Chapter 15 - 15

Chapter 15: The Birth of Iron Man (Part 1)

It must be said that Sherlock's life in Tony's Villa was arguably the happiest time he had since transmigrating, but even the happiest times eventually come to an end.

Especially after Tony completed his first battle suit.

Sherlock watched firsthand as Tony completed the final design and manufacturing of his battle suit, then stood on the circular industrial arm's workbench.

Watching the metallic silver battle suit being fitted onto Tony piece by piece, even Sherlock, being from the magic side, had to admit that this smooth transformation was something few boys could resist.

Even watching Tony wear the battle suit was so pleasing to the eye; every screw seemed to hit the G-spot of boys, making Sherlock wish he could pull Tony down and experience this pinnacle of scientific achievement himself.

However, it was clear Tony wouldn't give Sherlock that chance. After the battle suit was fully donned, Tony let out an excited shriek, then disappeared from the garage, propelled by flames.

Watching Tony fly away, Sherlock merely curled his lips, told Jarvis to open Tony's first-person view, and, hugging popcorn, acted as ground control for Tony.

It proved that after successfully creating Mark 2, Tony indeed got carried away. Despite Sherlock repeatedly advising him not to fly too high, Tony still ignored him.

Ultimately, just like in the original movie, Tony encountered the problem of the armor icing up at high altitude.

The only difference might be that the Iron Man armor now contained various magic potions stored by Tony; according to Sherlock, as long as it wasn't an instant death, he could usually be saved.

This gave Tony immense confidence, and he didn't panic like he did in the movie. In just a short while, he re-established contact with Jarvis and successfully restarted the battle suit.

After cruising around New York for an entire circle, Tony excitedly returned to the skies above his Villa, and just like in the movie, he misjudged the weight of his battle suit, ultimately crashing onto his beloved collection car in a very comical posture.

Looking at the large hole in the ceiling and Tony, who was lying bewildered in the car's front compartment, Sherlock very consciously pulled out his phone. Under the flash, Tony's embarrassing moment successfully increased by one.

Fortunately, Tony still had his wits about him and didn't directly use his palm repulsors while wearing the battle suit to force Sherlock to delete the photo. Instead, he silently got up and walked to the workbench to prepare to remove his battle suit.

Looking at the smashed luxury car and the large hole in the ceiling, Sherlock, who had been freeloading for so long, finally just pursed his lips and pulled out his magic wand.

Under the blessing of restoration, just like time flowing backward, in the blink of an eye, the luxury car and the Villa were repaired by Sherlock without a trace.

This move made Tony, who had seen Sherlock use magic to pour coffee many times, click his tongue in wonder, and even asked Jarvis to scan it.

The final conclusion was that there was no trace of damage, which made Tony, as an engineering man, only able to weakly mumble that repairing a car like this was not in line with the national conditions and the pride of an engineering man.

But in reality, he was repeatedly marveling at the wonder of Sherlock's magic in his heart.

After completing the first flight, Sherlock no longer felt like slacking off in Tony's Villa, so he told Tony that he would be leaving tomorrow. To be honest, after being away from his gun shop for so long, Sherlock really missed his little nest.

After all, gold and silver nuggets can't compare to one's own humble abode. Sherlock, just like Brother Qiang, missed his reclining chair very much.

Regarding Sherlock's farewell, Tony, who was nominally an uncle but more like a friend, naturally had no reason to stop him. He just told Sherlock that he would give him a gift tomorrow morning and then told Sherlock to quickly go back to his room to rest.

Although Sherlock was a bit puzzled, even suspecting that Tony was up to no good, it was too late now, so Sherlock didn't say much. After a greeting, he leisurely returned to his room.

He slept soundly through the night. Early the next morning, Sherlock was dragged out of bed by Tony. Looking at Tony's almost bloodshot eyes and thick dark circles, even if Sherlock was dumber, he would know that this guy definitely didn't get much sleep last night.

Annoyed, he threw a bottle of sedative potion at Tony and instructed him to drink it before bed. Sherlock was truly worried that Tony would die suddenly before Iron Man even emerged if he kept burning the candle at both ends at his age.

However, Tony didn't take Sherlock's advice seriously. Instead, he excitedly threw a helmet at Sherlock.

The helmet's appearance looked exceptionally futuristic, with a strong cyberpunk feel. A smooth, curved mirror-like surface covered the entire face.

The back of the head also featured armor made of the same metal as the Iron Man suit, plus some antennas for communication and a miniature Arc Reactor as a power source.

The entire helmet did not look bulky; instead, it was exceptionally form-fitting. All its components, when viewed together, possessed both a scientific aesthetic and a mystical magical aura.

Sherlock, as if he had found a new toy, immediately tried it on. The moment Sherlock put it on, he was pleasantly surprised to find that Tony had almost crammed all the technology he currently possessed into this helmet.

Jarvis's intelligent assistance was almost standard, and functions like radio communication, phone dialing, and noise-canceling pickup were all present.

The overall field of view was even richer than what he saw inside the Mark II helmet last night. Sherlock even discovered things like thermal imaging and night vision.

Tony had even incredibly stuffed an entire encyclopedia into the helmet. As long as Sherlock wore the helmet, he could instantly connect to Jarvis's database to look up any person or object he saw.

Tony's helmet was a pleasant surprise for Sherlock. Without any hesitation, he directly put it into his library for future use.

Sherlock even planned to ask Tony to upgrade this helmet once he mastered nano-suit technology later on. After all, this thing was truly practical; it could not only conceal his identity but also assist in combat, making it a truly good item.

Of course, since Tony had given him a gift, Sherlock couldn't not return the favor. After breakfast, Sherlock drove back to his shop.

After three days of intense work, Tony also received a return gift from Sherlock: a bag with a large space thanks to a permanent Traceless Extension Charm.

The space inside the bag was large enough for Tony to store his battle suit workbench and a set of Mark armor.

Tony's mind was filled with ideas about space folding technology and sub-space development technology for such an unscientific bag, but after a long period of research with no progress, Tony exclaimed that it was unscientific.

Sherlock was not at the Villa, otherwise, he would have inevitably teased Tony that while it wasn't scientific, it was very much magic!
