Chapter 11 - 11

Chapter 11: The Miraculous magic Potion

After seeing Tony off, Sherlock returned to the lounge chair behind the counter, pondering over who had killed his original body's parents.

After all, if they could lay hands on his original body's parents, then they could certainly lay hands on him. And most crucially, Tony, America's foremost billionaire, still hadn't found any clues, which was the most troublesome point.

Sherlock lay on the lounge chair, a bit headache-ridden, holding his head and contemplating what would happen next. His magic notebook was casually placed over his face, making it look from a distance as if Sherlock was dozing off.

Meanwhile, Tony on the other side was also having a headache, the reason being the magic potion Sherlock had just given him. At this moment, the magic potion lay quietly on the passenger seat of Tony's favorite sports car.

To be honest, Tony believed that this so-called magic potion given by Sherlock would have a wound-healing effect, but Tony absolutely did not believe that this magic potion would have the miraculous and rapid effects Sherlock claimed.

Even the vague side effects Sherlock mentioned seemed more like Sherlock's way of getting back at him in Tony's eyes.

After all, their relationship was very strange now. If you talked about trust, the family bond from their bloodline could make Tony and Sherlock absolutely trust each other.

If you talked about distrust, the back-and-forth pranks between them hadn't stopped since Sherlock attended Tony's party.

Even at this moment, Tony was more inclined to believe that Sherlock's so-called side effect might be that after he drank the potion, he would find some useless human tissue, like boogers, inside the bottle, causing severe nausea.

But speaking of it, Tony was indeed driven almost mad by his minor injuries. After all, he had already decided to update the armor he built in the cave.

These injuries were like a toad jumping on his instep; they didn't bite, but they were annoying.

Every time he thought of this, Tony couldn't help but feel an urge to drink the potion Sherlock gave him dry.

The only thing that put Tony at ease was that this morning, with Pepper's help, he had updated the Arc Reactor in his chest using the industrial equipment in the Villa.

This was also a complete farewell to his past experience in the cave. Every time he thought of this, Tony couldn't help but feel sad for Ethan, his comrade in the cave.

Ethan, as a warrior, fell in the darkness before dawn. Just this alone was enough for Tony to remember Ethan's name for a lifetime.

Accompanied by the roar of the sports car, Tony finally returned to his large Villa. Grabbing the magic potion from the passenger seat, Tony strode directly into his workshop.

Casually placing the magic potion on the table, Tony poured himself a glass of whiskey before beginning to issue a series of commands to Jarvis.

"Jarvis, scan this potion from my dearest nephew. I want to know all its ingredients, especially to check for biological activity. I'm starting to suspect this kid is secretly adding something.

Then, project the Mark I blueprint. I think it's time to optimize my armor."

"Yes, sir."

Upon hearing Tony's command, the originally spacious workshop, which looked like an ordinary garage, immediately began to transform into something futuristic.

As Jarvis faithfully executed Tony's commands, 3D projections began to appear around Tony and around the magic potion.

Around Tony were projections related to the armor, while around the magic potion were beams of light, continuously scanning the magic potion sitting quietly on the table.

In just a moment, Jarvis spoke again, interrupting Tony's thoughts about the armor.

"Sir, you'd better come and take a look."

Jarvis said unhurriedly, a feeling of urgency mixed with surprise well-hidden beneath his mechanical voice.

Upon hearing Jarvis's call, Tony also snapped out of his thoughts, frowning slightly in dissatisfaction as he looked at the magic potion he had casually placed on the table and asked,

"What's wrong, Jarvis? You'd better give me a perfect explanation."

Apparently sensing the slight anger in Tony's tone from having his thoughts interrupted, Jarvis immediately answered Tony's question.

"Sir, according to all my scanning methods, the 'potion' your nephew gave you, which is on the table, is merely an empty bottle made of silicon dioxide.

However, according to my camera observations, there is liquid inside the bottle. For some unknown reason, all my scanning methods show that the bottle is empty."

Jarvis's statement quickly piqued Tony's interest. He picked up the magic potion from the table and began to examine it. Inside the silvery-White, mercury-like liquid, tiny specks of starlight continuously flickered.

The entire magic potion looked beautiful under the light, even giving Tony a feeling that such a thing should not exist in this World.

"Jarvis, are you saying all your scanning methods show this should be an empty bottle?"

Tony asked while looking at the magic potion in his hand.

"Yes, sir, I performed more than one scan, and the result was the same."

Jarvis's answer remained unhurried, as if he was stating a known fact.

Hearing Jarvis's answer, a hint of surprise appeared on Tony's face, and he muttered to himself,

"It seems my dear nephew also has a little secret that no one knows about."

With that, Tony opened the stopper of the bottle containing the magic potion, intending to gulp down the magic potion in his hand. Just as Tony was about to drink it, Jarvis stopped his action.

"Sir, I do not recommend you directly drink this liquid of unknown origin. Without the ability to scan it, I cannot determine what is truly present inside."

However, it was clear that Tony had no intention of taking Jarvis's advice. After only a moment of hesitation, Tony drank the magic potion completely dry and then said,

"Clearly, Jarvis, sometimes we need a little adventurous spirit."

As Tony's voice faded, in the next second, the magic potion's effects began to manifest. Tony was surprised to find that the wounds on his hands started to heal rapidly, as if time were reversing.

But as the magic potion took effect, its "side effects" quickly followed suit.
