Chapter 51 - 51

Chapter 51: Green Hulk Attacks

Just as Sherlock was still shocked by Tony's shrewd business tactics, before he could express his astonishment and tell Tony to keep up the good work, Tony's phone rang.

Watching Tony's expression gradually shift from flamboyant to solemn after answering the call, by the time he hung up, his face was so gloomy it looked like it could drip Water.

Seeing Tony's sudden change in expression, Sherlock looked at his troublesome uncle with some confusion.

"What happened?"

Hearing Sherlock's question, Tony didn't hesitate and asked directly.

"Where's your TV? Something happened in New York City."

Hearing Tony's words, Sherlock and his group didn't hold back. They immediately led Tony and Happy to the gun shop and turned on the TV opposite the cashier's counter.

As soon as the TV was turned on, without even needing to change channels, Sherlock saw the battle in downtown New York City. The Military had even deployed tanks onto the streets of New York.

If it weren't for the live broadcast camera shaking while in the helicopter, Sherlock, with his keen perception, caught a glimpse of a yellowish-brown figure. This scene even made Sherlock wonder if the United States was experiencing a coup.

Looking at the screen, Tony's expression also turned grim. He then told Sherlock the content of the phone call.

The call's content was simple: Nick Fury hoped Tony would assist the Military in dealing with that yellowish-brown behemoth. This was not a problem; even if Nick Fury hadn't asked, Tony, as Iron Man, felt it was his responsibility.

However, Nick Fury repeatedly hinted in the call that he hoped Tony could contact the magic user from that night, even using the excuse that there was too much of a size difference between Tony and that monster.

This made Tony's face turn exceptionally dark. On one hand, he didn't want Sherlock to be involved in such a dangerous matter. On the other hand, he was angry that S.H.I.E.L.D. had not given up on investigating Sherlock's identity.

After Tony explained the situation to Sherlock, Sherlock expressed indifference, even a hint of eagerness. After all, who wouldn't be curious about the material of Green Hulk's purple shorts?

The ability to withstand Green Hulk's transformation from XL to XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXL was enough to pique Sherlock's curiosity. It's worth noting that these purple shorts were even jokingly referred to by netizens as the "Supreme Shorts" comparable to the Infinity Stones.

What's more, as a mischief-maker, Sherlock declared that he absolutely couldn't miss such an exciting event!

Seeing that Sherlock himself didn't seem to object, Tony no longer hesitated and immediately called Happy to bring over his Mark Five.

Happy, as Tony's number one lackey, naturally jogged over to the passenger seat of the G63 pickup truck, pulled out a briefcase-sized item, and threw it to Tony.

Tony simply instructed Happy to drive the car back later, then, under Skye's envious gaze, demonstrated what mechanical ascension looked like.

Watching the armor smoothly cover Tony's entire body, accompanied by a roar, Tony had already flown into the air, transforming into a tiny speck of light.

The group then dispersed and returned to the shop to continue their work, but each person had a screen in front of them, monitoring the situation in New York City.

As for Sherlock, with the cover of his uncles, he found an empty spot and completed his transformation. Seeing Sherlock in his 'gentlemanly scoundrel' attire and a cyberpunk-style helmet, his uncles all gave him a thumbs up.

They expressed that their own child was much cooler than Tony's flamboyant Iron Man, wasn't he?

This made Sherlock extremely embarrassed, and he vowed never to transform in front of others again.

After sending off his uncles, Sherlock, accompanied by a spatial distortion sound, used Phantom Shift to leave his gun shop.

When Sherlock reappeared, he was not far from the central battlefield. There were car wrecks everywhere and people screaming. Sherlock didn't immediately jump into the battle; instead, he began to rescue the injured civilians.

It must be said that magic was much more convenient than technology at this moment. With the help of the Summoning Charm and Transfiguration, Sherlock cleared the entire battlefield of civilians in just a short while.

He even had time to reinforce the severely damaged buildings, ensuring they wouldn't cause further destruction due to their damage.

After taking care of all this, Sherlock finally focused on the center of the battlefield.

At this point, Tony, relying on the Mark Five's mechanical superiority over the Mark Four, was already fighting the monster created by the Military, Abomination.

Looking at the yellowish-brown, spiky Abomination, Sherlock couldn't help but inexplicably recall the troll Harry encountered in his first year at Hogwarts.

Just as Sherlock was lost in thought, a loud bang next to him interrupted his train of thought.

Turning his head, Sherlock realized that Tony was currently trying to 'pull' himself out of a wall.

Abomination, standing in the middle of the battlefield, looked at Iron Man and Sherlock, who had just come down from the wall, with interest and did not attack.

"Haha, the United States' most famous billionaire, Tony Stark, and a rat who doesn't even dare to show his face? Interesting. Now I'm particularly eager to try what it feels like to tear a billionaire apart!"

Hearing Abomination's words, Tony's expression inside the armor changed again and again. He glared at Sherlock, who was standing not far away, and said with annoyance.

"Stop standing there gawking! You support me, let's quickly deal with this damned brute!"

Hearing Tony's words, Sherlock merely shrugged indifferently. He casually cast a 'Reparo' on Tony, restoring the damaged armor to new, then looked at Abomination standing not far away, his tone devoid of any panic.

"Tony, you're not doing so well. This kind of thing can make you so pathetic?"

Hearing Sherlock's taunt, Tony was furious, secretly vowing to continue upgrading his armor when he returned, but his expression remained grim.

"Stop spouting nonsense, kid! Pay attention, I'm going in!"

With that, regardless of how Sherlock reacted, the thrusters on his feet engaged, and he charged towards Abomination standing in the middle of the road.

Sherlock originally wanted to say, 'Can this thing even withstand one Avada Kedavra from me?', but seeing Tony charge at Abomination, he thought better of it and swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue.

Since someone had already volunteered to be the tank, Sherlock didn't mind playing the role of the magic user and having a good time with Mr. Abomination.
