Chapter 1 :
"I woke up and headed straight to the bathroom to take a warm shower, but the water was cold. I decided to ask my dad why the water was cold, despite our strained relationship. When I approached him, he looked at me with a serious face and simply said, 'Go away, I'm busy.' I did as he said and left him alone.
Next, I went to my mom's room and asked if I could use her shower, but she told me to go away, saying she was busy with work. Frustrated, I quickly texted my best friend Jack and asked if I could take a shower at his house. He agreed, and I rushed next door.
When Jack opened the door, I couldn't help but giggle at his chicken-themed pajamas. He looked annoyed, but I just patted him on the shoulder and said, 'Relax, it's kinda cute.' I walked past him and into the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

After a few minutes, Jack's brother knocked again, and his sister opened the door. I was furious, screaming at her for not respecting my privacy. She said she knew I was watching videos and taking my time on purpose. I nervously laughed, feeling embarrassed.
When I finally finished and got dressed, I asked Jack if he could give me a ride to my sister Emily's dance competition. He enthusiastically agreed, and we headed out.
As we arrived at the competition, Jack's excitement was palpable, especially when he saw Emily. He had a huge crush on her, but she didn't return his feelings. Despite this, I tried to encourage him, hoping he'd find someone who liked him for who he was.
During the competition, everything seemed normal until the big glass chandelier above the stage broke and fell on top of Emily. I screamed her name and rushed to the stage, where I saw people calling 911 and security holding me back. An ambulance took her away, and I felt horrible, crying and hoping she'd be okay.
I ran to Jack's car and told him to follow the ambulance. He drove us to the hospital, trying to calm me down despite his own stress. When we arrived, we received terrible news...
