As she was coming closer,both Susan and Daniel continued to panick.Everyone who noticed her presence in the hall stopped dancing.They looked at her as their faces were covered with confusion.
As Jessica got close to Susan and Daniel she said"Daniel,why are you doing this to me and the family?,we are from a wealthy family and you are not supposed to associate with poor people like this trash standing here.Veronica is in your class.She loves you and she is even pregnant for you.". Jessica's eye brows were raised upwards as she was talking with confidence.
Daniel replied "mom I like love Susan,she is the woman who is gradually making me to become a better person".
"Shut up your mouth.You know nothing about love.listen to me.If you don't marry Veronica then I will disown you.Veronica have already treathened to report you in court if you don't do the right thing.Veronica is heavily pregnant and she is about to give birth.This means that you will be punished and you will be forced to financially take care of the child she will be carrying ".
Immediately Susan felt hurt.It felt like a sharp knife Pierce her heart.
"Excuse me,I will not allow you insult me here"Susan looked at her from hair to toe.
"Everyone please leave now and go back to work"Daniel took the microphone and spoke loudly with his eye brow looking furrowed in anger.
As everyone was leaving Susan looked at Daniel,she saw the way Daniel was looking confused and guilty like someone who have truly committed an offence by impregnating Veronica.
"Her heart began to shatter gradually.She tried to convince herself that Daniel is innocent but her feelings were failing her at that moment.
"Dan,I want you to look at me in the eyes and tell me if the baby that Veronica is carrying is true"tears gradually began to drop from her eyes.Her voice was wrapped with sorrow.
Daniel began to feel bad for what he has made Susan to pass through.He looked at Susan in her eyes and said"darling,you need to believe me,I am not the one responsible for the pregnancy Veronica is carrying"he draw closer to Susan as his eyes were filled with honesty.
"So this is what you both are doing?my son Daniel is talking to a poor wretched girl because he has been blinded by love"Jessica who is Daniel's mom spoke to Daniel.
"Enough is enough ma,I will not watch you call me all manner of names again".Susan responded angrily.Her voice made the hall to echoe.The veins in her neck were obvious as she was talking in anger.
"Mom,I don't like the way you are talking to Susan.i can't tolerate this"Daniel spoke to his mom as he felt the pain of Susan.
"Who are you to talk back at me you desperate slut?leave my son alone,he is not in your class.You are from a poor home. Jessica spoke to Susan as her eye brow went upwards in confidence.
"Hahaha,Daniel loves me and he came for me.Ever since he knew me his life have changed positively.No woman in his life have ever done it.Not even Veronica who is the desperate slut.Imagine she forcefully kissed Daniel in the public when Daniel did not ask for it.but Daniel can chase me all day"Susan forced a smile even though Jessica's previous statements is hurting her.
"Are you talking to me like that?".She felt the pain of insult in her heart.Her face was squeezed.
Daniel was a little bit nervous and in panick because his mother looks hurt, disappointed and she might develop any form of heart failure again.
"Mom,it's okay.You need to take it easy because of your health.I think you need to go home"Daniel spoke to his mom softly because he felt sorry for her health.
"Dan,I am out of here.i am going"Susan spoke to Daniel as she walked out of the hall in anger to her house.
Back at Fred's apartment Fred, Elizabeth was watching a movie in the sitting room while Fred was browsing through the internet on his phone.Fred was also watching the movie that Elizabeth was watching but his attention was not completely on the movie as he was browsing.
"Fred,we need to plan a special day this week for outing,it's quite long we did that"Elizabeth spoke.
"Yeah, it's true"he replied after 3 seconds of being focused on his phone.
"What day should we pick for the outing and which place are we going"Elizabeth spoke to Fred.
Fred was looking at something special on Facebook.He saw Susan and Daniel standing in the front of all his staffs.He saw Daniel holding Susan by the waist.His face changed.there were regret in his eyes.the desire of Susan coming back to his life was increasing in him.Susan's beautiful makeup which was specially made by Jennifer her friend made Fred to continue to stare at the picture.
Elizabeth noticed he had not answered her for about 10 seconds.She said to Fred"I am talking to you".
Fred was so unconscious as he was staring at the picture.Elizabeth could see that he is admiring something that touches his heart.
Elizabeth looked at Fred and said to herself "what could Fred be looking at,what is that thing that can take his whole attention?".
"Fred,I am talking to you"She spoke to Fred with a louder voice.
She became curious to know what it is.She stood up from the chair and went to were Fred is.When she saw the picture on Fred's phone she knew that it was the picture of Susan that have been keeping him so unconscious.She became so heart broken and deeply hurt She felt like killing Susan.
She tapped Fred with her hand,Fred then answered like someone who just woke up regained consciousness.
Immediately Elizabeth felt like slapping Fred.
"S...so it's this nonsense picture that has taken away your attention from your girlfriend right?,I can see that it's clear you still love Susan.i am leaving this house today".her face became squeezed in anger.
"Babyyy,it's not what you think,I am just remembering the past,how she left me so heart broken untill you healed my heart "Fred answered.
It's a lie,I know you very well.you are lieing.Ever since Susan started dating Daniel your senior brother you no more give me so much attention like before.our relationship is becoming boring ". Elizabeth hatred for Susan began to grow in her.
"It's not what you think.I still care for you.Susan belongs to the past."Daniel tried to deceive Elizabeth.
"Fred when last did we make love to each other?when was the last time we went to a place to have fun?".
"Lizzy,I have been busy with so many things,you need to believe me"Fred replied.
Elizabeth was heart broken already,she walked quietly into one of the guest room to be alone.As Elizabeth was going to the room Fred said to her.Elizabeth are you angry?"
Elizabeth ignored and went into the sitting room and locked herself there.Elizabeth have been suffering in the hands of Fred.Ever since Fred discovered that Susan is dating his name senior brother he has always feel cheated.He sees Elizabeth as a lesser version of Susan.
Fred went to the door of the guest room which was locked from behind by Elizabeth.He said to her "Elizabeth what is the problem,I have explained everything to you".
"You are a lier,ever since you left Susan you have always think about her.Anything I do you try compare me with Susan in that area".She shouted in anger from the guest room as tears gradually drop from her eyes.
"Elizabeth,I love you,please believe me,I didn't mean to compare you with susan.i just wanted you to improve".
"I will leave this house today so that you will go and be with her".
"Elizabeth,why are you always so angry about Susan,I have nothing to do with her,she belongs to the past now"Fred was speaking to her.
"Her name is all over the place.People are saying that I was the slut that slept with you who was her ex who was you Fred.Now I look like the bad person". yesterday I saw a post on social media when someone was saying that I am the evil one that made Susan to find a billionaire lover who is Daniel"
"You have to forget about what people are saying and focus on your present"Daniel replied.
"I feel depressed,hurt and traumatized when I hear people talking about Susan and how I was the slut.i feel like living this place because people like that are more around this environment "
"Elizabeth,you can't leave,I love you".Fred actually loved Susan more.He had realized that he actually did not love Elizabeth but he was only lusting after her.He knew that Susan was the woman he truly loved after when she left his life.
Elizabeth opened the door,her face was swollen in tears"Fred,if you love me then we need to kill that Susan.So that our relationship can grow.You need to do what I say so that I can be free from this guilt"
