Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 –

1- Awakening in the Purgatory

Finn woke up in the middle of nowhere. It was a place full of light and yet dark at the same time. There was neither salvation nor destruction.

It was just an infinite purgatory—and he was in it.

A stronger light shone, blinding him. It was different. A true light.

(A small being, whose soul had reincarnated, whose chance had been taken.)

Finn: Who are you? What are you?

(I am Time, a king of old, deposed by ungrateful children.)

Alex: What do you want from me?

(You will return to your former life.)

Memories began flooding Finn's mind—how he was the most irritating of the originals in that vampire world, how he hated himself, how he once wished to die—and yet smiled as his new experiences changed him.

Born in a weak body, never given a chance to live a normal life, always craving power to survive, he finally merged his memories and became a man who desired power but did not lose his humanity.

(Choose three wishes.)

He didn't hesitate.

Finn: 1—Modify the immortality spell so the originals take alpha forms like the werewolves in Teen Wolf. 2—Make the immortality spell also imprint a magical crest with semi-ghost powers like Danny Phantom. 3—Fertility for the originals.

(Very well. For your first wish, the originals evolved into reinforced originals.

The magical crest with ghost powers will be etched into your hearts.

Fertility comes at a cost: males pay a price, and females can only conceive with vampires. The vampires created after you will have the same benefits; their price will be higher.

All benefits can be utilized upon evolution.)

Finn: Very well.

2: The Return of the Family

Some time later…

???: Wake up, boy.

Hearing the familiar voice, Finn opened his eyes and saw his long-dead father.

The vampire who had hunted them for so long, the reason he couldn't enjoy life.

Losing his magic at the time had been painful, but now he understood he would have traded everything to regain the body of a vampire.

Reincarnating into a sickly individual had destroyed him, forcing him to take responsibility.

Finn stood and looked around. His father was there, along with his siblings, all frozen.

Finn (thinking): Was I the last to wake?

???: Drink.

The man threw the body of a young woman in front of Finn, who knew exactly what to do. He drank the blood quickly, feeling power flow into his body. It was as if the world had gained a new color. He was powerful again and felt invincible.

Rising, he walked toward his siblings.

Finn: What's happening?

He feigned ignorance as he moved next to Kol.

Kol: I've lost my magic. I can't feel it.

The younger brother looked at the elder with tearful eyes.

Finn: Calm down. It'll pass. I lost mine too.

Kol: How are you so calm?

Finn: Why panic?

The other siblings overheard, and Rebekah's eyes widened when she realized she too had lost her magic.

Rebekah: No… my magic.

Mikael: Stop crying! Don't you see that what has been done was for your own good?

Mikael shouted aggressively. Niklaus, terrified, tried to intervene, but Finn got there first.

Finn: Enough. She's just sad about losing her magic. There's no reason to attack her.

All the siblings stared at Finn in shock. He had never cared for them before.

Mikael: Boy, who do you think you are, challenging me?

Mikael stepped forward aggressively, ready to strike. Finn didn't flinch. He stepped forward too, ready to defend himself.

Finn: The eldest protects the younger ones. Naturally.

He clenched his fists. He wouldn't run from Mikael—not in this life. He wouldn't spend another 900 years in a coffin. He wouldn't let incompetents like Elijah and Niklaus lead the family.

Seeing Finn's determined gaze, Mikael felt many emotions—anger, hate, and pride that his son had become a true man.

Esther: Please stop! Finn, don't challenge your father.

Finn (thinking): Don't speak to me, you whore. You sold my sister and my niece.

He chose not to say it aloud and moved away from Mikael, who also retreated.

Finn: Elijah, find something to bury the girl. The least we can give her is a dignified burial.

Elijah hesitated but obeyed the elder and went to find something.

Finn: Niklaus, take our sister inside and calm her. Kol, go with her.

They nodded and took Rebekah inside.

Finn: Now, mother and father, everything is settled. I will take my leave.

Mikael nodded, and Finn left.

3: The Ghost Crest

Not long after, Finn waited for Rebekah to calm down. He sat cross-legged, as he once did when practicing magic, to let his power flow.

Suddenly, his heart raced. He opened his eyes.

He was somewhere else—a vast ocean of darkness, with light stretching to the sky, devoid of life. A glowing crest hovered in front of him.

The crest was shaped like a serpent coiled in darkness.

As he touched it, something appeared before him. The crest spun around itself and circled Finn's chest, etching a tattoo over his heart.

(The ghost crest of darkness fused with the host. The immortal body, upon merging with the ghost crest, evolved into Nosferatu.)

Suddenly, Finn began recalling thousands of dark element spells he had never learned. More and more spells kept flooding his mind until the pain forced him to open his eyes.

Looking around, he saw his siblings sleeping and sighed, lying back down.

4: The Camps and Hunger

Years passed. People began to suspect them. They had transformed and not aged.

They relocated to a forest camp far from villages.

No one could suspect them; they only went to villages for essential supplies—clothing or construction materials.

Finn realized that after awakening, his thirst for blood had decreased by 80%. He could go months without feeding without suffering.

The longest he went was five months. Hunger became intense but manageable, and he eventually gave in.

All was fine until Niklaus took his first life.

Finn had been elsewhere, having forgotten the incident while conducting research. When he returned to the camp, he saw Esther casting a spell over Niklaus, Elijah and Mikael restraining him.

Rebekah was crying, and Kol seemed to be preparing something.

Finn: What the hell is happening? Let him go!

Finn shouted, startling everyone. He ran toward Elijah and threw him aside.

Mikael: Don't interfere, boy!

Mikael released Niklaus and lunged at Finn. The elder was fast and strong; Finn struggled to defend himself.

This was completely different from fighting his siblings. Even now, evolving stronger than them, he struggled.

It shouldn't have been possible… unless Esther had purposely made Mikael stronger.

But there was no need to despair. Finn soon countered, holding his own against his father.

He considered using his ghost powers but knew it wasn't a good idea—Mikael might flee to evolve too. The old man was already so powerful as a regular original. Imagine him as an alpha. It wouldn't be too dangerous…

Finally, Finn created distance. He felt something—an opposing energy. While he was darkness, a light infiltrated Mikael's skin, crackling with electric sparks. The elder writhed in pain.

Finn took the opportunity to knock him down and punch him in the jaw, breaking his neck.

Seeing Mikael defeated, Finn noticed Kol watching him with a strange expression.

(Seems Kol discovered how to evolve on his own.)

Ignoring it, Finn ran to Niklaus, crying on the ground.

Niklaus: He's gone… my wolf side… it's gone.

Finn: Calm down, brother. I'll help you. We'll eliminate this curse.

Chapter 5: Revenge and Evolution

Later…

Klaus: Why did you do this to me, Mother? Why?

Esther: You don't understand, Niklaus, it was for your own—

Esther coughed up blood and fell.

Niklaus: Mother!

Klaus ran to her, seeing a massive wound in her back—her heart was gone.

Finn, behind the trees, transformed into shadows, holding a heart in his hands, disappearing into darkness.

Finn: I avenged you, sister. This witch will never harm her children again. Now, the next…

Finn emerged from the shadows near a cabin in town, eyeing a young woman.

Finn: Hello, Tatia.

He greeted her respectfully.

Tatia: Lord Mikaleson… have you come for more blood?

She looked at him with fear; she knew something was wrong since the Mikaleson matriarch had offered her a fortune for her blood.

Finn noticed a scar on her wrist, smiled, and didn't give her time to respond. He appeared behind her, biting her wrist to let her drink his blood.

Without hesitation, he broke her neck, waited for her to awaken, and forced her to complete the transition.

He realized Tatia had already reached an advanced stage; she didn't need to evolve like him, leading him to conclude that a vampire turned by an alpha could also become an alpha.

To test, he drove a stake into her heart. She died as a normal vampire.

For a moment, Finn feared the weakness might remain—but minutes later, she awakened, evolved into a version of the original, while the original evolved into a reinforced version.

Using his last resort, Finn decapitated her. Her head decomposed rapidly: 10 minutes to bones, 20 to dust. A new head grew: bones, muscles, skin, and hair.

He realized second-generation alphas were literally originals with some deficiencies; the weakness lay in the heart.

He chose not to kill her. Using compulsion, he sent her away with a newborn in her care.
