Chapter 22: The Depression of the Earth, the Birth of the First Ocean God
Two figures flashed.
Tartarus's devouring form and the goddess of night, Nyx, appeared at the edge of the earth, gazing into the boundless darkness.
The gods of the Chaos world are not human. Powerful gods are not infants at birth and do not need to grow from infancy to adulthood.
At the same time, gods are immortal and possess infinite lifespans, so naturally there is no such thing as youth or aging.
After Tartarus gave birth to the first god from Gaia, the god of earth, she became the Earth Mother, and it is speculated that she changed from a young girl to a young woman.
When gods encounter certain circumstances, such as childbirth, their appearance changes.
For example, Nyx's appearance has changed slightly, from a girl to a young woman.
After a month of frenzied pleasure, her features seemed to have gradually blossomed from immaturity. 4
Now she was even more beautiful and alluring than before, her figure more voluptuous and captivating, her allure surpassing even the past.
Her former night gauze dress had been transformed into a high-necked, long-skirted night gown, resplendent and elegant. Like a queen, she naturally exuded a haughty and noble aura.
"A new god, born in the darkness of night and darkness, is it the ocean or the mountains?" Just as doubts arose in Nyx, the goddess of night, she sensed a change and frowned slightly, a flicker of discontent in her eyes.
She had left the abyss, and night had also left it, spreading across the world.
Naturally, she sensed that the new god would be born beyond the ends of the earth, in the surrounding darkness.
Originally, darkness enveloped the earth, connecting to the abyss, with Chaos's world having the greatest extent of darkness.
The birth of the sky god not only robbed Night of some of its divine power but also caused it to be enveloped by the sky, completely unable to sense the existence of the world barrier.
She sensed that the Earth Mother was giving birth to her second child, but in the darkness of night.
That might have taken away some of her divine power, and the darkness would have been even smaller.
"I hope the new gods will get along well." Erebus, the God of Darkness, appeared beside the two gods of Tartarus, his gloomy face growing even darker.
The Earth and Sky were already the most powerful in the world, and now the Earth was about to give birth to new gods, who would be even stronger.
The darkness would be even smaller, weakening her again.
"Greetings, Your Highnesses. It's a pity that this time, the Earth itself is once again bearing the child alone, unable to witness another birth." Eros, the God of Love and Lust, appeared beside Tartarus.
"Strengthened." Tartarus didn't need to look; he could already sense that Eros had risen from his original weak divine power to the early stages of medium divine power.
After his last devouring, his devouring clone had risen to the middle stages of medium divine power. Otherwise, it would have been the same as the current Eros, the God of Love.
"Hello, Eros. What is this other kind of gestation you speak of?" asked Nyx, the goddess of night.
"You two will understand," Eros smiled mysteriously.
At this moment, the four gods simultaneously soared into the air, leaving the ground.
Boom!
Suddenly, the entire earth shook violently, a resounding roar echoing throughout the world of Chaos.
"Is Sister Gaia growing stronger?" Nyx, the goddess of night, said, then retorted, "No, her strength isn't increasing, it's the process of giving birth to new gods."
Nyx's misjudgment was due to the fact that everyone saw the earth expanding!
It wasn't expanding in one direction; the entire earth was rapidly expanding.
The night and darkness between the end of the earth and the sky at the end of the world were being squeezed to the upper and lower parts of the earth as the earth expanded.
"In the Depression of the Earth, the first Sea God is about to be born. In Greek mythology, I know of few stories about this deity, but he later betrayed the Sky God. Perhaps we could become allies."
Tartarus pondered, glancing in one direction.
In that direction, not far away in the sky, the Sky God, Uranus, appeared.
"Nice to see you, my nephew. Are you here to witness the birth of your brother?" Tartarus smiled.
"Not at all, Tartarus. I'm concerned for my brother's safety. Any ideas you have, best discard them. Within the sky, I rule," said Uranus, the Sky God, calmly.
More than a decade later, they met again. Tartarus sensed that the Sky God had reached the early stages of peak divine power.
"This growth rate is worthy of the Son of the World. If it weren't for my consuming so much Chaos Origin, he would have surpassed me," Tartarus thought.
He ignored the Sky God's cryptic message and said calmly, "I'll protect Sister Gaia. After all, your birth absorbed more than just the essence and divine power of darkness and night."
"You also absorbed a greater portion of the Earth's essence and divine power. Perhaps the Chaos Element should reappear, harming Sister Gaia and my unborn nephew."
"Of course, if the Chaos Element truly appears, if you don't trust me, you can accept it this time."
"I have my own decision," said Sky God Uranus calmly.
As he grew up, he had experienced the devastation of the Chaos Element to his own body, but he didn't believe Tartarus had truly acted for him and the Mother Goddess.
As the two gods conversed, the Earth had expanded to connect with the sky at the end of the world.
Originally, beyond the end of the Earth lay a vast expanse of darkness, but now the sky and Earth were completely connected, and darkness no longer existed.
"As expected," said Night Goddess Nyx, with a cold expression.
The birth of a new god disrupted her beautiful life with Tartarus.
Night reluctantly left the Abyss.
And now, she felt her divine power draining away again, a reminiscence of the time when the Sky God was born.
Erebus, the God of Darkness, also sensed the draining of divine power. He remained silent, but took a half step toward Tartarus.
Although Tartarus instilled terror and mystery, as well as inexplicable pressure,
While the Abyss hadn't yet seized the darkness, the Earth had experienced a second such tragedies, and there might be more to come.
Just as the Earth expanded to the world's end, completely merging with the sky, the previously expanded landmasses suddenly cracked and ripped apart.
Boom!
A violent earthquake shook the land surrounding the Earth, and vast, deep ravines appeared.
Collapse, cracking, shattering...
Around the land, the essence and divine power of Gaia, the Earth Mother, flowed into the collapsing ring of land.
At the same time, the gods sensed that invisible essence and divine power had penetrated the barrier between the world and the sky, pouring into the ring of land.
The Sky God frowned slightly, thinking of Tartarus, the God of Hell and the Abyss, absorbing the essence of chaos and some of his own essence and divine power.
Then, Uranus, the Sky God, mobilized his divine power...
