She led the veteran army, standing right in their midst of each segment, submerged. Zaya squinted her eyes in search of the others, she could see Ashara in the midst of one of the segments of the veteran army, marching along with them, Zaya smiled.
She stared towards June, who was on another side of the army, but a far distance away from where Ashara was. June seemed to be working on her nano shield, as it was not as strong as Chinami, she did this while marching.
Zaya squinted her eyes further, her gaze on Natasha, they seemed to be chatting with each other in excitement, as they'll finally get to join the war. Zaya focused back on ordering the troops.
After the veteran army marched outside of the sanctuary successfully, Zaya ordered them to surround the whole building in a phalanx formation: About two hundred men stood at the last roll with spears in their hands, while the ones at the front hold shields, The others in the middle stay close to each other, it's an ancient Greek defense formation, Zaya had learned back in school.
The nano watch on Zaya's hand beeped, as a hologram of Chinami appeared on it. Zaya, we are set for take off. Take off? Zaya asked, startled, yes, Zaya, the sanctuary is also built for flight, listen, do not let it crash, protect it with all of your might.
The Vikings are attacking every part of the world, but mostly the North West, since that's where the fox clan had thrived in the ancient times. On sight of the Viking, Zaya, I want you to escape, don't look back, Do you understand? Yes, Alpha commander.
Now, order the troops to march forward, the sanctuary is about to take off. Zaya ordered the troops to march, They moved about twenty steps forward, then halted.
There was a loud whirring sound from underneath the sanctuary, from both of the sides, on top, the right and the left. Some air foils emerged, with two jet boosters at the end of each.
Zaya stared in amazement at the sanctuary. She wondered at how fast they'd built it, and how prepared Zoey's mum had been for this battle.
The sanctuary began to rise, filling the whole area with dust and smoke. The sanctuary had begun flying, Zaya heaved a sigh of relief, as they might make it, after all.
She began thinking about where exactly the sanctuary was headed, when there suddenly was a loud metal clank. The dragon had begun attacking the sanctuary. The mythical beast struck the sanctuary with its claws.
The sanctuary shook rigorously in the sky. Zaya scanned for Korin, he was on the head of the dragon, seemingly attacking it with his sword, but it was pointless, as the dragon's head was as hard as iron.
Zaya looked up, wishing to join him in the battle, her hands fastening, she gritted her teeth, as she thought of a very crazy idea. She then faced back towards the army, who stared with straight faces and serious intentions, as they've been training for these battles since years ago.
Zaya yelled, I need you all to cheer for Korin now! Everyone in the army's gaze suddenly fell on Zaya, some began chuckling, others murmuring, while a few slightly laughed.
Zaya then screamed, Go Korin, slay the dragon! Go Korin, slay the dragon! She repeated this continuously, then soon, the others joined in, chanting Korin's name, encouraging him to slay the dragon.
Back in the flying sanctuary's control room, stood the mayor of the Phantom City, his look distorted, as he saw the representative of the Alpha commander of the veteran army, just gave a very ridiculous order.
He shifted his gaze to Chinami, who was pressing some buttons on the nano keyboard. She then said, that was the instruction I gave her, mayor, to protect the Sanctuary at all costs.
The mayor smiled, facing the screen at his front. Korin, the last descendant of the Taik royal family, in the Jalen realm, he had always lived an isolated life, because, as the prince and heir to the throne of the Taik kingdom, his duty was overwhelming.
When he became of age, his father, the king, taught him the Ancient technique, gifted by Edeth to his ancestors. His father had told him a lot of secrets about Edeth, and how she protected their realm, which was submerged to the earth realm, from the evil hands of the Viking clan, centuries ago.
Korin had somewhat loved his simple life, until a day came, Korin was given a once in ten years leave away from the royal palace to see the rest of the kingdom, because of his strength, and how he had mastered the ancient technique, he was allowed to walk alone.
Korin chose the kingdom's edge, dressed in a cloak, he stood on top of the cliff, staring down at the ocean that was ahead of him, the wish for adventure could be seen in his eyes.
He made a wish in his heart, for him to leave the responsibility of this kingdom, and sail free, far away from the kingdom. Suddenly, there was a loud wailing sound from the village, people screaming continuously, Korin's heart began to pound loudly, as he began taking his wish back, but nothing happened.
He mounted his white horse, the horse neighed, acting strangely, what's wrong, Sebastian, Korin cried. As the horse galloped recklessly, throwing him off its back, and jumping off the cliff, Korin yelled, as he was about to follow Sebastian into the ocean, but distracting him was a loud, powerful sound in the sky.
Korin knew this was what was meant to happen, when their realm was being joined together with earth again, which hadn't occurred for centuries, he thought, his hands began shaking, as he grabbed his dazzling sword, that had fallen from Sebastian's side, and was now on the ground.
On reaching one of the nearest villages, Korin saw that some magic had begun to take place, but was unstable, as the spell hadn't been cast properly. This must be from the Viking clan, he thought, Korin ran through the village, heading straight for the capital, unfortunately for him, it was several miles away.
On getting to the village, Korin saw that some of the villagers had begun turning to animals, he began running with all of his might, The flow in his steps was distorted, when there was a sudden crackle in the sky.
Korin looked up, as he saw the sky had been scared with purple lines, there was a rift in space. Being distracted, staring up to the strange sky, Korin was hit by a villager, who had fallen prey to the enchantment.
Korin fell, loosing his consciousness, when he woke up, there was fire everywhere, The kingdom had been set ablaze, and destroyed by the people in it.
Korin looked around, as he stood up, fear and sorrow apparent in his eyes, he was the only one left alive, others were animals. He began walking away from the village, each step hurting, as he trembled in pain.
Korin heard a loud growl, he stared back, as he knew what animal owned that growl, it was a lion, its whole body red, as it had been bathed in blood.
Korin then spoke, his voice fidgeting, I am your prince, kneel before me! The lion began approaching Korin slowly, Korin fell on his knees, as he was weak, there was nothing he could do against this beast, he wondered why the villagers hadn't killed him, while he was asleep.
He closed his eyes, and raised his hands up, as death finally came to take him. There was a loud sound at Korin's back, followed by the squealing of a lion.
Korin opened his eyes, as he saw the lion had laid flat on the ground, a round hole in his head, he faced back, as he stared at a person behind him, who wore a black cloak, with a gun in her hands, smoke coming out of it.
The figure then said, only a primordial beast can kill another primordial beast, but I guess a gun can easily handle one, who just transformed. The figure then opened her cloak, and spoke, I am Chinami, young prince, welcome back to planet Earth.
Hearing the continuous encouragement from the veterans below, Korin took the technique's stance on the dragon, his dazzling sword held tight in his hands, his focus determined, as he made the strike on the dragon's head.
The dragon wailed in pain, as one of his horns was broken from the strike. Some liquid flows from the top of its head, towards the ground. The dragon shook immensely, roaring, as it began falling from the sky; this did not exclude Korin; he was also falling at a great speed.
The veterans cheered for Korin, as he had just defeated the great dragon, Zaya smiled from below, as she was not a bad leader, after all. She wondered if she could go ahead and catch Korin; he might not die, or fall unconscious from the impact of the fall, but the strike was sure to hurt him.
Zaya's thoughts were suddenly interrupted from loud shrieks, far away, she stared ahead of her, as a swarm of red fire beasts covered the ruins of the Phantom City, They were here!
