I continue to walk past them and try my best to look unbothered.
"Hey mami!I know you hear us come here!"
"That ass tho!"
"Baby!"
Just as I'm about to turn the corner,someone grabs my arm.
What's with people and grabbing my body parts.
"Let..."
As soon as I turn around I keep quiet.
"Hey,you need a ride?"
Why is Xavier Queen offering me a ride?
"Why?So you can drop me off in a ditch?No thank you."
Confusion clear in his facial expression, "I thought I'd offer you a ride since I've never seen you walk home before.And it looks like it's going to rain soon."
He sounds genuine.
"I'm not buying it."
I then fold my arms and confidently decline his offer.
I want nothing to do with him nor his friends.
I then walk away and continue my journey home.
I don't look back.
Just 5 minutes later,it starts to drizzle.
"Great.."I mumble under my breath.
I then flip my hood onto my head and try my best to pretend it is not drizzling.
Soon after it starts to rain harder.
"Are you kidding me!"I wave my arms frustratedly.
*Peep peep*
When I look towards the origin of the sound,I can't help but run towards the car.
"Xavier!"
I'm so glad he followed me.
Wait,why did he follow me in the first place.
"I couldn't let you walk home in this rain."
"Thank you so much.I truly appreciate it."
He smiles at me then shifts his focus back onto the road.
Why's he being so kind to me?He has never voluntarily spoken to me ever since we've known about each other's existence.
"Just so we're clear,I'm only in your car right now because of my hair type.If I was bald,I wouldn't have even looked to your direction."
He just huffs lightly and doesn't say a word.
"Are we clear Queen?"
He then turns to face me and simply nods.
"What?Loss of speech abilities all of a sudden?"
"No."He says coldly.
Damn it.Did I upset him?
Whatever I don't care actually.
"It's the grey house on the left."I point out.
When he drops me off,he pulls an umbrella from the backseat and hands it to me.
"No thank you.I'd only use it for a few seconds.Don't worry I'll make a run for it."
All he does after I decline his offer is smile.
"Please just take it."
I give in and accept his generous offer.
"Thank you."I genuinely say then shut the door.
He then rolls down his window and says, "You're welcome!Anytime."
Before rolling his window back up he smiles at me so I return it.
Soon after I enter the house I notice a note on the couch.
It's from my mom.
