hours and spotted a wildcat which was small however it seemed very wild and aggressive since at this point it was fiercely trying to hunt a rabbit which was running for its life.
He quickly took out his bow and arrow he had around hundred arrows in his quiver however he still can't miss because one miss will alert the wild cat and he will loose his chance to hunt then it may ran away or attack him so he had to be absolutely sure on the target.
He got as near the wild cat as possible and then deployed the Dragon Arrow Technique and amined at the Wild cat as he saw that the wild cat had already caught its prey rabbit in his mouth and was suffocating it to kill it.

He fired the arrow using the Dragon Arrow Technique. The arrow was shot out from the bow with an overbearing speed and power. It flew through the air and submerged itself into the skull of the wild cat killing it instantly.

There was a system notification in his mind. He was a bit dissapointed since he did not get any beast forms however this wild cat was quite small and weighed only a few pounds. With his hightened appetite he could consume it easily.
When he got to the wild cat he found that even the rabbit was succesfully killed by the wild cat so he got two small animals which were a great opportunity for him.
Alex thought "Great it seems I am in Luck today."
He cleaned the animals, cleaned them in the water, gutted them out and then started a fire then and there for the night and started to roast the rabbit and the wild cat. He also added some ingredients into the meat while roasting them to elevate the taste of the flesh. After roasting them completely he had the complete meal of the Rabbit and the wild cat. The rabbit meat was sweet but the wild cat had a bit of a gamey smell on it but still it was good. It helped to satisfy his hunger.

Alex thought "Hmm! I have now enough energy essence to advance to another level this is good. Since these animals were so small they carried enough energy essence in them for me to advance to the next level. Let me cultivate then."
Alex sat cross legged in front of the fire in the clearing. Since there was fire not many magical beast will dare to attack and besides that this was only the outer part of the Jungle so he had scouted the area before choseing this site as his resting place for the night.
He sunk his mind in his body and found that there was an abundance of energy essence he quickly circulated his dou qi in his meridians several times and then tried to control the flow of the energy essence with the dou qi. After a number of circulations the energy essence started to follow the dou qi and flow through his meridians.
He circulated the energy essence in his body a hundred times clearing them of any impurities as his pores on his skins released those impurities out and then the energy essence merged with his dou qi converting into a form of pure energy but this time it was in abundance.
He directed the pure energy towards the energy core area near his heart as the pure energy started to pore in the energy core. The energy core started to grumble and glow as if sucking greedily on the pure energy. After sometime there was a flash in his body as if something was breached and he heard a system notification in his mind.

Alex successfully broke through the upper stage of the yellow realm and he felt his aura growing as he felt a warm current flood his chest and then all of his body. It was a very pleasant feeling as if he was in bliss. He felt the strength in both of his arms as if he could pluck one of those massive trees right of the ground with one rapid motion with his hand.
It was a massive boost to his confidence since with an increased strength he had more confidence in dealing with the magical beast. Also the threat to his life will also decrease.
