c74 – Super Saiyan God Son Goku's Challenge
After returning from the yacht, Lin Hao once again stepped into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train.
Lin Yi accompanied him, determined to surpass his limits beside his father.
In his own words, "Since Dad's power can exceed that of a God of Destruction, how can a son of his fall behind?"
Lin Hao smiled proudly, resting a hand on his son's head.
"Yes, that's my boy. You already surpass Goten and Trunks in determination. They've got talent, but they slack off too much. You, at least, understand what Saiyan pride means."
"Don't worry, Dad! I'll keep pushing! I've already reached Super Saiyan Two, and soon, I'll break into a new form!"
"Good. Whenever you hit a wall, ask me. Never stop learning."
Lin Hao rose into the air, legs folded, and began to meditate, replaying countless battle scenarios in his mind Beerus's speed, Whis's calm precision, and the overwhelming pressure of divine ki.
Even though Lin Hao's power had already surpassed the Angel-tier, he knew the multiverse still hid stronger beings the Grand Priest, Zeno, and even warriors from universes erased in previous timelines. A Saiyan's training could never truly end.
Time in the chamber flowed differently; a full day outside felt like months within.
"Ding-dong! System prompt a new daily sign-in has begun. Does the host wish to sign in?"
"Sign in."
"Congratulations! Host receives one million zenny."
Lin Hao sighed. "Money again? Guess the system's in a lazy mood today."
He stored the money away and exited the Time Chamber.
At that moment, two familiar auras appeared fiery red and sharp blue. Son Goku and Vegeta stood before him.
"Huh? Goku, Vegeta what brings you here?" Lin Hao asked, raising an eyebrow.
Normally, the two were lost in their own training. For both to appear at once meant something interesting.
"Lin Hao!" Goku said, eyes blazing with excitement. "I finally did it I became Super Saiyan God! Fight me!"
The divine crimson aura flickered around him calm, pure, and vibrant with godly ki.
Vegeta stood with his arms crossed, smirking. He hadn't performed the ritual himself yet but was curious to witness the transformation's true power.
"Oh? A match?" Lin Hao grinned. "You must've gotten a new power-up and can't wait to test it."
Goku scratched his head sheepishly. "Hehe, yeah! After watching you take down Lord Beerus, I couldn't stop thinking about it. My fists have been itching ever since!"
He spoke honestly yesterday's battle between Lin Hao and Beerus had reignited his Saiyan spirit. Though he had felt Lin Hao's overwhelming power before, his new divine form gave him hope for a real challenge.
"In that case," Lin Hao said, stretching his arms, "let's see how strong you've become. What about you, Vegeta? Want to join?"
Vegeta scoffed, flicking his cape. "Hmph. I'll pass. I'm not stupid enough to get beaten down twice in one week. I'll just observe your little spar with Kakarot."
Though his pride burned, Vegeta had learned to recognize reality Lin Hao's strength had already surpassed Beerus and even Whis. For now, he would watch and learn.
"In that case," Lin Hao said, turning toward the open sky, "let's take this somewhere else. I don't want to destroy my home again!"
The ground beneath them trembled as both warriors' ki flared Goku's red divine flame and Lin Hao's silvery-white aura twisting together like two galaxies on the verge of collision.
After giving a few words to No. 18 and Lin Yi, Lin Hao brought Son Goku and Vegeta to a desolate planet far from any life, its cracked terrain and red atmosphere making it ideal for an unrestricted battle.
"Alright, Goku," Lin Hao said calmly, arms folded. "Show me this Super Saiyan God of yours."
"Okay! Then I won't hold back! Vegeta, keep your distance I don't want you caught in the shockwaves!"
Goku turned to Vegeta, who only gave a slight nod before flying off to a nearby ridge, folding his arms to observe.
"Don't embarrass yourself, Kakarot," he muttered.
Now standing opposite Lin Hao, Goku's expression grew serious. He knew full well that facing Lin Hao wasn't like facing Beerus there would be no holding back. Every spar with Lin Hao ended before Goku even realized how overmatched he was.
"Haaaah!!"
A deep roar rose from Goku's throat. The ground trembled as divine ki erupted from within him, forming a fiery red aura that rippled like molten energy.
In seconds, his hair turned crimson, his eyes shifted to a softer red hue, and his body grew leaner yet radiated unearthly calm. The blazing godly aura wrapped around him in a continuous, flickering flame.
This was Super Saiyan God Son Goku the divine state that once rivaled Beerus during their legendary clash.

Lin Hao smiled faintly, sensing the divine ki that ordinary mortals couldn't feel.
"Yes, this is the true form of the Super Saiyan God. Your ki has become calm, divine… almost impossible to sense. Impressive. Now show me what that power can really do."
He pointed two fingers toward Goku, signaling him to begin.
"Huh? Lin Hao, you're not going to transform into Super Saiyan Four or beyond?" Goku asked in surprise.
The fiery red aura shimmered around him like a living flame. Even he could feel how immense his new divine power was and Lin Hao intended to face it untransformed?
"Don't worry," Lin Hao said with a grin. "If I go straight to Super Saiyan Four, you wouldn't last even a few seconds. You don't want this match to end before it even starts, do you?"
Goku chuckled. "Heh, yeah, you're right. If you used that power, I'd be out instantly! In that case, I'll come at you with everything I've got!"
Without another word, Goku's figure vanished.
"Whish!"
He appeared right in front of Lin Hao in less than a heartbeat, fist cocked and ready. His punch sliced through the air, leaving a shockwave that shattered the ground beneath them.
Lin Hao smirked even he was impressed by Goku's new speed.
At the last instant, Lin Hao tilted his head aside and slipped past the punch effortlessly, his movements smooth and precise.
Goku followed up instantly with a sweeping kick his godly reflexes faster than the human eye could track.
Seeing the movement, Lin Hao's body shimmered, his aura flaring briefly as he shifted into Super Saiyan Two, golden lightning crackling around him. He stepped back twice and narrowly dodged Goku's sweeping leg.
"Oh? You've powered up to Super Saiyan Two?" Goku grinned, eyes flashing red. "Looks like you're starting to take this seriously, huh?"
Lin Hao's expression remained calm. "Indeed. You're slowly drawing out my strength that's good. It's been a while since I've had to warm up like this."
He cracked his knuckles, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"It seems I won't be able to hold back for long."
The atmosphere vibrated with divine pressure as both fighters' auras flared — red flames against golden lightning, divine ki clashing with mortal might.
At that moment, even Vegeta on the nearby ridge could barely stand firm as the air itself split apart.
"Tch… these two are on a completely different level," he muttered, watching in awe.
Lin Hao's eyes gleamed. So this is the full power of a Super Saiyan God, Goku. Not bad… but let's see how long you can last once I stop testing you.
