Chapter 166 - Scott and Cassie

"Ooh ooh ooh!"

After Peter knocked on the door, he heard a loud shout from inside.

The voice sounded somewhat familiar; it should be Scott.

The other one was soft and gentle. Peter thought for a moment; it should be Scott's daughter, Cassie.

Cassie was actually Scott's daughter from his previous marriage.

Because Scott was imprisoned for a crime, they divorced, and Cassie naturally went with his ex-wife.

Later, his ex-wife remarried, and her new husband was a Los Angeles Police Department officer.

Surprisingly, their relationship was quite good.

During Scott's home confinement, his ex-wife often brought Cassie to visit him.

This was also recorded in the files.

Thump!

A slight impact sounded upstairs.

Peter frowned, instinctively leaping into action and onto the roof. He then hung upside down, peering down with one eye.

His long history of fighting had him instinctively believing Scott and Cassie were in danger.

However, he was taken aback by the scene below.

He saw it was indeed Scott, whom he hadn't seen in a while.

It seemed that although Scott was under house arrest, his life was still going well. He didn't look haggard, and his expression was still relaxed and comfortable.

At the moment, he was sitting in a small car that looked like it was cobbled together from a stool and cardboard boxes, playing indoor bumper cars with his daughter, Cassie?

His daughter, Cassie, was a little girl with a delicate face.

Seeing Cassie, Peter's impression of Scott's unreliability deepened even further.

According to the information, Cassie was only 10 years old, and she was only 9 years old a year ago! Six years younger than him!

How could he possibly play with such a young child?

"Oof!"

Peter's bumper car collided with the one Cassie was driving, and the buffer pad made of newspaper and old clothes on the front of the car burst open.

"You were going too fast, Peter!" Scott stood to the side, each hand holding a plate. "Are you okay, Peanut?"

"I'm fine, Dad," Cassie raised her hands and laughed.

Peter scratched his head in embarrassment. He had slightly overestimated the hardness of this bumper car, which Scott had made by hand, and he had put a little more force into kicking off the ground with his feet.

But thankfully, they were both alright.

Peter stood up from the bumper car and then helped Cassie out of hers.

Scott glanced at their joined hands and gestured, "Let's go eat over there. The living room is temporarily out of commission."

Well, the living room had been turned into a bumper car arena, so it was indeed unusable for a while.

So, Peter and Cassie followed Scott.

At this point, half an hour had passed since he had arrived at Scott's house.

Scott was very surprised by his arrival.

However, when he removed his suit and revealed his form, Scott was even more surprised.

He'd previously observed from Peter's movements that he was "immature," but he hadn't expected him to be just a teenager.

As for Peter, he was revealing his true appearance to others one after another because his strength now gave him confidence.

In terms of raw individual combat power, he possessed fifty tons of strength on his own. Wearing the Second Generation Venom Suit boosted him to hundreds of tons. At full power, he was practically a walking disaster.

Even Iron Man might not be able to stop him.

In terms of influence, he was a member of the Avengers, had Parker Polymers, which had a close cooperative relationship with Stark Industries, and was worth billions.

He was also secretly acquiring shares in multiple news websites, including the Daily Bugle, and had gained some control over public opinion.

Overall, even if his identity was exposed now, he was capable of protecting himself and his loved ones.

In that case, why bother hiding?

Peter decided to gradually reveal himself to the world.

Like Iron Man, becoming a superhero with fame and fortune!

Of course, that being said, he wouldn't actively reveal his identity.

Just because he wasn't afraid of exposure didn't mean he actually wanted to be exposed.

After all, many things would definitely change after revealing his true identity.

Scott should have talked to his daughter about Spider-Man; his daughter, Cassie, was also a cheerful and lively little girl.

Peter quickly became familiar with her.

Scott took the opportunity to suggest he make some snacks, so Peter ended up playing bumper cars with Cassie.

"Why did you suddenly come here? Is it that the Avengers are going to..." Scott used a knife and fork to cut the fried eggs into small pieces and put them on his daughter's plate, asking at the same time.

Peter shrugged, a little dissatisfied, "I just happened to be in Los Angeles, so I thought I'd come and see you. We're relatives, after all."

"Hahaha, that's right, we're related!" Scott laughed heartily.

"Dad, what's 'related'?" Cassie bit into her fried egg and looked up curiously.

"Because he's a spider, and I'm an ant," Scott explained.

Peter followed up, "In nature, many spiders and ants have a symbiotic relationship. They live together but don't interfere with each other, and sometimes even help each other."

"So you're here to help my dad?" Cassie blinked at Peter, her innocent eyes filled with a hint of anticipation.

"Sort of. I also need your dad's help," Peter replied.

"Then I hope you can help my dad finish all of this soon. My dad's not a bad guy," Cassie said.

"Of course," Peter smiled. "Your dad is a superhero, he's definitely not a bad guy."

Shortly after finishing their snacks, Cassie was picked up by Scott's ex-wife.

Peter finally had a chance to sit down and talk with Scott.

"Are you here about Hank Pym? The Avengers want to catch him?" Scott's smile disappeared, and he looked at Peter with a serious expression.

Peter shook his head. Suddenly, he frowned and reached out his hand.

Swoosh—

A web shot out and "thwack"ed onto the wall.

Peter stood up and walked over there.

Scott followed him.

They saw a large ant stuck in the middle of that small ball of web. The ant struggled, but it could only get more and more stuck in the web, finally becoming completely unable to move.

"Scott, you're being watched," Peter said, picking up the large ant and placing it in his palm. His pupils constricted, becoming pinpricks, and he noticed a super-miniature camera attached to the ant's body.

Scott's face darkened.

Using ants and a shrinking device, this method was only something his "old employer," First Ant-Man Hank Pym, would do!
