Chapter One: Arrival in the Continent of Chaos

[ Welcome to the Continent of Chaos! ]

[ As a Lord chosen by the Will of Chaos, you shall bear the destiny of the Blue Planet. You will join the struggle for supremacy among the Lords of all races on this land! ]

[ Rules: ]

[ Every Lord starts with a Lord's Cabin and a Summoning Gate. ]

[ Some of you may awaken unique Territorial Talents. ]

[ Use these advantages as the foundation to develop your land, compete in the Lord's War of all races, and strive for the title of the One True Overlord! ]

[ On the Continent of Chaos, treasures, opportunities, wealth, power, and status… everything exists! ]

[ Fight for supremacy! ]

[ Everything belongs to the Lords! ]

[ Congratulations! You have awakened a Territorial Talent! ]

"All races competing for dominance?"

Jolan opened his eyes.

"Shhhhhh~"

A freezing gust of wind swept across him, making his entire body shiver.

He stood up, dazed, and looked around.

Endless white snowfields stretched far into the horizon. Sparse cypress trees, capped with snow, swayed with the northern breeze.

Jolan pulled at his thin summer clothes, hugging himself for warmth, before turning around.

Behind him stood a small wooden cabin. Next to it was a massive three-meter-tall gate glowing with blue magical light… and an open grave?

The cold wind slapped his face, breaking him out of his stupor.

"All races fighting for dominance… So this must be my territory."

"But it turns out to be a snowfield…"

"This climate is brutal to endure."

Jolan's expression darkened.

An extreme, hostile environment.

For a Lord who needed resources to develop, this was undoubtedly a terrible start.

At that moment, a golden virtual screen appeared in front of him.

[ Lord Interface ]

[ As a beginner Lord, you are granted a 7-day novice protection period! ]

[ During these seven days, your territory will be covered by a protective shield, preventing invasions from other Lords or monsters! ]

[ After seven days, Chaos Beasts will invade your territory as a trial for novice Lords! ]

[ Please strive to develop your territory during this time and pass the Novice Trial. Otherwise, both you and your land will be erased! ]

As soon as he finished reading, a translucent, square-shaped barrier of white light enveloped his territory.

"This shield will only protect me for seven days…!"

"In that time, I must grow strong enough to fight the beasts."

"Otherwise, I'll die here."

His expression turned grim.

"First, let's check my Territorial Talent."

Jolan turned to the Lord's Cabin behind him, where another golden interface appeared.

[ Building Name: Lord's Residence ]

[ Territory Level: Novice White ]

[ Function: The daily living quarters of the Lord, as well as the storage hub of the system. ]

[ Upgrade Cost: 200 Wood, 200 Stone, 10 Metal, 5 Energy Crystals ]

[ Territory Buildings: Wooden Lord's Cabin (Novice White), Summoning Gate (Novice White) ]

[ Territorial Talent: Primal Chaos Graveyard (Legendary) (Talent grows alongside Lord) ]

[ Primal Chaos Graveyard: Any corpse buried here will grant rewards depending on the type of grave. ]

[ Current Owned Grave: Grave of Purification ]

[ Grave of Purification: Burying a corpse here allows you to inherit certain attributes of the slain creature, with a random chance of acquiring one of its skills, and a slight chance of obtaining its racial talent. ]

[ More unique graves will unlock as the territory evolves. ]

"I actually awakened a Legendary Talent?!"

Jolan felt as if he was dreaming.

"The effect of the Grave of Purification is insane… I can grow stronger endlessly with this!"

Joy surged through him.

After all, he was a transmigrator.

He had lived two lives, both painfully ordinary and unlucky.

Yet here, on the Continent of Chaos, his fate had finally shifted.

And this was only the beginning—there would be more graves in the future.

For others, the word "grave" might be grim and heavy.

But for Jolan, it had become something sweet, something filled with promise.

After calming down a little, Jolan walked up to the open grave before him.

He peered inside. Only darkness stared back. A chill crept down his spine—whether from the freezing cold or the ominous black void, he wasn't sure.

"Damn… anyone who falls into this grave is definitely out of luck."

Shaking off the thought, he turned his gaze to the towering blue-lit gate beside it. Another golden interface appeared.

[ Building Name: Summoning Gate ]

[ Building Level: Novice White ]

[ Function: You may summon 5 natives of the Continent of Chaos each day to become your subordinates. ]

[ Upgrade Cost: 100 Wood, 100 Stone, 5 Metal, 3 Chaos Gems ]

[ Prompt: Would you like to summon now? ]

"Yes!"

Jolan responded instantly.

He had no combat power himself.

The reminder that his protection would vanish in seven days weighed heavily on his mind.

The next second—

The Summoning Gate burst with dazzling blue light. Five figures emerged.

"We greet our Lord!"

All five dropped to one knee in unison upon seeing Jolan.

"Rise."

He spoke calmly, wearing the aloof demeanor of a true Lord.

"Thank you, my Lord!"

The five stood—four men and one woman.

Jolan quickly inspected their information.

Three of the men were dressed in tattered robes, ordinary villagers with no combat value.

The woman, in her late twenties, looked plain but better dressed than the rest.

[ Name: Mira ]

[ Territory: Awaiting designation… ]

[ Profession: Tailor ]

[ Power Level: Novice White ]

[ Skills: Skilled Tailoring (Intermediate White) ]

[ Loyalty: 73 ]

[ Potential: Peak Green ]

[ Overview: With proper tools, can produce decent basic clothing. ]

Jolan only glanced at her before his focus locked onto the bald, broad-shouldered man clad in simple armor and carrying a long iron-tipped spear. The man stood tall and disciplined, radiating the aura of a soldier.

[ Name: Suleiman ]

[ Territory: Awaiting designation… ]

[ Profession: Spearman ]

[ Power Level: Peak White ]

[ Skills: Straight Thrust (Intermediate Green), Spear Throw (Peak White) ]

[ Loyalty: 74 ]

[ Potential: Intermediate Blue ]

[ Overview: On the Continent of Chaos, considered expendable cannon fodder—but still a disciplined and courageous spearman. ]

Jolan's expression remained neutral, but inwardly he was thrilled.

Though inexperienced, he was a man who had lived two lives. He had read countless novels, played countless games.

With such a low-level Summoning Gate, drawing even one capable fighter on the first day was an excellent result.

"At least I have someone strong enough to fight."

He straightened and declared:

"My name is Jolan."

"Welcome to my territory. From this day on, you are my people. I promise you a prosperous future in return for your hard work and loyalty."

"Follow me, and you will never regret it. Do we have an agreement?"

"Thank you, my Lord!"

The five responded in unison.

Jolan nodded, feeling a natural sense of command stirring within him.

Just as he finished giving his speech—

Crash!

ROAR!

A violent noise erupted in the distance, followed by a bloodthirsty roar.

Everyone's expression shifted.

"What was that?!"

"Follow me!"

Fear clutched Jolan's heart, but he quickly reminded himself of the protective barrier. Calming down, he ordered his people forward.

Outside the protective shield—

A massive bear, the size of an SUV, clawed viciously at the barrier. Its fur was snow-white, its eyes glowing crimson. Razor-sharp metallic claws screeched against the shield as it tried to break in.

When it noticed Jolan and the others, its gaze turned feral and bloodthirsty, letting out another bone-chilling roar.

"It's a Chaos Beast!"

Suleiman's expression hardened as he leveled his spear, ready to strike at any moment.

Jolan looked at the beast, and another interface appeared.

[ Name: Northern Ironclaw Bear ]

[ Power Level: Peak White ]

[ Overview: A bloodthirsty beast born in the frozen northern plateaus, notorious for hunting and slaughtering any creature in its path. ]
