c75: Super Four VS Super Saiyan God
"Aha!"
With a low roar, golden-red energy erupted from his body, and in an instant, Lin Hao's form was enveloped in blazing crimson fur and deep golden aura his pupils shining like molten gold. He had transformed into Super Saiyan 4, his tail flicking behind him like a whip of power.
"Come on! Let's continue!"
Lin Hao hooked a finger at Goku, inviting the Saiyan to attack.
"Lin Hao, so you've finally tapped into that power too! Don't hold back now!"
Goku grinned, the divine crimson glow of Super Saiyan God burning around him like liquid flame.
Dha!
The ground cracked as Goku shot forward, his divine ki trailing behind him in streaks of red light.
Their fists collided Boom! the impact created shockwaves that shattered the nearby cliffs.
Lin Hao barely shifted, his expression calm as he twisted aside, avoiding Goku's next punch with effortless precision.
"Yosh! Now that's more like it!"
Goku shouted, excitement blazing in his eyes as he launched a barrage of blows.
"Ah-da-da-da-da!"
A storm of punches and kicks filled the sky, each strike carrying the divine energy of a god. The sheer wind pressure distorted the air, creating rings of force that rippled outward like explosions.
But despite the onslaught, Goku's attacks struck nothing but afterimages. Lin Hao, his fur rippling in the storm, dodged every blow without countering once. His movements were too fast, his reflexes too sharp every strike from Goku missed by a hair's breadth.
"Kakarot, you fool!" Vegeta snarled from the sidelines, arms crossed. "Charging in headfirst like that he's reading your every move!"
Goku gritted his teeth, sweat forming on his brow. What's going on? I'm moving faster than ever… why can't I land a single hit?
When he became Super Saiyan God, Goku believed his power had surpassed Lin Hao's previous limits. But reality said otherwise the difference between them hadn't shrunk. It felt just as wide as before.
"When I was Super Saiyan 4, I couldn't beat your Super 2 form," Goku thought grimly. "Now, even with divine ki, the gap's still the same…"
Lin Hao smiled faintly, slipping past another punch. "Your strength's incredible, Goku but compared to mine, you've still got a long road ahead."
"I don't believe that!" Goku roared. "Haaaaah!"
The divine flame flared, scorching the clouds as his aura skyrocketed. The sky itself turned red, and the earth trembled beneath his feet. Goku vanished, reappearing right before Lin Hao like a bolt of lightning.
His fists moved faster than light Wham! Wham! Wham! but Lin Hao still weaved through them like a phantom, barely tilting his head or raising his arm to block.
Half an hour passed in a blur of impacts.
"Huff… huff…"
Goku panted heavily, his chest heaving. Though Super Saiyan God consumed energy efficiently, the sheer intensity of his continuous assault had drained him.
Lin Hao, by contrast, looked untouched. His breathing hadn't even quickened a monster of stamina and composure.
"Damn it, Lin Hao," Goku admitted between gasps. "I threw everything I had… and didn't land a single hit."
He grinned sheepishly. "Can't you at least take me seriously once?"
Lin Hao chuckled. "You want a real fight? Fine , I'll indulge you."
He tossed Goku a Senzu Bean.
"Oh, perfect timing!" Goku grinned, catching it midair and chewing it down. Instantly, his wounds and fatigue vanished.
"Alright! Let's go again full power!"
"Your enthusiasm never changes," Lin Hao replied, his golden eyes narrowing. "But don't say I didn't warn you."
He raised his aura to match Goku's divine energy, the ground beneath him exploding from the pressure. With a flash, Lin Hao appeared before Goku — Boom! his punch barely grazed Goku's cheek as Goku spun back, countering with a high roundhouse kick.
Lin Hao raised his left arm, blocking it effortlessly, then twisted and drove a fist toward the back of Goku's head.
But in a blink Whoosh! Goku vanished using Instant Transmission, reappearing behind Lin Hao and hammering both fists down.
Boom!
The impact cratered the battlefield, sending debris flying. Lin Hao fell like a meteor, smashing into the ground and forming a massive pit.
"Heh… I finally landed one," Goku smirked, wiping sweat from his brow.
From within the crater, Lin Hao's laughter echoed. "Not bad, Goku. Instant Transmission mid-combat you've refined your instincts."
He rose slowly, dust swirling off his red fur. "But now, it's my turn."
Goku's eyes gleamed. "Finally! I've fought you enough times to know your style, Lin Hao. You're not untouchable anymore!"
"Then prove it."
Lin Hao's energy surged again, dark red lightning crawling through his aura. The ground split, unable to withstand the pressure.
"Take this, Lin Hao!" Goku yelled, cupping his hands as divine ki gathered. "Ka… me… ha… me… HAAA!!"
A massive crimson-blue beam tore through the sky.
Lin Hao smirked. "Hmph. You think I'll lose to that?"
He formed his own stance, energy blazing between his palms. "Final Shine… FLASH!"
Two beams collided in midair, the resulting explosion lighting up the heavens. The shockwave rippled across mountains, seas, and even space itself a clash between Saiyan instinct and divine power.
And in that storm of energy, neither Lin Hao nor Goku showed signs of retreat. Their rivalry had only just begun.
