c73 – Reject Whis
"Lord Beerus has been defeated!"
Watching Beerus fall through the air, Whis stood gracefully, his usual calm smile never fading. He lifted his angelic staff and waved it lightly.
With a soft hum, the shimmering barrier dissolved into motes of light, and Beerus' unconscious body slowly drifted down, landing gently before him.
"What a fascinating mortal," Whis murmured, gazing at Lin Hao's fading silver aura. "I had foreseen this possibility, but to see Lord Beerus actually lose… he'll be furious when he wakes up."
The angel knelt slightly, inspecting the battered God of Destruction. Even in defeat, Beerus' divine ki still rippled with latent fury. Yet Whis, as always, remained utterly unfazed by his master's temper.
Whoosh...
Lin Hao descended from the sky, landing smoothly on the Capsule Corporation deck below. His Ultra Instinct aura receded completely, leaving behind a calm and composed presence.
He approached Whis, his voice steady. "Whis, I'm sorry. Beerus lost control of himself he was beyond reason. I had no choice but to knock him out. Please, take him back to the Destruction Realm."
Whis chuckled softly, lifting his staff. "Of course. I'll return Lord Beerus to his planet. When he wakes, his pride will be in tatters but perhaps that's just what he needs."
He tilted his head, studying Lin Hao thoughtfully. Whis knew better than anyone how arrogant Beerus could be, and he also knew this defeat would sting more than any physical wound.
Lin Hao folded his arms, smiling faintly. "You don't have to tell me. Even so, for him to surpass me again, it'll take years of divine training."
Whis laughed quietly. "Haha… perhaps this will finally motivate him to take training seriously. Well then, Mr. Lin Hao, I'll take Lord Beerus home now. The food here on Earth was delightful, as always thank you for the hospitality."
He turned to leave, but paused as a thought struck him. "Oh, before I forget—Mr. Lin Hao, have you ever considered becoming a God of Destruction?"
Whis's tone was casual, but his words carried weight. With Beerus' recent humiliating loss, the Grand Priest had begun observing potential successors across the universes. Lin Hao's power, exceeding even angelic levels of Ultra Instinct, easily qualified him as a candidate.
"Given your strength, you could serve as an alternate until Lord Beerus steps down," Whis added lightly.
Lin Hao's expression softened. "No, I'm not interested in that. I prefer freedom. Destruction isn't my path." He looked up toward the sky. "I'd rather live without divine rules or hierarchies."
Whis nodded knowingly. "I expected as much. You've long since transcended titles."
Lin Hao smiled. "But you're always welcome to visit Earth. The food's still better than anything in the divine realms."
Whis chuckled again. "Oh, I don't doubt it. Earth's cuisine has truly spoiled me."
As he lifted Beerus with his staff, the unconscious god floated beside him, twitching faintly. Whis looked back one last time. "Until we meet again, Mr. Lin Hao. I look forward to our next meal."
With a soft ripple of light, Whis and Beerus vanished, leaving only silence and the distant hum of wind.
Lin Hao stood quietly, his gaze following the fading glow in the sky. At this point, his strength had surpassed even Whis. There was nothing left the angels could teach him only new universes left to explore.
Ultra Instinct? Or something else? Lin Hao didn't need to wonder. He didn't rely on instinct alone his system transcended every divine limit. The power within him surpassed even the teachings of angels.
"Haha!!"
Whis chuckled softly, his calm voice carrying a note of amusement. "Is that so? In that case, I won't argue. But I must say, Mr. Lin Hao, I'm delighted you invited me to Earth again. The food here is beyond divine."
Whis covered his mouth with a polite smile, visibly pleased. The angel who had once tasted food across universes was now completely captivated by Earth's delicacies.
Lin Hao smiled back. "Next time you visit, Mr. Whis, I'll take you to taste the best Earth has to offer flavors even your angelic palate has never experienced."
Whis nodded, eyes sparkling with interest. "Then I shall thank you in advance… though I'll have to return Lord Beerus first. Your last strike was rather merciless I fear he'll wake up in quite a mood."
He waved his staff, and Beerus' unconscious body became enveloped in a pale green divine energy barrier the same angelic stasis field used to heal gods.
Lin Hao said lightly, "If he gets too rowdy, just smack him once. With your strength, you could subdue him anytime."
Whis laughed, a rare sound for an angel. "Oh ho! Perhaps I'll try that next time. Farewell for now…"
With a graceful gesture, Whis vanished in a swirl of divine light, taking Beerus with him.

When the air settled, everyone aboard the yacht rushed over.
"Are you alright!?" Android 18 asked, worry flashing in her blue eyes.
Lin Hao smiled confidently. "Don't worry. I'm the strongest man in the universe — I'm fine." He put an arm around 18 and kissed her gently, easing her tension.
"Dad! You were amazing! You even beat the God of Destruction!" Lin Yi shouted, running up and hugging his father's arm.
Lin Hao laughed. "Haha, one day you'll surpass me. You've got my blood — and your mother's determination."
"I will! I'll become even stronger than you, Dad!" Lin Yi said, clenching his tiny fists.
"Good boy," Lin Hao said proudly.
---
Goku stepped forward, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "Lin Hao, that was incredible! I never knew your power went that far. That silver form it wasn't Super Saiyan, was it? Is that Ultra Instinct? And… does Super Saiyan God really exist?"
Vegeta crossed his arms, silently listening, his pride mixed with intrigue.
Lin Hao nodded. "To become a Super Saiyan God, five pure-hearted Saiyans must transfer their energy of righteousness into one. As for my silver form , it's not a Saiyan transformation. It's a divine state known as Ultra Instinct a technique used by angels and mastered only through perfect serenity. It's beyond transformation it's pure instinct."
Goku's eyes widened with excitement. "The Realm of the Gods, huh? No wonder your energy felt so different!"
He grinned eagerly. "So if I can gather five Saiyans and pour their energy into me… I could reach that God form too?"
Lin Hao nodded with a knowing smile. "Exactly. Let Vegeta, Goten, Trunks, Gohan, and Pan lend you their power. You'll awaken the divine red flame — the power Beerus was searching for."
Lin Hao looked at the sea horizon and said calmly, "Anyway, I've had enough fighting for today. Let's go home."
He wrapped an arm around Android 18 and, with Lin Yi in tow, vanished from the yacht in a flash of light.
---
After Lin Hao's departure, Goku clenched his fists. "Alright! Let's do it! Vegeta, I need your help I'm going to become Super Saiyan God!"
Vegeta snorted but nodded. "Hmph. Don't think I'll let you have all the glory, Kakarot."
Soon, just as in the ancient Saiyan ritual, energy flowed from five Saiyans into Goku. His aura ignited crimson, and flames of divine ki wrapped around his body the birth of Super Saiyan God.
Vegeta watched in silence, envy flickering in his eyes. The transformation was magnificent, yet he felt drawn toward another path the evolution of the Saiyan bloodline itself.
He clenched his fists. "No… I'll forge my own way. Not a god's borrowed power but the true Saiyan power born from within."
Vegeta looked into the distance where Lin Hao had vanished. "Lin Hao, Kakarot… I'll surpass you both in my own way."
The wind carried away his words the oath of a proud Saiyan prince, preparing to walk a path no god could dictate.
