While I hesitate to join Colson in marching toward Leiara's room, I know I can't afford to miss it.
The scene that's about to start will for sure clarify my doubts and worries. So I rise from the chair and follow Colson swiftly.
I catch him banging on Leiara's door from a distance. His voice is loud and laced with raw anger.
"Leiara!!!"
But no matter how much he seems to bang on the door and call out to her, not a single response comes from her.
Is she dead, is the only thought that crosses my mind.
She's been in there for two days now. And without food, I doubt she'll have any energy to speak even if she wants to.
"What is this game you always play when you're at a disadvantage? Always resorting to tricks like this whenever you're in the wrong! You never want to be held accountable for your wrongs! I demand you open this door right now!"
A moment later, and no response comes from Leiara.
