Liam's POV
"Speak another word and I guarantee you'll be breathing through your mouth for the rest of your miserable life."
Having Wade here was always trouble. My brother had a talent for opening his mouth at the worst possible moments and destroying everything in his path, intentional or not.
"Touched a sensitive spot, did I?" Wade wheezed, clearly struggling against my grip.
I sensed Vivian's gaze burning into my shoulders before her voice cut through the tension. "Liam-"
"Get out, Vivian." My tone remained steady, quiet, eyes locked on my brother's entertained expression. Despite whatever guilt he carried about our past, Wade never failed to take pleasure in pushing my buttons.
"But I need to-"
"Go. Now."
The atmosphere shifted instantly. I felt it like a physical weight pressing down on us. Vivian hadn't said anything yet, but I knew she was already frustrated about me avoiding our bedroom last night after being the one to ask her to stay.
