Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Enthusiastic Fat Boss

Yang Xiao was in Hosu City, an island nation. This was his home—an ordinary residential building, only about 60 square meters. His memories contained no information about his parents; it seemed he had no relatives in this world.

So, this house was just right for him to live in alone, and it felt quite spacious.

At the moment, Yang Xiao was in his own home, repeatedly testing his Holy Light ability, trying to master and utilize it more precisely.

Previously, the white-haired old man had said the four of them were from different factions. At the time, he didn't understand the meaning, but now he did.

The white-haired old man seemed to be the creator who had brought the four of them to this world. Yang Xiao's faction was undoubtedly the side of justice. The information from the aperture on the back of his hand indicated that in ten months, he could directly participate in the entrance exam for U.A. High School.

As long as he passed the assessment, he could directly become a student in Class A of the Hero Course, living and studying alongside the main characters of this world, growing stronger day by day.

This was indeed a good thing, but when Yang Xiao remembered there were three other transmigrators in the same world, he felt a bit apprehensive. He still remembered the appearances of those three. Although that was their appearance five years later, it was still very intimidating.

These three people might be in this island nation or in other countries. In short, there were too many uncertain factors. As transmigrators, they couldn't reveal their identities, but if they encountered others who were also transmigrators, those from opposing factions must be eliminated. This was a clear warning given by the information system, and it couldn't be taken lightly.

If you didn't kill the others, you'd be waiting for them to kill you. As for when they could leave this world, it was unknown. Currently, that was all the information available, and Yang Xiao had to carefully consider his next plan.

Since he had come to this world, he had accepted it now. He didn't know the Quirks of the other three transmigrators, but his own Holy Light Quirk was quite good. After a day of experimentation, Yang Xiao could cover his body with the power of Holy Light in a small area, but at most, it could only protect his vital parts.

This was the defensive effect. The other aspect was offense. Holy Light could cover his fists. Its current power could only punch through a wall; it couldn't destroy an entire wall. It wasn't much different from ordinary Quirks at this stage.

Everyone started from the same point; the next step depended on personal effort. Yang Xiao knew that Takoba Municipal Beach Park could be the best place to train his Quirk. This was the place where All Might trained Midoriya Izuku, but the beach park was very large. As long as Yang Xiao trained in a different spot from Midoriya Izuku, he shouldn't be discovered.

Even if he was discovered, it would be fine. The Holy Light Quirk wasn't very conspicuous in its early stages and was roughly on par with ice, fire, or electricity Quirks.

So now he had to hurry. The three other transmigrators would definitely have the same idea as him, working hard to improve their Quirks to at least ensure their own survival.

For someone like Yang Xiao, who often watched anime and attended comic conventions, My Hero Academia was very familiar territory, so this was his advantage. As long as the other three transmigrators weren't very familiar with this anime, or hadn't even watched it, then Yang Xiao would gain an edge.

If he gained time, he could become stronger first to ensure his life wasn't threatened. As for killing the other transmigrators, Yang Xiao didn't have that mindset right now, and he couldn't bring himself to do it. He was the type who wouldn't bother others if they didn't bother him. Of course, it would be a different story if he couldn't stand someone else's meddlesome behavior.

"Okay, I'll go to Takoba Beach Park to train tomorrow. I wonder if Midoriya Izuku has met All Might yet?" Yang Xiao suddenly slapped his thigh. Didn't he have a desktop computer at home? He could use the computer to check the news.

As long as the "Sludge Villain" incident had happened, he could search for it. Once that incident occurred, Midoriya Izuku's story with All Might would begin.

Yang Xiao turned on the computer and started checking the news. To his surprise, the Sludge Villain incident hadn't happened yet. Currently, the island nation wasn't too chaotic, with only small-scale violent incidents occurring.

"This means I have more time—ten months?" Yang Xiao muttered to himself, and his stomach growled.

Gurgle~

Feeling his pocket, he took out his wallet and opened it. There was indeed a stack of Japanese yen inside. Yang Xiao thought carefully, went to the bedside table in the bedroom, opened the drawer, and found a bundle of Japanese yen equivalent to about 10,000 RMB.

This money could support Yang Xiao for at most a little over a month. After that, Yang Xiao would need to work and earn money locally. His ID card and some related procedures were complete. Yang Xiao could start working as long as he applied for a job.

There was no explicit law in this world prohibiting minors from working. While they couldn't be formal employees, part-time work was fine.

Yang Xiao could support himself through part-time work. It would allow him to better integrate into this society while supporting himself—killing two birds with one stone.

Seeing the sky gradually darken, Yang Xiao took a large-denomination bill from his wallet, put on his shoes, opened the door, and went downstairs. This residential building was relatively old in Hosu City. The distance between buildings was over 20 meters, which was quite compact.

Outside the residential building was the street. A short walk further would lead to the bustling commercial district, though Hosu City was still much less developed than Shibuya.

Yang Xiao walked out of the residential building. Across the street was a ramen shop called "Fat Brother Ramen." The sign was, of course, in Japanese, but Yang Xiao could understand it, probably thanks to the golden circle on the back of his hand.

"Boss, one bowl of Seafood Deluxe Ramen!" Yang Xiao placed his order directly upon entering the shop. The fat boss nodded with a smile and went to prepare it. Yang Xiao found a corner and sat down casually.

The shop had quite a few customers. About half of the fifteen tables were occupied, by both men and women.

"Here you go, young man, your Seafood Deluxe Ramen is ready." The fat boss personally brought the noodles over. Yang Xiao hurriedly thanked him and handed over the money.

The fat boss smiled as he took the money. He glanced at Yang Xiao and said, "Young man, it seems like it's your first time eating noodles here?"

Yang Xiao was about to pick up his chopsticks; the aroma of the noodles was already wafting up. Hearing the boss's question, he turned his head and smiled, "Yes, it's my first time."

The fat boss called towards the kitchen, "Keiko, bring a bottle of juice for this young man."

Then, a woman came out from the kitchen. She glanced at the fat boss, then smiled at Yang Xiao before turning to get the juice.

"Boss, you really don't have to be so polite..." Yang Xiao said, feeling a little embarrassed. This boss was too enthusiastic.

"Hey~, young man, don't be shy. I give a bottle of juice to everyone who comes to my shop for the first time," the fat boss said with a laugh, then suddenly turned to the other customers eating and asked, "Isn't that right, folks?"

"Yes, yes, Boss Fat is great. He was very thoughtful and gave me juice on my first visit too," a male customer said with a smile.

"I still remember my first time. It was a rainy day. Boss Fat saw I was soaked and specially warmed a bowl of soy milk for me. That really saved me that day~" a female customer also said with a laugh.

Many customers in the shop chimed in, echoing the fat boss's words. Yang Xiao could only smile and thank him. The boss was so enthusiastic that he felt he had to drink this juice. But eating the noodles came first—he was starving.
