Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 {Innocent}

Anastasia stared at the holographic screen, her expression unreadable for a moment before a sigh escaped her lips. "Foster a cooperative relationship? With Serena? Are you kidding me, Casper?" she murmured, directing her words to the shimmering ghost.

The sheer absurdity of the mission wasn't lost on her. Serena was the female lead, the golden child, destined for greatness and protected by a gaggle of handsome brothers. Anastasia, on the other hand, was the villainess—a spoiled, manipulative brat destined for downfall. Playing nice with someone whose entire plot revolved around her demise felt like walking into a carefully laid trap.

"Serena! You need to apologize to Anastasia!" Catherine snapped at Serena. Serena looked up and she frowned.

"I didn't push her," Serena said. James who is one of Serena underlining looked at Anastasia with a sneer who rolled her eyes.

"Mum, please calm down," Anastasia said in a serene tone.

"Mrs. Marcani you have surveillance cameras so we…"

Oh shit come this can't be happening.

"Mum! Sis did not push down the stairs if you don't believe me she has a video of it!" Anastasia said.

"Sis?" Serena said as she stared at Anastasia who looked at her for a moment before she looked away. Serena frowned if she knew she was videoing what was happening why did she do it?

"Mum, I am awake right let it go, mum, plus sis just got back," Anastasia said Catherine frowned but she looked at Anastasia in a dotting manner.

"Fine," Catherine said. Anastasia patted her chest thank goodness one thing out of the way!

"Miss. Anastasia, if that is all I will take him out," a servant said and Anastasia turned around looked at the villain well one can never tell if he is a main villain or not. Damn it the name of this person ah yes Vladimir Rossi. It seems before she traveled into this world the original hated Vladimir and made him stay at the greenhouse. Nope this can't happen if it does. Isn't it asking a villain to kill him? Fuck that shit! Anastasia was indifferent, serene, by nature but sharp tongue.

"Put him the guest room up on the fourth floor, make sure he has everything he needs," Anastasia said as she looked up and stood in front of the handsome Vladimir. Though he is seventeen years old he will grow up to be more and more handsome in the future. Best to lead him to the right path.

Anastasia was not good at comforting people but she reached over and touched Vladimir head.

"Have good dreams," Anastasia said as she walked off all happy. Vladimir eyed that showed innocent a moment ago were now dark and cold.

Anastasia what is up with you now? Vladimir thought to himself.

"Host you did so well! Not only did you not an exposed but you told the truth yourself!" Casper said and Anastasia closed her eyes. Everyone was already out of the beautiful living room.

"I made through this day, my net worth, my trillions all gone," Anastasia whined in her heart as she walked up the stairs all the way into her room. She looked at herself in the mirror. Though she traveled into a book, and is now seventeen years old the adopted daughter of the Marcani Family, this novel is extremely long it's not just a novel but also a manga. Anastasia touched the mirror as she thought to herself. It doesn't matter as long as she is able to go back she will do any of the missions.

Casper zipped around Anastasia's head, leaving a trail of shimmering stardust in its wake.

"Don't be so gloomy, Host! You're already doing better than the original Anastasia! She would have been screaming and throwing a tantrum by now."

Anastasia scoffed, sinking into a plush velvet armchair in her opulent bedroom. The room was decorated in a style she found utterly bland – all pastel colors and frilly accents. She immediately made a mental note to have it redecorated with darker, more sophisticated tones once she had a chance. A clean freak at heart, she meticulously straightened the cushions and smoothed out any wrinkles on the curtains.

"Tantrums are inefficient," Anastasia stated dryly, picking up a small, intricately carved wooden box from a nearby table. Inside lay a collection of rare teas—another indulgence she couldn't resist. Anastasia body was weak and she needed at least twelve to thirteen hours of sleep. For Anastasia she only likes few things, eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping, watching movies, and sleeping some more. If anything else she really didn't care.

"Casper show me my system profile," Anastasia said as she laid flat on her bed.

Casper instantly complied, the holographic screen reappearing before Anastasia's eyes. This time, it displayed a detailed profile, showcasing her current stats and available skills.

"See? Not so bad," Casper chirped, circling Anastasia's head.

"You've already got a decent chunk of Soul Points! Just imagine what you'll be able to do once you unlock that 'Charm & Influence' skill! Think of all the possibilities!"

Anastasia scanned the profile with a critical eye.

"Decent chunk? Look here Casper in the system shop everything is so expensive! Might as well rob me!" Anastasia said coldly before she sighed.

"What is soul points?" Anastasia asked.

Casper paused in its flight, momentarily taken aback by Anastasia's abrupt shift in tone.

"Well, Soul Points are essentially your currency within the System," Casper explained patiently.

"They're earned by completing missions, demonstrating productivity, and generally contributing to… well, not causing chaos. You can use them to purchase skills, items, and even upgrade your stats."

"The more productive you are, the more Soul Points you accumulate. But be warned," Casper added with a slightly ominous tone.

"The System does penalize idleness. Failing to meet certain productivity thresholds results in Soul Point deductions and… other unpleasant consequences."

Anastasia frowned slightly as she considered this information. A system that rewarded productivity and punished idleness? It sounded suspiciously like her own life back in her previous world—a constant pressure to achieve and excel or face dire repercussions.

"Also the more the system upgrades the better I get!" Casper said.

"Really? How many points do you need to upgrade?" Anastasia asked.

"Well it depends on the upgrade full upgrade is 100,000 system points and 2,000 soul points."

Anastasia was speechless that just robbery!
