Chapter 53: A Thief Comes to Demand an Explanation??
Looking at Green Hulk's expression, which seemed as if he wanted to devour him, not only Tony, who hadn't recovered, but even Sherlock, who had mastered magic, felt a chill. Sherlock even felt that he and Green Hulk had completely formed an enmity.
Sherlock had no doubt that he would receive 'treatment' even 'higher' than Thor's.
But Thor was an Asgardian, different from an Earthling. Thor would just be stunned by a punch from Hulk, but if Sherlock took one, he'd probably be stunned for life!
Although Sherlock had already highly regarded the grudge between himself and Green Hulk, in reality, Sherlock had clearly underestimated it.
Hulk, after confirming who had destroyed his clothes, even abandoned Abomination, who was already planted in the ground. He casually found a tree by the roadside, simply trimmed it into a grass skirt, and then strode towards Sherlock.
As he walked, he squeezed his massive fists, making a crunching sound.
This scene made Sherlock's trigeminal nerve twitch continuously. He quickly waved his hands, retreating repeatedly, and shouting that it was a misunderstanding.
But it seemed Hulk had no intention of listening to Sherlock's explanation and continued to walk towards Sherlock.
Sherlock smiled bitterly. Damn it, he had just tried to be serious and accidentally injured the Green Hulk who fell from the sky. This was purely an unprovoked disaster.
He should have known better than to be so cheap as to steal Green Hulk's opponent. Wouldn't it have been better to just be Tony's healer?
Sherlock smiled bitterly, only able to retreat while trying his best to explain to Green Hulk.
But it seemed Green Hulk had no intention of listening to Sherlock's explanation and continued to press forward towards Sherlock.
Just then, a spark suddenly appeared behind Sherlock. The spark instantly formed a portal. Sherlock, who was staring intently at Green Hulk and constantly retreating, had no idea what was behind him.
He stepped into the portal. By the time Green Hulk reacted and wanted to rush forward to pull Sherlock out of that door, the portal closed instantly.
Sherlock thus disappeared from the battlefield.
Green Hulk, having lost his target, became even more enraged and could only vent all his anger on the unfortunate Abomination.
Meanwhile, Sherlock, who had stepped into the portal, only realized he was in Kamar-Taj when the portal closed.
A somewhat bewildered Sherlock had just breathed a sigh of relief when he turned around and saw Ancient One standing behind him with a smile. Ancient One seemed unusually aware of what had just happened, as she scrutinized Sherlock from head to toe.
Sherlock felt a bit unnerved by Ancient One's gaze, but he still braced himself and greeted Ancient One. After all, compared to the enraged Green Hulk, Ancient One could at least be reasoned with, right?
"Sorcerer Ancient One."
Sherlock bowed slightly to Ancient One as a greeting. Although he didn't know why Ancient One was looking for him at this moment, there was no doubt that Ancient One had solved a big problem for him.
If it weren't for Ancient One, he'd probably be in a dogfight with Green Hulk right now.
"Excellent taste!"
In response to Sherlock's greeting, Ancient One said something nonsensical to Sherlock with a smile in her eyes.
Instantly, Sherlock's expression beneath his mask became dazed. In that moment, Sherlock couldn't tell if Ancient One had seen the origin of his armor or if she was teasing him about accidentally damaging Green Hulk's shorts.
Sweating profusely, Sherlock finally decided to quickly get to the point and skip this topic. After much thought, Sherlock then bowed slightly and looked at Ancient One, saying,
"Sorcerer Ancient One, may I ask why you are looking for me?"
Looking at the seemingly nervous Sherlock, Ancient One chuckled to herself. She went back to the tea table, poured herself a cup of tea, and then slowly said,
"Nothing major, just simply want you and me to go to Asgard to demand an explanation."
If Ancient One hadn't said anything, it would have been fine, but once she did, the cold sweat on Sherlock's forehead wouldn't stop.
"Huh?????"
What? Asking him and Ancient One to demand an explanation? Are you sure you're not asking for his head? At this very moment, Odin's Destroyer Armor had already been turned into a suit and was being worn by Sherlock.
Wearing someone else's property to demand an explanation from them? This was like an old birthday boy eating arsenic, as if he thought he'd lived too long?
Sherlock knew Ancient One was incredibly powerful, practically able to walk sideways across the entire Universe, but he never expected Ancient One to be so powerful as to go to someone else's territory and demand an explanation?
Sherlock seemed to not have reacted yet, directly giving Ancient One a subway old man expression, although Ancient One couldn't see it through the mask.
Facing Sherlock's question, Ancient One remained calm. After taking a sip of tea, she said,
"Is there anything you don't understand? Earth is still Earth. Despite Kamar-Taj's protection, Odin threw Thor onto Earth without a word. His son Loki even sent the Destroyer Armor to wreak havoc. Is there a problem with me going to demand an explanation?"
It seemed to be the first time Sherlock had seen such a strong Ancient One. Although Ancient One's words were not wrong, Sherlock still silently gave Ancient One a thumbs up in his heart. A big shot is a big shot.
However, the idea of Sherlock going with her still made him uneasy. After all, he had taken someone else's property without a word and even refined it into his own equipment.
For him to wear someone else's things and go to their territory to demand an explanation, Sherlock felt it was a bit too much.
"Um, Sorcerer Ancient One, I won't go. You see, isn't it a bit inappropriate for me to go?"
Sherlock finally managed to blurt out this sentence after a long pause. Looking at Sherlock, who still seemed a bit hesitant, Ancient One just smiled. After taking a sip of tea, she said as if to herself,
"You're not going? What a pity, the magic books in a certain library in Asgard seem to have no edge with you. If I remember correctly, there's special magic in Asgard..."
Ancient One's words were interrupted by Sherlock before she could finish. Faced with the temptation of magic, Sherlock simply couldn't resist.
"Go! I'll go! Sorcerer Ancient One, I definitely have to go!"
Upon hearing Sherlock agree to her request, Ancient One's smile returned to her face. She looked at Sherlock and then continued,
"Then go back and pack your bags. Remember to change out of these clothes and hide them well. You will go as a student of Kamar-Taj, my disciple. Don't forget to notify your family."
